“One of the best meals I've had in Alexandria, if not the best. Pimento cheese is phenomenal, the country fried steak was even better. Brought my parents who eat at high-end restaurants around the country frequently and they were blown away by the food. Server was very knowledgeable and kind. 11 out of 10“

“My wife, mother, and I went here for Christmas and had a great experience. It was a very intimate setting with not a lot of people which I liked. The food was absolutely amazing! We all got the she crab soup as an appetizer and it was delicious! For entrees my wife and I ordered the jambalaya and my mom ordered the blackened salmon. My wife and I loved the jambalaya and my mom said the salmon was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive at the beginning but as more people came in we saw her less and less. She started to forget things that we asked her for towards the end and we would not see her for quite some time. But I give her a bit of grace because it seemed to be only 2 waiters including her and they also seemed to be taking care of the bar as well which is alot! Overall we loved this restaurant and would definitely go back.“

“First time back since renovations and wow what a story this place is. It started with the chicken & waffles. The meat was really pink and hard to bite into so I decided to do french toast instead. (Minus the almond cookies.) and it was delicious but it was soft as butter so I had to request a spoon 😮 On top of that, the bartender complimented not only my neurodivergent tattoos 🏳️🌈♾️ but also gave me a free mocktail. Though I will warn you it’s real strong. I tasted mostly lemon but it had a hint of maple and tea. Which is ironic because strong taste is why I prefer tea over coffee (if I had to pick between the two). Regardless, these people deserve some love especially in the economic crises we have.“

“Vola’s has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Old Town Alexandria. Food and drinks are always fabulous. But the team and leadership is excellent. One of the managers, Phil, ensured that the requested tv channel was on and continued to check in to make sure our meals and drinks were tasty. I made the mistake of forgetting my leftovers, and we went back and explained what happened. Phil made sure to take care of the situation and provided me the meal that i had. THANK YOU PHIL! there wee many restaurants who wouldn’t care about a customer mistake, but he went out of his way to set the standards high. Thank you, thank you, thank you!“

“This was my second visit and somehow it was even better than the first. The drinks menu is genuinely one of a kind — creative, carefully crafted, and unlike anything else in the city. The overall dining experience is truly unparalleled; from the moment you walk in, everything feels exceptional. The service is first class in every sense, and Will in particular went above and beyond — an absolute gem. This place has my heart. I’ll keep coming back!“
“Best brunch option! Menu has all the favorites to please any appetite. Excellent bloody mary's and coffee. We had a great table right in the front windows and enjoyed some people watching. The staff never rushed us, we sat for hours talking and eating. Fairly spendy (~ &60/ea including tip: shared app, entree, coffee, bloody mary, shared dessert) but very worth it.“

“Service:
This was our first time visiting Old Town Alexandria, and while we originally had another restaurant in mind, Vola’s won us over with its waterfront location and inviting menu. We were told the wait would be 25 minutes, but we were seated in just 15, already a great start. The staff was warm, friendly, and helpful with recommendations throughout the meal, making us feel right at home.
Taste:
We started with the crab hush puppies and oysters, both were so flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and reasonably priced. For our main course, we had the shrimp and grits and the fish and chips. Both dishes were fresh, satisfying, and generously portioned. Every bite was devoured. The drink of the night was a summer Prosecco and passion fruit special, light, refreshing, and delicious. The best part? The refill was cheaper. More restaurants should definitely take notes on that.
Ambiance:
Vola’s has the perfect laid-back yet elevated waterfront vibe. The view of the water, paired with a lively but not overwhelming crowd, made for a relaxed and memorable evening. It’s great for first-timers to Old Town, date nights, or a dinner out with friends.
Overall Review:
Vola’s was a pleasant surprise and a spot we’ll definitely be revisiting. From the quick seating and great service to the flavorful food and creative drinks, everything hit the mark. Highly recommend if you’re in the area, you’ll want to come back too.“
“Ms. Kathy was an amazing tour guide. Ms. Taylor was very kind also. It is a great banquet facility not open on Sunday or Mondays. It is carpeted, and can be configured in many different ways and room sizes. Lots of parking, food is available for a cost.“

“The Belvedere Bar, situated in the lobby of the Gaylord National Resort, is truly the standout among the resort’s many dining and drink options. It has quickly become my favorite spot on the property. The service is consistently prompt and attentive, and the bartenders craft drinks that are both impressively balanced and strong.
A particularly thoughtful feature is their self-serve water station—an excellent convenience, especially given the high volume of guests the resort attracts. It’s a small detail that demonstrates the bar’s commitment to guest comfort and efficiency.
During the holiday season (November and December), the Belvedere Bar offers what is arguably the best seat in the house for viewing the resort’s Christmas tree light show. Enjoying a well-made cocktail while taking in the festive ambiance makes for a truly memorable experience.
Highly recommend stopping by—whether you're staying at the resort or simply visiting, the Belvedere Bar is a must.“

“Went there on Friday Sept 8 to see The Binta Campbell Experience and it was AWESOME! She and her band were really good, we enjoyed the "daye night" vibe. The wings were good, but the "crab dip" was definitely NOT crab....it was artichokes 😠🤮😳. and totally disgusting. I paid $15 for some crab dip with 🚫🦀 SMH“
