“Royal Taj is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, like our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week. It never fails to deliver excellence. Because it was a very special dinner, we decided to try something different. So my wife ordered the Lobster Malabar and I ordered the Grilled Halibut. Both were very good, especially the Halibut which was covered in an outstanding Corn Relish. To top off the evening our excellent server, Joshi, brought us a slice of very tasty cheesecake with a lit candle on top. As usual we cannot rave loud and often enough about Royal Taj and it is all due to the GM Binda, who is very friendly, charismatic and truly sets the tone of excellence at Royal Taj.“

“I've been meaning to try this for years. I can't believe I waited so long. The food is SO GOOD!! We got butter chicken pizza, lamb Rogan Josh, garlic naan, and kashmiri naan. All delicious. The lamb Rogan Josh is some of the best I've ever had!! And they were so nice while I waited for my take out, offering me a beverage and a place to sit. “While this won’t stop us from ordering their delicious food again, tonight’s experience just wasn’t the same. I ordered the family package with vegetarian Biryani, which included raita, salan, plain rice, naam, and chicken curry. We got our order and it was missing the salan. I called the restaurant and got the weirdest explanation. “It’s a very small container. They make a large container and if it runs out. But it’s just a small container of peanut sauce.” I don’t care what the size of the container is, it’s advertised as a package and I expect everything in the order.“

“We had the Gujrati Thali and it was EXCELLENT. The food was very authentic, and there were many different dishes included. Highly recommend this vegetarian thali! Also, the service was friendly and wonderful.“

“Excellent Indian food that would tend say has the taste and feel of the authentic dishes. Their Thali platter has been hit for myself and family. A great all rounder if you like to get a tasting of a bunch of dishes at a go. Also a call out for the coriander chicken dish, well marinated and cooked to a tender, flavorful awesomeness. Well worth a visit! Awesome staff!“

“Very good benefit of this place is they close quite late (until 1 am). That's good for night people who just get off work or feel hungry late night. Many interesting Indian and Nepalese food choices. I ordered take-out Chicken Saag, Chicken Biryani and Garlic Naan. They might not the best Indian dish that I have ever had before, but I can say, the food was fine and has a standard taste that supposed to be. (the flavor is fairly mild) The restaurant building condition seem hidden and aged. There are some seating tables are available inside, that is clean and organized anyway. They have free parking behind the restaurant, but it is quite narrow and limited especially day time.“

We requested a few items that were not on the menu, and they accommodated them without any hesitation. Another thing we really appreciated was their willingness to cater for a small gathering of about 10 people, especially since many other caterers we approached would not accept orders for fewer than 25 people. The bread was nice and thick to hold the tasty and well-cooked paneer /chicken along with salad-like filler material. Great portion size, reasonably priced, and the order was ready on time. Samosas were also very good! Cakes were awesome as well - both black forest and butterscotch. True to their name!“
