“We stopped at Jack’s Place in Old Town for breakfast and absolutely loved it! The breakfast was great, the service was friendly, and then they really won me over. I asked if they could make me a spicy chicken sub to take with me for later—and OMG. Best sub ever. Seriously. It was spicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.

I love a place that does the classics well but is also willing to make you something a little different. Great breakfast, awesome people, and apparently they make a killer spicy chicken sub too. 😂

“My waitress Ms. Zafirah was great! She was friendly, courteous and helpful. My good however was a problem. I’m 37 weeks prego. I ordered the trifecta with a pancake. Had to send it back 3 times in order to get hot food. Was not happy about the kitchen service but my waitress was nice.“

“This is one of my favorite breakfast places in Washington DC. They only take cash and they don’t have ATM inside other than that. It’s been in business since 1963. The staff is great. The prices are reasonable and the food is wonderful.“

They have a wide range of options, from their popular chicken shawarma wrap to chickpea or salmon salads, and fresh pressed juices. What stood out to me was the fantastic service. The owner made great suggestions based on my dietary restrictions. It’s a great place to unwind, and a welcome spot im the neighborhood.“

I often get nervous allowed my daughter to use public restrooms, but this one was very clean and Kia stood at the door while I went in to assit my daughter to clean herself and get dress. “We got bagel sandwiches. The service was quick, and they took about 5 minutes to make. They were super messy, but good. There is some seating upstairs and more downstairs but there’s only tables downstairs. Not even napkins which was annoying. The bagel was poorly cut which resulted in half of the bottom bagel being about an inch wide and 1/4 inch thick.“

“Meaza was absolutely terrific! She made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. Her warmth, friendliness, and attentiveness made our entire dining experience exceptional.

She is truly one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. She anticipated our needs, checked on us at just the right times, and made us feel like valued guests throughout the meal.

Outstanding customer service like hers is rare. She is a tremendous asset to your restaurant and someone who should absolutely be training other staff members.

“I got the Hidden Cove for breakfast and it was so good! The staff were all so nice and worked very fast. I placed my order online and it was done 5 minutes later even though the website said 15 minutes. I also got a matcha with almond milk and honey but it tasted somewhat peanut buttery for some reason so I wouldn’t recommend getting almond milk, but the matcha was still good enough. $22 for a bagel and coffee is a lot in my opinion, but I would get the bagel again“

“I’ve been to Grass Fed Griddle twice now, and honestly it feels like a hidden gem. I’m always looking for a good quick breakfast sandwich, and this spot really delivers. The sandwich was really good and I especially loved the peppers.

My only complaint is the add on pricing. Mushrooms cost 3 dollars while tomatoes are 1.50, and I don’t understand why they cannot be priced the same since I love mushrooms.

I also like that they offer pure pressed juices, which is a nice bonus. Overall I enjoy coming here and will be back.

The first thing we noticed as we got closer to the entrance was that all of the windows in this property had steel bars covering them. I instantly thought, "We will be completely protected inside if there is a riot between the police and gangs outside." I discovered that you need to be buzzed in by the owner to enter the restaurant as I was reaching to open the entrance.“
