“A great place to eat healthy meals where sodium and sugar levels are brought to bear. The vegetables served here are freshly cooked. The taste of every dish here is always great and inviting. The service is also beautiful; the is young and very patient and respectful. Anyone who cares about healthy diet could make this place their dining place. I love ❤️ the food here.“
“It's a bit of a shame that they had such a high demand during opening day but weren't able to execute. It appears that the quality of dumplings may have gone downhill. Not many other dishes shine as well as the dumplings so some work needs to be done.“
“Upon visiting this restaurant yesterday with my husband, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the dedicated team and manager. The staff exhibited professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine passion for ensuring a delightful dining experience. The manager's leadership was evident in the seamless coordination of operations and the overall positive atmosphere of the establishment. The manager's impressive attention and apathy towards a worrisome food texture issue that is developing in me allowed me freedom to share openly this struggle in addition to switching my ordered dish for a different dish at no cost - now that is impeccable customer service. The culinary offerings were exquisite, reflecting the team's commitment to quality and innovation.I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding service, delectable cuisine, and top-notch management.Thank for a Great afternoon!“
“Easily the best hotpot experience we've had in the area. They give large fresh portions of meat, the buffet has a large variety of meats, and veggies. The soup was perfect. My wife and I decided that whenever we want hotpot this is the place we're going from now on.“
“Have been going there for years, family agrees out of all the local Asian Cuisine one feels the most authentic!Every time all the time the same dishes for us but that's and we aren't brave enough to try something different because they just always do the dishes we like to justice.Pickled cabbage, Beef Casselrole, Fried Squid, Chowfun, and a few others! You also don't find many places owing up to their mistakes and apologizing to the customer. Today they made the wrong order and per courtesy gave it without charge and gave our actual order!“
“Beautiful austere interior but with plenty of warm bright lighting. So so so happy there were carts! Carts filled with some of the BEST dim sum I have ever had. I have been to multiple dim sum restaurants in multiple cities on both coasts — this place knows what they’re doing. The pork buns were so tasty and fluffy. All the classics here and very well prepared.“
“Great service. Place is big and clean, with lovely decor. Food was excellent, my only complaint is that it just wasn't spicy enough. It barely got to "tingly" when I was hoping for mind numbing spice. That aside though, the food is still good and would most certainly return, although next time I'll ask for a little extra“
“So I will start off by saying I had a very lovely, helpful service. But I do have mixed reviews about how I feel about this place.Things I liked:1) They had so many gluten-free broths. The mushroom broth was flavorful and fantastic. You did not need to add any sauces2) The staff was well educated and helpful through the whole process3) The food that was thawed was fantastic and tastyThings I was unsure about1) the set up was a little odd. The meat and seafood come proportioned. I liked this due to ease of grabbing, but some had too much, and I felt like I was wasting it. The trays were also too big for the portion of food that was in it, so it was awkward to carry back.2) Some of the seafood was frozen on the shelves. This should not have happened and was off putting3) The spoons to catch all your soup you need to grab yourself. I didn't see it at first, and it made it slightly challenging to eat.4) I asked the waitress if the oysters were safe to eat raw, and she said she did not know. I really do appreciate the honesty, but I thought it was odd to have oysters that can't be consumed raw when in the shell.Things I did not like:1) I went for lunch on Saturday. Yes, the food was good overall. The service was good, but most places do a lunch special, and they do not. For $31.99 a meal, I felt like this was kind of high for the selection that they had.2) I went for lunch, it was not crowded in the resturant (yes I know this sounds good) but I can't image how overcrowded their small food grabbing area must get when a lot of people are in the resturant.3) The parking lot was a little odd, and then getting into the restaurant, you went through what looked like a mall food court. It was different.Overall, I did have a good experience. Would I go back again, probably not due to cost and how the layout was. Do I think I got my moneys worth? Debatable.Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options.“
“Food is absolutely amazing! The staff was extremely nice and efficient. Our friends took us here for happy hour sushi and we came back three days later because we couldn’t get enough. Also the prices are very affordable for high quality sushi. 11/10.“
“This was my second Hot Pot Hero location I visited, the other was in Gaithersburg MD. The other one seemed to have more options to add to the all you can eat menu, and the other one the service was a bit more attentive when placing an order for refills, but this was still a stellar experience and I would do it once a week if I lived in the area.“
