“Found this place by accident. My favorite cheesesteak place abruptly closed, but glad I found this place. My cheesesteak was delicious. Roll is big and fresh, meat tender, well-seasoned and generous, and provolone cheese was also generous. I usually need to ask for extra cheese, but not here. Extra would have been too much of a good thing. Trust me. If you like good cheesesteaks, give it a try.“

“Ate this stuff religiously when I went to school in Pittsburgh and it was one of the biggest things I missed once I moved back to Maryland, only to find out that they had built a location here. Definitely as good as their Pittsburgh location, and a great Halal spot.“

“During my weekend stay in Washington DC I was able to visit the New York Grill twice.

Both times the food was IMMACULATE! I highly recommend the Lamb Gyro, and the fries were very good too!

Even with roughly a 20 Minute walk back to my hotel, the food comes out hot, and well wrapped, allowing the heat to stay within and keep your food warm for quite a while!

Overall, this was my favorite place we ate over the course of 3 days, out of about a dozen spots.

I DEFINITELY Recommend the New York Grill! Please patronize this great establishment, hell go 3 times a day if your budget allows!

“Approaching the place, it is super bright, which helps finding it as the restaurant is set back from the buildings around it. This also gave us a sense of safety walking in.
There was someone at the counter ready to assist us, but being our first time in, we opted for a kiosk, off to the right side, with a big and equally bright screen, displaying images of every dish. This was very helpful and made the ordering easy and quick, even for us newbies to the place.
We opted to take out. Already, in the car, the aroma of delicious food filled the air. Once at our place, we started opening the containers and wrappers, even the packaging was excellent, inside the plastic bag, a heavy-duty paper back, stapled to containers to prevent shifting and spilling during transport.
The food was utterly delicious, from simple salad, tzatziki sauce (some of the best I have tried anywhere), chickpeas, seasoned fries, shawarmas and kabob.
It would be 2 thumbs up but both my hands were busy.“

“I went here with my friend and he gave me a free Pepsi! Really nice and friendly atmosphere from the other people waiting there too. “Good grief. These were without a question the best tacos I’ve ever had in my entire life. My only regret is I only ordered 2 just to try them. started eating on my way home. I wish I ordered 5 more. “Loved eating here. The restaurant smelled faintly of incense, which was a welcome ambiance. Tables are layed out well so it doesn't feel cramped. The space is nice and bright with beautiful decor. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Service was fast and the food was absolutely delicious! Loved every single thing I ordered:

Sheer chai — this tea had a nice balance of milk and sugar

Mantoo classic — these beef dumplings were full of flavor and served at the right temperature, hot but not too much to burn your mouth

Lamb shank — the sauce was packed with flavor and the meat fell off the bones. It came with rice that was a lovely buttery complement to the lamb

Sheer berenj — had this for dessert and it was very refreshing. It's not milky and the pistachios on top added a nice nutty flavor to the rice pudding

Green tea with cardamom — nice way to end dinner“

“Granted I haven't been to their restaurant locations, their pop-up location that features their food truck in Forestville Plaza is where my mom was blessed to bring some of their food home for the family to try. Quick story, one weekend I was driving by with her in my vehicle and suddenly we smelled a delicious aroma as well as saw smoke coming from the grill. She noted the place in her mind this weekend she was able to venture there. She relayed that they had a good amount of customers ordering food but the personnel was so patient, kind, and helpful. She brought home some grilled chicken, lamb, jollof rice, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. Majority of the meat and jollof rice was in one container, but altogether enough to feed a family of three people with huge appetites. Everything was delicious, but my favorite was their grilled chicken! It paired nicely with their mustard sauces, especially the hot mustard sauce! They also have The most unique and delicious joloff rice I've ever tasted in my life! The taste of Senegal cannot be compared! I've tried other West African food, but Senegalese food stands out like no other! Originally, Ivorian food was my favorite, but now I can add Senegalese food to my new list of favorite West African food! You have to try it - you won't regret it!
