“The food was fresh and ? I ordered a whole chicken with a mountain of fries ? for only $20.00 they have other sides but they didn't look appealing.? They also have two sauces to go with the chicken ? the yellow is like a mayo and the green is spicy. You should try the restaurant out?“
“I recently dined at D'lena and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious. The flavors were exceptional and left me wanting more. I ended up doing a walk in & ended up at the bar, my server at the bar was Paul! He truly made my visit outstanding! He was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. His knowledge of the menu and willingness to ensure my dining experience was perfect truly stood out. I highly recommend Dlena to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience with fantastic food and top-notch service!I had the squash soup & wagyu fajitas on a hot plate. The steak was also very good especially combined with the broccolini.“
“Orders are placed via phone or you can order at the counter but the tip defaults to 22%. I’m a generous tipper but am annoyed at this, esp when our server didn’t return with sugar after being asked for it or to check up on us. Otherwise, it’s a very cozy place.“
“Mama Chepas is fantastic and should be packed all the time! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week- no easy feat! Everything I've had there has been delicious. Favorites are Pollo con Tejadas, pupusas, fajitas, birria tacos, fish tacos, and bread pudding. Even their rice and beans are super flavorful! Portions are generous, prices are fair, and taste is outstanding. And the service is fast and friendly. It's easy to order takeout online as well. Don't sleep on this hidden gem!!! Let's make sure they stay in the neighborhood for a long time!“
“I had a late lunch and ordered the churrasco (skirt steak.) What I got was a riot of delicious flavors. The steak was topped with sautéed onions and parsley with a grilled Serrano. The last is not for the faint of heart. The sides included rice, pico de gallo and a South American version of mixed vegetables with a Peruvian green sauce in the middle. Freshly fried tortillas with cilantro chutney came separately. Did I say that it was all flavorful? The only thing I didn't like was the saltiness of the rice. While rice needs salt, it should never be noticeable especially to the extent of competing for dominance. This is why I had to dock a star. I should mention that my meal was gluten-free.“
“Super cool spot!!!!!!!! I’ve been coming here since Wilfredo first opened his doors. I’ve come to think of it as a home away from home. The food is exactly what the doctor ordered after a long days work. Karaoke Tuesdays has completely brought me out of my shell. It’s definitely become a hidden gem for the Brightwood community. I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out.“
“While I haven't visited this restaurant in-person, my orders through GrubHub have been on point!! The chicken is flavorful and seasoned well, and juicy. The sides are filling and are also very good. I got the brussel sprouts and fries. The brussel sprouts are coated with a carmelized type of ingredient that packs a big much. The only negative about them is that they are usually pretty big which makes it hard to eat them whole like normal sized ones, so keep a knife handy to cut them smaller. The fries were also very good. I must say the sauces are probably the best I've had out of all similar chicken spots, especially the green sauce!! Oh my, my, my!!! I just had them for lunch today and I'm really contemplating on ordering them for dinner - they are just that good!“
“El Cielo made our Valentine’s celebration a memorable experience! I wanted to surprise my husband this year and the CCO, Pedro, was very helpful when it came to helping me with last minute reservations. The entire staff was friendly, eloquent, and very professional. My husband and I are both Spanish speakers (it is our mother tongue) and we loved interacting with the staff in Spanish (this made it so much more special to us). Now, as for the food. Let me just start by saying that when I told my husband what our dining experience would be like, he was very skeptical. He is an amateur fighter, and when he is not doing “fighting camps” he LOVES to eat. When we arrived he was already making plans to go eat arepas after, to finish filling his tummy. Needles to say, arepas did not happen after, as he was extremely full from all the courses. Each meal was beautifully presented, and tasted just as divine! We loved knowing what each meal represented and they are all a beautiful homage to Colombia. The atmosphere in El Cielo, is very cozy. The aesthetics of the restaurant itself makes you feel like you are eating at a friends house. From the decorations to the music. Y para terminar, usando las palabras de mi hermoso esposo después de finalizar nuestra cena “Parce, toda esta comida estaba tan rica que te hace sentir que estás en el cielo”. El Cielo, un nombre tan propio para este encantador lugar. Nuevamente, muchísimas gracias a todos por hacer, y ser parte, de esta experiencia única e inolvidable para nosotros. Hasta la próxima!“
“This is still the best place in Beltsville to eat, and the best rotisserie chicken by far. The dining area could use some sound deadening material. The alfajores used to be melt-in-your-mouth delicious. They're still good, but not like they used to be.Go, eat. You won't be disappointed.“
“This place is good simple Mexican restaurant. It's not expensive but a very good experienceVegetarian options: Beans Burittos rice soup quesadillaDietary restrictions: Accommodation for gluten intoleranceParking: There is ample parking right next to the restaurant“
