“Went on a Sunday for brunch. The food was delicious! I tried two different types of deviled eggs. The mimosas were perfect! The staff and chef were very friendly. Besides my friend and I there were only 2 other customers. Not sure if it was just a slow Sunday but hopefully the business picks up, definitely will go back“

“Part of a food court so can't say there's atmosphere, really. Things are made fresh, which is great, but it means you need to wait a bit. I like that they use the traditional bamboo steamers and serve them to you that way. Large portions in one order. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Vegan options.“

“Cozy restaurant with big personality. Our server was happy to be there and answer any questions asked. We got the steamed dumplings and crab Rangoon. By far the best crab Rangoon we’ve enjoyed to date. Will be back to try the drunken noodles!“

“What a great place ! I’m Swiss and very critical when it comes to “ Swiss restaurants “ in other countries. The best Kalbs Bratwurst und Rösti. The Vermicelli tasted just like at home. Great hospitality. And fair prices. THANK YOU FOR A HOME EXPERIENCE AWAY FROM HOME“

“Some friends rented out the bistro for their wedding party and it was the perfect space. The party was so intimate and perfect for the celebration. The food and drinks were fantastic, I’m still dreaming about the sliders that were served. I can’t wait to come back to town and try the restaurant on a regular night. The owner was fantastic as well. Highly recommend Cynthia’s!!“

“There’s something quietly electric about Pascual, the kind of restaurant that makes you whisper to your dining neighbor, “You must try this… Don’t miss that…” Nestled in D.C.’s Capital Hill, the casual yet contemporary Mexican spot from chefs Isabel Coss and Matt Conroy has doubled its space since opening just a year and a half ago. With the addition of a new outdoor patio, the energy now spills beyond its 30-seat dining space making more room for mezcal-fueled conversation and corn-scented dishes.
Chef Isabel herself is a ray of light. Her warmth is as memorable as the food, and on our visit, staff Emely and Jeremiah kept that energy flowing with the kind of attentiveness that makes you feel like a regular. The menu, which changes weekly, revolves around whichever heirloom corn varieties the kitchen has sourced that week. During our visit, it was Amarillo Bolita from Oaxaca and Azul Cónico from Estado de México.
We kicked things off with Guacamole and Tostadas, then went wild and ordered all the sauces: macha, verde, borracha, habanero, smoked papaya, and shishito escabeche. Each one offered a different kind of fire or funk, transforming the rest of our meal into a choose-your-own-flavor adventure.
The Kampachi Crudo was a stunner bathed in a husk cherry leche de tigre and touched with turmeric, it set a playful yet precise tone. The Bangs Island Mussels Tostada followed, topped with avocado, salsa negra, and epazote aioli that looked more like art than appetizer.
Vegetable dishes here are anything but afterthoughts. The Chayote Salad with sunflower seeds, guajillo oil, and Asian pears brought bright texture and balance, while the Infladita stuffed with squash purée, smoked goat ricotta, and uni mousse hit a deeply savory-sweet note.
The North Carolina Shrimp Tamal was tender and perfumed with huacatay. But it was the Badger Flame Beets that stopped us in our tracks, a colorful composition with hazelnut salsa macha, smoked ricotta, and opal basil. We paired that with Pork Belly Carnitas, rich and crisp with honeycrisp purée, purple shiso, and a hint of habanero.
Dessert continued the theme with a Chocolate Tamal with hoja santa ice cream and masa crumble delivered an earthy satisfaction. But the showstopper? The Nixtamalized Pear with pistachio ice cream, toasted meringue, and key lime—a refreshing reminder that a fruit as a dessert can surprise you.
The bar is just as thoughtful as its kitchen, spotlighting a tight but stellar list of agave spirits that leans into small producers and Mexican terroir. The cocktails riff on familiar classics with twists—think a Huacatay Old Fashioned with plum sake, a Fallin’ Empire with both Mexican Fernet and corn whiskey, and xila amaro, banana and lime. Inventive sips that carry the same earthy, layered flavors found on the plate.
Pascual transported us to Mexico City. The rhythm, the energy, the ever-evolving expression of corn and fire. In a city full of restaurants, this one feels like it’s simply chasing flavor, and that’s exactly what makes it shine.“

“This place is intoxicating!! The decor is very Gatsbyesque! Totally cool private gin club speakeasy vibe. Went here for after dinner drinks with my girlfriends and it really hit the mark! The cocktails were gorgeous and delicious! I recommend the Gimlet. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. It was a perfect ending to our girls trip and I can't wait to bring my husband for date night!!! Highly recommend!“

