“First time at this specific location and when I say the food WAS BOMB!!! I will only come to this location for now on! I got the fish platter with a half and half and everything was delicious. Our food was so good, the customers behind us asked what was that delicious smell (the fried whitening) and they ended up ordering the same thing!

The food was exactly what I was hoping for, just simple and well-made comfort dishes that came out hot and delicious. “Thank you for opening an outpost 10 minutes from my house. Service is always great and love the food. Today I had the Bacado Omelet which was great. Also took an order of the Lemon Blueberry Cornbread to go. It’s something for the table to share - or if you’re solo to eat over 3 or 4 days.

I frequently get the Traditional. Friends love the Lemon Ricotta pancakes.

“The staff at the Laurel First Watch are so wonderful. The hostess with glasses is always very friendly and upbeat, I once saw her doing sick yo-yo tricks for a child to make them smile. It made us smile too. One of the waitresses always recognizes us and gives us a warm welcome. Every staff member we have interacted with has been so friendly, and our order always comes out perfect & in a timely manner.

P.S. I also REALLY appreciate the coffee for people on the waitlist!! It dramatically increases my patience to wait for a table LOL.“

The first thing we noticed as we got closer to the entrance was that all of the windows in this property had steel bars covering them. I instantly thought, "We will be completely protected inside if there is a riot between the police and gangs outside." I discovered that you need to be buzzed in by the owner to enter the restaurant as I was reaching to open the entrance.“

Plenty of bacon. Parking isn’t the best but it’s manageable. You’ll find a spot in the street somewhere. They’re not wheelchair accessible.“

What really makes it special though is the people. The staff is so friendly and welcoming—they actually take the time to get to know you. Come in a couple times and they’ll remember your order and how you like it. That kind of service is rare these days.

“It's one of the few places that you can still buy a turkey burger and the home fries are pretty good when you order breakfast. The only problem in the area is the expansion of bike Lanes which has depleted parking that has been available for years. And it's standing room only no seating but they serve you pretty fast considering how busy they are.“

“On 12 Dec, I visited the IHOP O'Donnell drive in forestville Maryland, this was the first time that I have experienced such poor service. I placed my order with the waitress Joybeth: a brown crispy waffle with the butter melted on the side, a Salisbury steak with onions and mushrooms in gravy and a cup of featured cocoa. I asked that my food and drink be bored out all at the same time. That did not happen... I first received a waffle that was not full and wasn't completed with butter cold on top, then I had to wait another 10 minutes for the Salisbury steak. So by the time my food came the waffle was cold I sent it back. When I finally got all my food I still had not received my beverage. I watched this young lady go to other tables... one guy asked for butter and he got it just like that. Another one asked for napkins, they got the napkins just like that, so I'm still waiting on my cocoa to go with my food. By the time I started eating the steak was cold. I left a dollar tip. Worst service I ever had in my years going to IHOP“
