“We got lunch here for the first time today. Wish we had tried Gilroy's Cafe sooner! I got a garden salad with grilled chicken and the boss got an italian cold cut. The food was excellent, as was the service! Brien is so personable and friendly. The location is also easy to get to with ample parking. When I pulled into the parking spot, I noticed a small vegetable garden right next to the entrance of the cafe, with beautiful ripe tomatoes on the vines. Sure enough the salad and the sub both had fresh tomatoes from that garden, and they were superb!

If I had one suggestion, it would be to get the website and Facebook pages up and running. I noticed some great specials on the chalkboard behind the counter. It would be great to be able to see the daily specials online before calling in our order!

Funny enough, the burger, which was the item I was least excited about based on how it looked, ended up being my favorite. It was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The pizza was a little overdone, but I actually like my pizza that way, so no complaints there. The bowl was good too, though I felt like it was missing a little something. Maybe some extra lime or cilantro would have given it more of that fresh Mexican flavor.

I’d definitely come back and try some of the other restaurants they have. I also really liked the atmosphere. It was quiet, clean, and didn’t feel chaotic, which was nice. The kitchen area looked especially clean, which always leaves a good impression.

“We pulled up 3 minutes after the establishment closed, but we saw the open light on from the road. The gentleman who opened the door to tell us kindly they were closed. As we walked away he opened the door and said to us come in and we will take care of you. We were returning off of a long commute from VA and everything was pretty much closed to grab a bite to eat. I had such a great experience at Jimmy John’s thanks to Jennifer! I’m pregnant, and my baby and I were CRAVING a cold-cut sandwich, so I had to give Jimmy John’s a try.

My sandwich tasted like it was made with love and care! I mentioned that I was pregnant, and Jennifer was so thoughtful, even suggesting alternatives that might be easier on my digestion during pregnancy. I also told her how much I love onions, and she made sure to add plenty of extra onions just how I like them!

I went in and got the footlong Doritos and the bacon, egg, and cheese wrap for about $13. I was able to use the food for two meals.