“We frequent this place as it’s the closest to our neighborhood. The service is very friendly always. The food is good quality and made with good quality ingredients. The inside of the restaurant is a bit too cold, but that’s my only gripe. If you carry out your food, my only piece of advice is to get it right away. Don’t let it sit too long or it won’t be as tasty :)“
“Well as Chinese restaurants go, it's pretty standard. It's a small space so seating really isn't an option and after the lockdowns, I guess they realize their niche is delivery and/or pick-up service. First, i'm sure this isn't a big deal but they have a $10 minimum requirement for using a card. Because I wasn't overly hungry, I had to over order to get what I wanted. I ordered an egg roll, port wontons, and a large box of rice. I know, it's a weird order but I wasn't overly hungry but wow, the food was good! Egg rolls can be hit or miss depending on how the restaurant works but these were flavorful, filled with lots of cabbage and pork (I think) crispy on the outside and hot on the inside. Their egg rolls are reminiscent of a restaurant I frequented in Sioux Falls, SD. I was impressed. The fried wontons were a little different. I was surprised at the amount of pork that was in them but on the flip side, while they were crispy, I got the feeling they were made with several layers of wrappers which made it hard to break into and eat. Still, it was tasty and they all got eaten! White rice is something I can eat alone or with something. It was pretty standard but it was good. Other than the card minimum, I'd recommend this place to those living or staying in the area.“
“I am writing this review in the middle of enjoying my fish soup!! It's soo soo good I am happily surprised! I have never been here before, helped it, and Voila! I usually don't post unless severely compelled to do so! Please check this place out for some hearty, flavorful, loaded, soup with all the fixings, true to culture! Quick, friendly service!! You will be happy, full, warm inside, and not broke after because it's not too expensive! It's worth every penny! Two thumbs up! Bon appetite!“
“Wow a authentic pull noodle place that is local to here and not have to drive to Rockville or Virginia. This small cozy place serves great fresh handmade noodles which you can customize noodle sizes to your preference. The noodles have a nice springy and chewyness to them. I got the regular sized noodles and they were fantastic. Went really well in the beef broth. The tea egg was really good as well.If you are a fan of Asian noodles then I would give this place a try.I noticed they have cold noodles as well. I think I will try that next time in the summer.“
“I went to Hunan Legend and ordered the Egg Drop soup, vegetarian egg rolls and Singapore Noodles on a Sunday afternoon. You can dine in but I wanted to order carry out. The staff was friendly, kind and attentive. My food was fresh with plentiful portions and it was absolutely delicious!!!!! It was my first time at Hunan Legend. I will return again. Loved it!!! It is now my new go to Chinese restaurant. ❤️❤️“
“This is your standard Chinese takeout place, couple of chairs to wait for your food, or sit in your car outside. You won't be disappointed. The menu will be familiar for Chinese takeout places. The service is a cut above. The food is much, much better than you'd expect.Chicken fried rice? Very good! Chicken with cashews? Lots of veggies and ample cashews in a tasty, slightly sweet sauce with pork fried rice.Vegetarian egg roll was full of well-seasoned cabbage. The egg drop soup is nothing special but also is exactly what you expect.I'm a big guy but the lunch special cashew chicken with pork fried rice and a veggie egg roll, with a small egg drop soup, was my lunch and dinner, both! Plenty of tasty, filling food!I'll go back again and again just to explore the menu.“
“4.5/5. Nothing too fancy, just good take-out Chinese. I had the chicken broccoli and chicken lo mien with an order of spring rolls (2). Best I've had in the area so far. They cooked the chicken and broccoli to my expectations. The spring rolls were crisp and packed full of veggies. I enjoyed the lo mien. After trying a few places in the Laurel-Severn area which were disappointing... I will definitely be back to try more dishes in the future.“
“i come here every saturday and oh my gosh it hits the spot. big portions for the price! the staff are really friendly and welcoming, the place is always clean, and it's always fun to watch them interact with the regulars by name. probably the best chinese food i've ever had by a mile. my favorite go tos here are sweet and sour soup and the tomato pepper rice. ^__^Vegetarian options: the bean curd meals are amazing :D good veggie options“
“I had a great time for lunch the other day! The food was fresh and delicious- They had a huge selection- noodles, sushi! The staff was attentive and we got water right when we sat down. The restaurant was painted dark but had a lot of light coming in! It was a relaxed vibe for sure“
“This place is the ONLY place that I will get Chinese from! The food is always hot and so flavorful. My kids and I love this place and get it often. From the phone call to ordering to pick up is super easy and smooth. 10/10 would continue to go here!“
“Katana Sushi of Elkridge was amazing. The sushi was super fresh and very tasty. I’ve tried the other sushi restaurants in the area and around Columbia and I like Katana more, they really impressed me. I also really liked their customer service and how pleasant they were. Highly recommend them. All the rolls were delicious!“
