“Great morning coffee spot! The atmosphere was very chilled. There were two couples on a date and something working in the corner. The soft music made me want to stay and the Açaí bowl was so refreshing and delicious! The staff mad an extra fruit toast that they offered me before I left and OMG! I will be going back tomorrow morning. I can't believe I've missed this place. It's right beside the OTHER place that is similar but I'm glad I came in here! Black owned, multi culturally operated and it just feels like warmth!“

“The Qabuli Rice was gently seasoned, without being overwhelming, and studded with moist tender lamb. Equally impressive were the spinach and okra dishes that were fresh, tasty, and well cooked. Along with the side salad [lemony and slightly spicy], these side dishes were competing for my attention for the above reasons and being less greasy than most places. I suggested to the owner that the side vegetables should be made into a combo dish, to which they accommodated my request. Smart decor and amiable service. Their house-made saffron ice-cream is on my next visit list.“

I’ve been to this cafe a couple of times and had great food and drinks both times. Most recently I went for Saturday brunch with a friend. I should have expected it, but the line was very long. That said, the girl at the counter was working her tail off not only talking orders but also making all of the beverages for each order (including seasonal lattes). Everyone in the kitchen seemed to be working non stop, so I give them kudos for such a delicious meal.

I got The Ian (toast with smoked salmon and poached eggs) and my friend got the OG breakfast bowl. Both were delicious and we cleaned our plates. We also both got oat milk PSL’s which were flavorful and yummy.

We sat upstairs, which was a bright and had plenty of extra seating despite the downstairs being pretty packed. We sat and talked for a while, and someone came around to ask how the meal was and take our dishes, which was nice. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful.

I didn’t order any baked goods, but I did notice they have a variety of Greek sweets as well as even some vegan baked goods. They all looked incredible, and I’ll be trying something next time.“

“I got an espresso machine for christmas and it takes very specific beans. I was asking Kira about which bean would be best, and they were so helpful. They called the boss and got all the info I needed. I told them I didn’t want to be any trouble, but they insisted and were so accommodating.
The coffee was also bomb, and came out quickly. I got the salted caramel cold brew which I highly recommend“

“On a roll is a deli within a business office. You hang a left after going in the main doors towards the deli. The service was fast, and the food was delightful! Ate there more than once. Thursdays they do a Korean Pork Bulgogi. It is busier on Thursdays because it's popular.“

“Good, basic pizza that's served fast and hits the spot. A little on the higher end of pricing but you do get a lot. You can have it with any toppings so long as they are either cheese, pepperoni or sausage. Parmesan and pepper flake packets available. Also some good cookies to top it off. You can also have your food delivered directly to your site for free.

“My favorite lunch spot in Greenbelt!The food is made to order, the Sushi (which is fantastic!) is hand rolled fresh every day. They have a different special every day (Tuesdays is Bi Bim Bop!), and everything I've gotten here whether it's a wrap, a sandwich, or a hot entree has been wonderful.The service is delightful, the three people running this charming cafe are friendly, kind, and take pride in good service.The cafe is always impeccably clean, there's lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The building it's located in also has a charming courtyard surrounded by trees with tables you can enjoy your lunch at.The prices are very reasonable, and whether you're looking for a bag of M&Ms, a sandwich, or a full meal they're bound to have something for you.If I sound like a fan, it's because I am!

“Worked in adjacent building for a few years before the pandemic, and then switched jobs, and now am down the road. Starting the day with a breakfast sandwich from the Merriweather Cafe & Deli would sustain me the entire day sometimes, and the staff there are very friendly, which also adds to starting off the day nicely. I hadn't been there in a while and was glad to see they are still open. NOTE: There is no big sign on the building. There is a glass door on the first floor (by the main upper parking lot entrance) and just has a sign saying Merriweather Deli and their hours. Enjoy!

Parking: Parking in the garage is the considerate thing to do versus parking along the side of the courtyard. It isn't that much farther, and if you drive electric there are Chargepoint EV chargers there.“

The owner provided very friendly service as well as his other staff. He was very patient in informing me of the available meal options, and allowed me to sample the chicken items that I was interested in

“This is my new favorite place to eat in Ellicott City! First of all the food is incredible. The garlic sauce we ordered as an appetizer alone would have satisfied me but the food just keep getting better. So fresh and so flavorful!! The owner introduced himself and made us feel so welcome. Their story is incredible! The ambiance was absolutely lovely. They had live musicians who were extremely talented and added a tone that was fun and enjoyable but not at all overwhelming or too loud. The service was impeccable. I cannot recommend enough! We will definitely be going back very soon!“

“I recently ordered a Turkey Bacon BLT sandwich, and it was delicious! The combination of turkey bacon, crisp lettuce, and juicy tomatoes hit all the right notes😌. The only thing I’d change next time is to ask for the bread to be toasted—it would have added that extra crunch. Still, the sandwich was fantastic, and the staff were super polite and attentive. “I've been getting takeout here somewhat regularly for almost 10 years I think. The people that run the place are always friendly. Highly recommend the chicken & broccoli (with white rice), shrimp fried rice, or lo mein. Note that the fried rice is heavier on the onions and lighter on the peas/sprouts compared to other places, which I prefer. It ain't fancy but fancy is overrated and this hits the spot.“
