“Bantam King is my go-to spot for a great meal when in downtown DC. I lived right by here for 2 years, and every time I went to Bantam King, I had a fantastic meal.I've eaten a ton of fried chicken in my life all over the US, and a decent amount across DC. I can absolutely say that their fried chicken platter is some of the best fried chicken I've ever eaten. I've also had the chicken ramen. Both my wife, who is a huge ramen lover, and I think it's fantastic.I also enjoy the mint sweet tea, and the desserts are really good as well. The atmosphere is super fun as well, great for any small group or couples.You probably won't be able to get in with a massive group (it's a small space)...but that's not what this place is really for.I've eaten here on my birthday the past 2 years, and I see that continuing in the future.“

“on our first visit they absolutely killed it it was out of this world um so i came with my brother his spouse and my parents we got in and the menu was very simple and understandable when i was up to order i got a brown sugar machita tea (i think that's what it was) a 6 wings mild combo with fries with the upcharge for tostitos nacho cheese it came with some sliced pickles and sauces on the side so inside while i am having this i am daydreaming about my hero henry miller the expat wormwood bohemian writer who i am currently reading 'the air conditioned nightmare' um i heard this place was korean owned what's funny is i saw on youtube there were korean internet cafes i saw in videos that'd have food there that looked so good to be online and get good snacks another was i knew people in the army who were going to korea and it sounded like a blast i think i heard that's where chappelle's friend donnell rawlings got stationed i didn't know he was a veteran for a while um the location is by the skatepark which can always be so charming and funny the young punks and skaters style and dialect and personalities like the brand i later learned of dirty ghetto kids dgk i like while we were there the people watching was nice too there was a muscular black guy who had what looked like greek college stuff on another was a charming police officer who picked up the wings were cooked perfectly the oils and skin and tenderness it was a great time and the owner was on point“
“Very delicious sandwich and good fries. My complaint is with the service. We ordered online and picked up the food. We paid extra .50 cents for each lettuce on each butger and got only one burger had lettuce. I also asked for Rooster sauce and honey mustard but instead received 6 honey mustard sauces. This was my first experience and I would eat here again for the food quality. Hopefully this was a one off.“
“Came here late night for some food before hitting the next spot but pleasantly surprised at the club in the back. Two birds one stone type of deal. Line moved quick, the food came just as quick and it was great. We had the chicken, plantains, yucca, the corn mix, slaw and the guac came with plantain chips. My local then was on Camden High Street and was, as the Brits would say, bloody good, and the ones I frequent across the river now in Arlington, VA, are more than OK. But this one I’m in now? “Dining at shababi was an absolute delight. I came to celebrate after I finished taking my board exams and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. To start they brought some hummus topped with shredded beef and beat spread, which the former was my favorite. They later brought the roasted chicken which had been marinated for 48 hours plus. Every bite was so flavorful. As this is a pop up I recommend you go soon and get a feel for Palestinian food“

Just a mess of a sammich....BUT SOOOO FRIKKIN GOOD!!! Their fried chicken is good, so are the mashed potatoes. I wouldn't stray away from those options, but have heard good things about the pork chops.The very best thing about this place is THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE!!! “Food: Visited on a Saturday night around 7. It wasn’t busy for me at all. I ordered a Nashville (medium spiciness) sandwich and a honey butter (mild spiciness) sandwich at the kiosk ($25). I liked the spicy kick of the Nashville sandwich that I may attempt the next spicy level. The mild honey butter sandwich is great for people who cannot handle spicy food. The rooster sauce is a free add-on on the side that was good as well. Tip: it may be a little messy so grab napkins.Tables: there are plentiful tables that were clean. The facility workers come around to tidy up the area, but don’t forget to clean up after yourself as well.Restrooms: clean public restroom with water fountains located right outside.Wheelchair accessibility: Push open doors that actually work. Spacious between the food stalls and tables. Accessible bathroom stall (1) with low sink counters.“

The fries were boardwalk style. The additional sauces were a pleasant surprise. I ordered the honey butter with medium heat with oreo milkshake and the buffalo mild with half-and-half. The ice machine was broken, but the owner or manager mentioned going next door to accommodate us. Needless to say, we'll be back to try other selections.“

Food came out fairly quickly and was fresh and flavorful. I got the chicken caesar wrap with fries and hubby got the chicken breast rainbow bowl. Portions were reasonable and not too large. The self serve sauces are very flavored and delicious ? Would recommend for a quick lunch or dinner. “This is hands-down, the best Silvestre location in my opinion. I always call and order my food and it's always ready for pick up when I go. The service is phenomenal and so is the food. My go to order is a steak taco bowl. The steak is always very tender and well seasoned. The taco bowl is always overflowing and the amount of steak that you get for the price is amazing. Both the green and orange sauces, put all of the dishes over the top. I've also had their pupusa and tamales. I love a good pupusa and the curdito that comes with it is so fresh. The prices are great, and the food is amazing. This is definitely one of my favorite spots to go to when I don't wanna cook“

I had only had yellow rice (arroz Amarillo.. hopefully I spelled that correctly). In Dominican Republic but this rice when smothered in sauteed onions is amazing. I'm about half way through trying everything on the menu and the only thing that wasn't what I expected was the rotisserie chicken. It wasn't bad just not as amazing as my favorite spot. Look out for its review if I haven't already. Oh and if you hablo español then you will surely appreciate this place.Vegetarian options: The veggies are seasoned very well. “Super yummy rotisserie chicken place. My fries were crispy and very hot, the chicken was seasoned nicely and was moist with crispy skin, and the plantains were excellent! Very good service, staff were great in helpful me find something safe to eat with my severe shellfish allergy. They do serve shrimp here but they do not fry it, so you can still eat the fries and plantains because they're not fried with shrimp. $1 extra to add plantains to meal, so half chicken with two sides (fries and plantains) was $17, which is pretty standard. Clean dining room, plenty of seating, plenty of parking when I visited. You can probably order in English, but they couldn't really understand detailed food allergy questions in English so I switched to Spanish. That's probably not a problem for a regular order though.“

Ok I embellished a bit, no stock, but he orders from there a lot. He usually gets chicken rice and something. I check the menu with hungry eyes on an empty stomach.