“I really enjoyed eating at Samantha’s! I was so surprised to walk in and see a lot of families eating in there, which told me this was a popular spot with potentially a lot of returning customers. We ordered the argentine steak that was supposed to come with a chimichurri sauce but didn’t appear present on the steak, more so “flavored” chimichurri I guess.. and I ordered beef and ribs fajitas. The rice and beans were really good and tasty. I enjoyed my beef fajitas, but the ribs were a little too saucy and more American bbq tasting than Latino style. I see that they have a pork ribs entree on the menu which I may try next time to see if they’re any but different than the fajitas.I really liked that they had a large menu with many options so we can try different stuff each time we come back. Will be returning soon with local family!“
“I recently visited Sardi's Pollo A La Brasa in Capitol Heights, MD, and I must say, their rotisserie chicken is exceptional. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, boasting a crispy skin outside and tender, juicy meat inside. It's no wonder the restaurant has garnered an impressive **4.5-star rating** from numerous satisfied customers. The portions are generous, ensuring you get great value for your money. And it's not just the chicken that's delicious – the plantains and the green sauce complement the meal wonderfully, adding to the overall flavor profile. While some diners have mentioned the service can be a bit slow during peak hours, and a few have noted the dishes can be a tad salty, these minor points don't detract from the overall high-quality dining experience.Sardi's is open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, which is convenient for both lunch and dinner plans. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this spot has you covered. Just remember to consider the salt content if you're watching your sodium intake, and maybe plan around the busy times if you're in a rush. Overall, Sardi's Pollo A La Brasa is a must-visit for anyone craving flavorful Peruvian cuisine in Capitol Heights.“
“Great Salvadoran ?? food! One of the best in town for pupusas and pescado frito. A great veriaty of menu options to fit your cravings, like yuca con chicharon (yuca with fried pork), savory beef and chicken dishes, and the frescos are also great.“
“I've been a loyal customer of Las Placitas for over two decades! I've followed them from their old location to their new location here in Navy Yard. Their food never disappoints and it's a place you can come to whine down. Don Jose is the face of the restaurant and he's one of the main reasons I always come back! I couldn't recommend this place enough“
“I can only tell what I have seen in this place. I haven't eaten here yet. I only come here for business. But I can tell you from what I see the place is crowded and when I look around the place everybody is smiling while they're eating and that indicates they are enjoyi g the food.“
“Oh my goodness! Those arepas are ridiculously delicious! Perfectly seasoned and plenty of meat! The shredded chicken Catira was AMAZING! Also had the yuca balls. Yummy too! I purchased one of their sauces and it was delicious with just the right kick! Definitely in my top 5 favorites!“
“This is not a Restaurant, if you look for the place there is a house that apparently sells beer, on one side you will see a white food truck and this is where you have to order the variety of dishes they offer. The price-quality-flavor are very good and they are very worth enjoying either right there on some tables that they have which would be uncomfortable in cold weather because it is outdoors, so it is better to order to go.“
“The Garnachas are not like those of Xela but it is the closest and best in the area. Food portions are large. I still come back after 14 years because the place is clean, hygienic and quick to serve. You have to arrive at a good time because it can fill up and the tables fill up. And people do not cooperate in leaving when they finish eating. They watch as those who are standing look at them to stop. It's the only frustrating thing. It's not the restaurant's fault. My Chapina people lack ethics. But no way.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cuba Libre Restaurant and Rum Bar, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped inside, I felt like I was transported to the vibrant streets of Havana. The colorful decor, lively music, and welcoming atmosphere immediately set the stage for a fantastic evening. As a rum enthusiast, I was in heaven with their extensive selection of rums from all over the Caribbean. The cocktails were expertly crafted, bursting with tropical flavors and perfectly balanced. And the food? Oh, the food was absolutely divine! Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the bold and flavorful cuisine of Cuba. From the classic ropa vieja to the mouthwatering lechón, every bite was a taste of paradise. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff making sure that every aspect of my dining experience was flawless. Whether you're craving authentic Cuban cuisine, delicious cocktails, or just a lively atmosphere to enjoy with friends, Cuba Libre Restaurant and Rum Bar is the place to be. I can't wait to go back and do it all over again!“
