“What a neighborhood gem! For a quick bite with an excellent 1970s diner vibe, come here! Do not expect fancy. But do expect authentic classic breakfast with fast service and lots of locals. Cash only, but very affordable especially for DC. The pancakes are delicious and huge! Tip well they deserve it!“

“In our household we care for very young and old. So food preparation and cleanliness are extremely important. Where we eat and what we bring home are something we are consciously concerned about. We have gone to this location twice now, and both experiences were so special I felt compelled to write something. First off, Kevin, a rather tall host is a special person. Even with a busy crowd, he took the time to go the extra mile, ensuring we had the extra energy to preparing our seating to accommodate our needs. He did it with such delight, it's rare to see someone help with their heart and not just because they have too. Due to a few special needs, food preparation is key. Cheers to the chefs, some folks we did not meet, but big thanks to Charles, our waiter. He ensured everything was correct, THE FIRST TIME! We do not get to eat out that often, for a variety of reasons, but this location made us feel special and welcoming and most important, gave us that sense we could trust them to care for us. Again, big props to management for hiring people like Kevin and Charles, and creating an atmosphere that you want to return too, even if you have a family with many different types of needs.“

“I had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and a half smoke with cheese. The half smoke was ok but far from the best. I probably wouldn’t buy it again. The bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was good. Plenty of bacon. Parking isn’t the best but it’s manageable. You’ll find a spot in the street somewhere. They’re not wheelchair accessible.“

“Came here for Breakfast, was greeted and seated very kindly. The place is clean and the staff has a welcoming attitude and everyone else in the store was getting along. I ordered the breakfast sampler and a glass of milk total rounded - $19.00. The food was delicious, served hot and quickly. Only thing was the bacon was a little bit stiff but overall in all with the milk 9.5/10. I feel like most all the service outshined more than food. I really liked how they made conversation with the customers and made them feel good. (They physically said they felt welcomed). I will definitely be coming back to try more at this IHOP!“

“This place is a local staple for many city workers as it is in close proximity to large government facilities. They do have limited hours so plan to visit early. The food is pretty decent and prices are very fair. The owners are quite hospitable and provide an overall great experience.“

“Casual take out restaurant that serves more than breakfast. There’s no seating here so you need to take your food to go. Chicken wings were decent - they tasted more like home fried chicken than commercial fast food chicken. The Mac n Cheese looked great and cheesy but it tasted just ok. The potato wedges in the warming window looked amazing - wish I had gotten these instead of the Mac. Will come back to try breakfast items next time.“

“On 12 Dec, I visited the IHOP O'Donnell drive in forestville Maryland, this was the first time that I have experienced such poor service. I placed my order with the waitress Joybeth: a brown crispy waffle with the butter melted on the side, a Salisbury steak with onions and mushrooms in gravy and a cup of featured cocoa. I asked that my food and drink be bored out all at the same time. That did not happen... I first received a waffle that was not full and wasn't completed with butter cold on top, then I had to wait another 10 minutes for the Salisbury steak. So by the time my food came the waffle was cold I sent it back. When I finally got all my food I still had not received my beverage. I watched this young lady go to other tables... one guy asked for butter and he got it just like that. Another one asked for napkins, they got the napkins just like that, so I'm still waiting on my cocoa to go with my food. By the time I started eating the steak was cold. I left a dollar tip. Worst service I ever had in my years going to IHOP“

“MaShaaAllah! Went to the New Carrollton IHOP to reward my granddaughters for doing so well in school and all that they are accomplishing this school year. Our server was Marcus and he was awesome! Very attentive and on top of his job. My granddaughter even complimented him about his eyes. Really enjoyed our visit today. My husband ordered tea, Marcus even asked him if he wanted black or green tea, no previous server ever did that, we were very impressed with him. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾“

IHOP food though? I'll pass. The three stars is for their improvement.“

“The best neighborhood go to store for the best prices on breakfast and lunch. I always get the corn beef hash platter that comes with eggs, grits or potatoes and white or wheat toast and you can tell them if you want jelly and butter as well. Oh and you cannot go wrong with the strawberry banana smoothie or pancakes.“
