“This is my second time ordering from Pollo Típico and I wasn’t disappointed. The first time I ordered Bistec Encebollado and today Pechuga de pollo. The food tastes really good and they serve big portions. The servers are very friendly. The atmosphere is ok, nothing fancy but the food is what I was there for anyways. I really recommend this place.“

“This was at store #040049 on Annapolis Rd in Lanham, Md. I've never had such a good drive thru experience at any establishment. The gentleman named Oluwanifemi was the epitome of excellent customer service. He should be in a restaurant somewhere racking up huge tips as opposed to a Taco Bell drive thru. “This past weekend I had the pleasure of hosting my friends at Vera for my birthday dinner. We had the private room on the main floor, everything from
start to finish was absolutely amazing. Milena was so accommodating with all my questions during planning and was so sweet the night of, the servers in the room were so professional and attentive to our group, no ones glasses ever went empty throughout the night. The details of the food presentation were extraordinary and everything was both photo worthy and delicious. A few guests (including myself) had dietary restrictions and the staff were so helpful making those aware of what they could and couldn’t eat. I can’t wait to go back to Vera and experience their brunch.

Since we were on the main floor we were able to see the behind the scenes of the venue space Culture getting set up for the evening show (which some of our group was staying for) that was a cool almost ‘VIP’ experience. The overall atmosphere for both spaces was so welcoming and me and my friends have already made plans for future shows.“

“Everything about this place was A++. Not sure how this place has not come up for me or my husband before but came here Tuesday night and we’re officially deeming this our go to spot. Everything was delicious and legitimately the best Mexican restaurant in DC and the best Margaritas in town.
1. The fajitas (chorizo, chicken, steak) had amazing flavor including the side of refried beans, steak was tender, didn’t skimp you on the veggies.
2. The chicken tamales did not disappoint - you can tell they care about their masa, and the chicken inside was juicy, not dry like many places.
3. The frozen margaritas were freshly made it isn’t just a bunch of syrup. I actually wasn’t going to get one but Oscar put my concerns at ease and pointed out it was still happy hour.
Such a relief to find a spot where you can count on food being delicious, where the vibe is chill and the people are great! Thank you Oscar, Diego, and Chris!“

“My go to takeout order is the tandoori chicken platter! If you’re a busy person & bulking on your workout journey, you can always rely on this restaurant for delicious, homemade tasting food. The tandoori platter is a generous serving, can make 2 meals out it. Not to mention the customer service is fantastic! The owner knew my order after the first time I came in & is such a kind person!“

“Dining in DC, is paying for ambiance. Pascual was a wonderful ambiance in learning the finer elements of Mexican cuisine.

NO SALSA IN CHIPS

Guacamole was tasty but it wasn't until I built the perfect bite with the braised lamb neck did I appreciate the understatement of its balance. My friend very much enjoyed her Octopus, she got crispy she'll to accompany her dish.

The bunuelo was a nice finish, but there was the option of flan w/chocolate. The flan was good but had bitters from dark chocolate that gave the taste of espresso.

I would not dine here again personally, but it makes for a really nice backdrop of a lovely dinner.

Vegetarian options: Seafood allergy, a lot of possible cross contamination, limits your choices. However the choices are still very delicious.“

“Ordered DoorDash from this place. I was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the 3 tacos. 1 chicken 1 chorizo and the other carnitas. All 3 were good. Chicken was kind of bland. The carnitas was excellent. Only downside is that the tacos stick to the paper. The chicken quesadillas was good, but again the chicken was bland. Everything was packaged well. I’ll try them again“

“We visited DC for four nights. We ate here twice because it was so good. The happy hour specials were delicious and good deals. The salsa is transcendent. Loved the mojito and the sangria. We are fans of their steak burrito w/ Chipolte sauce, their shrimp agave , their portobello enchilada, and their seafood enchilada. Their salsa and chips are always a welcome start to the meal. “We came excitedly to try some Salvadoran cuisine and arrived close to the end of lunch service, so the atmosphere was very quiet. The establishment is rather dark inside. Service was quick, and they offered a kid's high chair.

For lunch, we had the crispy beef tacos and el cuscatleco. First of all, we loved the tacos. It is flavourful and very well-balanced. However, it was a mixed bag with the el cuscatleco - the pupusa was okay, and we didn't enjoy their tamale. On a positive note, we enjoyed the fried yuca and plantains.

The ramp entrance is wheelchair and pram-friendly. There's also outdoor seating available.“

“Each time I have visited this restaurant I have no problem ordering food and usually order the Quesadilla or the Torta. The Torta Milanesa de Pollo is absolutely delicious. Unlike a lot of restaurants in the area, they give you huge portions of chicken. The bread is always toasted and the traditional toppings compliment the sandwich well. Red and green salsas come with the sandwich. It is consistently good!“

“This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go! The Roost was my go to during the pandemic with tons of outdoor seating. Since it was in my neighborhood we frequented a lot. The staff watched my little one practically grow up there! It became our meeting place and neighborhood watering hole. Quick and efficient and some of the best food and customer service! We’ve moved from the area but always stop by when in town because it feels like home!“