“We order one time a year from Happy Garden on Christmas Eve as a family tradition. The delivery is fast, the food is delicious, the pricing has increased over the years but we only support there business one time a year so no big deal. Lo mein, fried rice, egg rolls, and beef and broccoli are always excellent! We will continue the annual tradition.“
“Since the 'pandemic' the Dine-In is no longer an option. However they do such a good job & are so well liked the joint is jumping. Regardless of your liking Sushi, Thai, Chinese or Japanese dishes all of them are done well, w/o breaking the bank. . . you just got to go home and eat cuz their dining-room is closed.“
“This is our go-to place for Chinese takeout and it's always good. Tonight, though, it was GREAT. We ordered our favorites and they were all somehow even better than usual. Fish in black bean sauce, shumai, spring rolls, triple delight in hot garlic sauce, pork fried rice, moo shu pork - all delicious. Also, I needed some info on how to order gluten free a few weeks ago, and the restaurant responded to my inquiry quickly and with more care than I expected, chatting with me at some length about different dishes and how to order each. Wonderful service.“
“Delicious Chinese food and decent sized portions. We order the usual stuff like shrimp egg foo young, egg rolls, egg drop soup, general tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, beef with broccoli and fried rice. All of it is good, so we order from Asian Express regularly.Parking: It's in a sometimes crowded strip mall with other restaurants.“
“First-time customer- I got steamed pork dumplings and hot crispy chicken. The dumplings and sauce were so delicious that I ate all of them before eating my entree (which was good also!) The fortune cookie was still warm-- they must make it themselves! Comparing to other Chinese restaurants, the prices were great.“
“The food was really fresh and delicious. The ambiance was lovely. They were very friendly and welcoming too! I wish I could give them 6 stars. Exceptional service for a cute little spot. Get some of the calamari, best in the area! And the prices were great.“
“The only Chinese restaurant in the DMV and Baltimore areas that understands what Gluten really is. If you have gluten sensitivity and love Americanized Chinese food, definitely worth the trip even if you have to drive up from NoVA. They're not going to be absolutely perfect for those suffering from celiac, but for a place as small as this trying so hard to accommodate those with gluten sensitivity with so many choices is worthy of as many stars as anyone could give them.Dietary restrictions: Most extensive Gluten-Free menu for any Chinese restaurant in the DMV“
“Really good Chinese wasn’t a long wait very patient on the phone when we called in the order. I ordered about $130 worth of food so that was a plus. We asked for certain things to made specifically and everything came as ordered. Very impressed would highly recommend.“
“I have been going to this restaurant for many years (10+) the food is delicious and reasonably priced. My favorites are the fried chicken wings, curry shrimp, shrimp egg foo young, crab rangoons, basically everything is good, especially the sugar donuts and half and half tea. The young lady taking the orders is always pleasant and accurate. Bamboo is the go to spot.“
“I was craving Chinese food and Google led me to this place. Love the way the place looks. very cozy and have friendly staff. The food not only looks good but it was very tasty and not to mention the price is very affordable. I just wished they gave more of a potion on the rice.“
“They are a restaurant first and foremost. Absolutely great food. So great in fact that they are always receiving a lot of business, so beware that it may take some time to get your food during busy times. The staff focuses on their job and definitely gets it done. Because it's takeout their store is limited in its atmosphere, but they definitely try to keep it up.“
“Super service for our party of 33 + 20.Very attentive. Good was delicious and delivered quickly. (We ordered ahead.)Thanks to Z the hospitality manager. He remembers names so well. The following servers did an outstanding job with our crowd. Andrew, Rachel, Melanie, and Kamron. We’ll be back.Vegetarian options: We lived the eggplant. Tofu, green beans, rice.“
“My wife loves the beef chow foon. The noodles are always smooth, soft, and savory and the beef used is so tender that it practically melts in your mouth. We highly recommend trying them! Just be sure to eat them fresh as that's when they taste the best!“
“Food food is always fresh tasty succulent no matter what time they are busy but it's worth it going to pick up delivery can be a little busy 95 to 45 minutes at least anytime I've called but I will always order Chinese from this place if I am local to the location no matter what is food speaks for itselfVegetarian options: Not sure the exac mea vegetable fried ricelow/ chow meinParking: In a crowded parking lot next to Giant of busy location the latest Pizza which is really busy a Subway and a liquor store so there's a lot of popular businesses in that area and there's also a lot of like that trailer driver spots“
“Order hot tea and Happy Family dish. The tea was flavorful. My dish was a great portion, meat was tender and I loved the seasoning flavors. I really enjoyed my meal. Very pleasant waitress.Parking: Can fill up at certain times of the weekdays and weekends.Wheelchair accessibility: Available ramp to second level.“
“Ordered lunch today and it was delicious! Perfectly seasoned and large portions. We ordered takeout, shortly after my husband picked up we received a call letting us know something was missing and they’d deliver it right away. They didn’t have to do that, but went out of their way to make sure we were happy customers and we absolutely are!“