“The Haymaker is a great cocktail bar and has some of the best and hardest working bartenders in DC. When we arrived, the bar counter seats were almost full. Three cocktails in and the whole place was packed with 90/95% having cocktails, our refills still came quickly. Why only 4 star? They have changed the food menu and not for the better. The dumplings are still great. We also had the quesadilla. My wife liked it, I thought it was generic. We both thought the loaded tots were a major fail, the 'load', what little there was of it, had all fallen off and was in the bottom of the bowl. The draft beer choice is also weak, with Goose Island being their premium beer. I hope they change up their menu for the better.“

“Jab We Met Indian Kitchen was an awesome surprise — the food was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with bold spices and great balance.
We stopped in during happy hour and loved the cocktails — creative, well-made, and a great value. The service was warm and attentive without being rushed, and the atmosphere felt relaxed enough to enjoy a long meal.
Whether you’re craving classic Indian dishes or just want a great spot for drinks and bites with friends, Jab We Met delivers. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Highly recommend this fun cocktail bar! We held a private event at Trouble Bird a couple of weeks ago, and it went so well! The location is perfect for a buy-out with a small group. Intimate enough while not feeling too small, and comfortable enough for everyone to sit and mingle.
Justin and Chris did an amazing job! The food was SO good, service was great, and the cocktails (including NA options!) were excellent! They took the time to work with us on the menu of drinks and food, which made our event feel special.“

“Oh yeah!
They hook up that good food!
The flavors are popping off my tongue as I enjoy the most juicy steak & cheese. This is somewhere to stop by and watch the game while you eat in their social seating area (with enough TVs and comfortable chairs).
I was just stopping by after a visit to Catholic University. My choice was better than many alternatives (McDonalds, and such). The atmosphere is “family/college”.
I’m coming back here again!“

“Habanero’s is between the College Park Metro stop and campus. We saw it, evoked memories of one in Arizona with same name. We ordered Chicken Tinga Tacos, Chicken Taco, Beef Taco along with a Beef Tounge Taco along with Guacamole & Chips. Food was good, flavors top notch, service efficient and pleasant. Only observation was the portion of Guacamole was ‘light’ for $8.00. If back in College Park would return.“
“I came to Sly Rooftop this past sunday with a large party for a last minute venue change and this was definitely the better option. The venue was more aesthetic and the waiters were very accommodating and attentive even though we had a large party. The blue cornbread was the crowd favorite and again shout out to the waiters that made things enjoyable and run smoothly for us! A special shoutout to Lilo who met us at the front when we walked in and was SUPER friendly and made sure we had everything we could possibly need during our entire time there! Will definitely be coming back!“
“Quality and taste wise amazing! The lamb could’ve been bigger portions but the chicken schnitzel was ample portions. The drinks were delicious. Would be interested in coming back for the chefs tasting menu. The bartender Mike Ross was super friendly and a delight to talk to!
Gave it a 4 because I felt the drinks could’ve been stronger for the price and the lamb portions could’ve been bigger. The shrimp appetizer was also a bit too salty.
The rooftop was a vibe for sure. Looked beautiful once the sun started setting!
Dietary restrictions: Weren’t able to modify dishes to fit dairy free but suggested dishes on their menu that were dairy free.“
“This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go! The Roost was my go to during the pandemic with tons of outdoor seating. Since it was in my neighborhood we frequented a lot. The staff watched my little one practically grow up there! It became our meeting place and neighborhood watering hole. Quick and efficient and some of the best food and customer service! We’ve moved from the area but always stop by when in town because it feels like home!“

“Great variety of drinks, reasonable prices, and plenty of space to hang out! They already had a great sound setup & disco ball so I was wishing there was a DJ & dance floor, but I also appreciated that it wasnt overly crowded.
I got the Jungle bird which I would've liked to have been a bit more bitter and with more molasses flavor but it was still enjoyable. Still, the prices and variety of options were greatly appreciated—I willl be sure to come back soon!“

“This place was a vibe. I just went this past Thursday to see Still familiar and a time was definitely had. Our waitress was amazing. When I tell you she knows how to please her people that’s an understatement. I wish I could remember her name(I’m so blown I forgot it. We was at table 17) My sister said she think it’s Bre. I promise I don’t remember, but seriously she was amazing. Please tell her that we truly appreciated her service that night. We ordered 2 orders of wings, bang bang shrimp, yams, green beans(they were better with salt and pepper added to them). The food was good. Especially those habanero wings😋😋.
The section outside was the cherry on the top. I think the guy said he calls it “The Cut”. Music playing, you can buy a cigar and just chill out back there while vibing to the music. I was just singing not smoking but it was still real chill and nice. This was my 1st time here but I will definitely be back. See yall soon❤️“