“This place is really good! Very consistent. I guess you could say American style - not fancy fusion or attempting to be region authentic. We've always been happy with the portions, quick delivery time, and especially the flavor. Locally owned and a stand-out amongst bland competitors.“
“I've ordered several times and the food is always consistently good. I always get the vegetable dishes. The fried rice is a little bland but always mixes well with the main dishes so I don't mind too much. Portions are fantastic and always leave plenty for multiple meals.“
“I’ve been eating at this restaurant for about a year I normally just order via DoorDash or GrubHub but I’ve been in twice to pick up a order I will say the neighborhood leaves a little bit to be desired. I’ve never had any issues nor have I ever gotten sick from here. When I placed my phone order the lady who took my order was very pleasant and she was nice when I came in. From what I could see the place was clean, they had a mask as well as gloves which made me feel very comfortable. I will continue to order and eat from here this is my go to!“
“I've been ordering from here since 2002 and hands down, it is THE BEST Chinese food in MD!! And that's saying something because I am very picky about food. The owners have been the same for all these years. I drive 20 minutes each way just to pick up dinner. The food is always fresh and piping hot! From their egg rolls and BBQ Spare Ribs, the Subgum Wanton Soup (Wantons, Pork, Chicken and Shrimp with a variety of vegetables in yummy chicken broth...fantastic on chilly nights), to my favorite sweet and savory Beef with Garlic Sauce, Sweet & Sour dishes, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and very flavorful Fried Rice (several varieties) or ANY entree for that matter, everything is always SO delicious and they are very generous with their portions! Prices are competitive and reasonable. I love this place and hope they will be around for years to come! ?❤“
“Quick and fast was at work , shrimp fried rice was a amazing , also purchased thee Pork Yat Gaw Mein did not enjoy that as much due to the noodles they was like Udon noodles moreso like spaghetti noodles ? so I will NOT be purchasing that particular dish again but great service “
“12/6/2023: Very happy will overall experience. Easy telephone ordering and quick prep. Ordered Chicken with Cashews, Chicken Lo Mein and General Tso's Chicken dinner combo. Each was fresh and generously portioned. Leftovers have kept us smiling for two days. Can't wait to order again!“
“Ordered shrimp with broccoli for dinner, and asked for the broccoli to be extra extra soft, with no crunch at all, and boy did they deliver! Every other Chinese restaurant that I have ordered from, and made this same request, NO ONE has cooked it the way I requested, but China Kitchen cooked it PERFECT! Also got an order of the crab meat wontons, and they were STUFFED with the cream cheese filling. Will definitely be ordering from here again!“
“First time I have ordered here and I was delighted ...food was delivered to my house within 25 min, it arrived hot and delicious. I tried the Subgum wonton dish which was chocked full of Chinese vegetables, pork, chicken, beef and shrimp in a mild tasty red sauce...very good. The second order was for Sesame chicken, this was by far the best version of this dish I have ever tasted! Usually with Chinese carryouts the rice comes in small containers, not this place, the portion of rice is huge for each dish you order. Finally, the chicken fried rice was yummy, with tiny diced vegetables and plenty if chicken. If the rest of the food is as good as my first order, I'll be ordering here a lot!“
“OMG, the Most amazing Chinese Food ever... They Have Wings and egg rolls... ShrimpLo-Main, Broccoli & Beef pepper....jiaozi Dumplings were fantastic... Best Chicken fried Rice...This is my favorite Spot to go too... I know they Have a New Owner But she is a Chef and She is turning It all around... It's a dynamical Establishment that caters to Big Families...So Yes they Get Busy... Enjoy yourself and Your Welcome....Vegetarian options: They have options“
“We ordered delivery from here tonight, 15 minutes before close, the food was hot and got here fast. I judge every place by the Singapore Mei Fun, The container was packed full, they weren't stingy with the shrimp at all. We also ordered shrimp rolls and they were amazing too. We just found our new favorite Chinese place. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was because there was no fortune cookies in the bag.“
“I luv this place for carryout lunch. I usually get the tofu and mixed vegetables (2 orders), and it's always fresh and delicious. You can look from the counter you order from back in the kitchen and always see tons of fresh produce being prepared. The staff has always been friendly, and the quantity and quality is quite good for the price.Prices took a jump of about $1 on a previous $8 order , but that's typical inflation I guess. otherwise food is quite reasonable.“
“The carryout is always clean & neat. The food is always delicious- at least all the dishes I've ordered before. Some say it's as if a DC carryout moved into MD. I've been ordering there awhile since I work in the area. ???“
“Good Chinese fast food. This location is one of the few in the area that is not in a mall food courtVegetarian options: Meatless options in the menu including the Chow MeinDietary restrictions: Options available without MSGParking: Shopping center parking lotKid-friendliness: Good for kids that like Chinese foodWheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible“