“I have been loving this food truck even before I started Yelp. The family that was always at this location was so amazing and they passed on the Love into the food. Before I left for Texas, I would always crave the chicharones and yucca here. My kids and I would plan our errands around the area, so that we could have a good treat from the truck. Now that I'm back, it did not disappoint my fond memories! I was literally ordering chicharones and yucca at 9:00 am in the morning on a cold wet rainy winter morning! It was easy to order, hooray for pictures, if you want to pick something else. My goddaughters love the pupusas here too! They were here a few days ago and brought us some home, hot and fresh! That's what sent me down memory lane! Foodie cravings of crunchy savory porky perfection and the yucca fries that are always golden and crunchy on the outside and pillowy inside. The salad is on point and elevates the dish to be a little lighter and adds the crispy vinegary element that helps reset the pallet. And of course, I had to order decadent sweet plantains... my guilty pleasure. Did I mention this was at 9:00 am! There's literally school buses still out! But if I didn't eat it all, because of how generous the portions are, I can air fry all these Foodie treasures back to their best texture and temperature. Needless to say, this made all the cold wet cold weather just another day in paradise! Hope you all have a blessed day!!! Give a good tip, since it's safer than hugs and kisses.... because that's what this food feels like !!! Share the LOVE!!“
“The best Tacos I ever tasted in the area; prices are very reasonable, living over 30 years in DC the flavor and service they deliver are excellent. I'm Peruvian but I can tell you this is a unique place for Mexican and Central American plates. ??????Vegetarian options: You can select yourself your choices.“
“Was a great comfortable vibe, loved the strawberry margarita, will be returning for one. Food was lovely as well. Definitely my new spot.Kid-friendliness: Was very sweet to my niece. Offered her a nice cup of lemonade. She was shy at first but she opened up after her lemonade lol!“
“Fantastic! I got the birria beef tacos and my husband got the birria beef fries. Definitely couldn't be happier with how delicious our meals were! Mega bonus points for kiddos eating free from their kids meal selection.Absolutely plan on going back and trying more items from the menu!“
“I decided to try something new from Uber eats. Long story short, I ended up ordering the same thing the next day and theeeeen I went to the actual restaurant the following week! That's how good it was lol. I ordered the steak and shrimp meal with refried beans and rice...cooked to perfection.“
“If you're on the hunt for an authentic and mouthwatering experience with Pollos a la Brasa, look no further! This hidden gem exceeded all expectations and left my taste buds dancing with joy. In addition to the fantastic food, the service was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and passionate about ensuring that every guest had a memorable dining experience.“
“Awesome food and drinks...The fruit icy drunk was excellent!!!Burritos and tacos were great.I really liked the steak Burrito but wouldn't get it with lettuce and tomatoes inside next time because it takes away from the awesome flavors.“
“I was completely taken aback with the new menu for this place. We order as a start up two pupusas (one chicharrón with cheese and a "revuelta"; they were delicious, and of course it is then that I decided to write a review for this place. I didn't take a picture of the appetizer (tacos dorados) either. For our main course we had the trio super special and as you can see in the picture it was as delicious as it seems. The only constructive criticism is in the portion of the sides in the main dish (as it's observed in the picture there were 2 1/2 pieces of Fried Yuca, and that was supposed to be a whole side). Other than that the meal was out of this world. We ordered a banana shake, a little bit more banana and a sprinkle of sugar would had made the shake as good as the rest of the items we tried in tHe menu. If you are planning to come in, you can't leave without trying the churros caramelo... they taste AMAZING! Overall, the whole experience was excellent. I wish they allowed me to purchase the coaster, but hey... you can't asked for perfection.. Give this place a try out!“
“This is a nice and cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. The food here is amazing to the point where my mouth starts to water every time I think of their well portioned pupusas ? (much bigger and cheesier than the place next door)! Their quesadillas and breakfast meals is great too! Every time I go in expecting to buy just one meal, but after looking at the menu and smelling the food cooking in the kitchen I end up leaving with two to three meals. Overall this place is a steal for the quality of the food they give you at very reasonable prices and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area who’s looking for a nice authentic Spanish food restaurant.“
“Hi everyone. At work a handful of coworkers trying to debate on what's actually good since we are using a service app. An avid coworker tells us he has service stock for the frequented place. Ok I embellished a bit, no stock, but he orders from there a lot. He usually gets chicken rice and something. I check the menu with hungry eyes on an empty stomach. To my surprise of arrival, the meal stops short of NOTHING! As you can see the other half is in the plate. It's pretty much self explanatory except I ate half of a half. This 188 lady couldn't take the pressure she gives. ok now order the same and tell me what you think. Enjoy.“
“Very good food and customer service. Had problem with my initial order and the owner was so nice to take care of it as he doesn't like his clients unhappy. Amazing service I received and the food is the bomb!!! My first time ordering from there and it was a take out. Next time I'll done in. Great atmosphere.“
“Came here with the kids for lunch after going to America's Best in the plaza. The server was very kind and attentive . My son had the pupusas. He loved them... said they were the best he ever had? I had a very lovely shrimp fajita ❤️ It was sizzling the shrimp was well seasoned? very nice?? The Pina Colada was nice and my daughter had fries with a side order of beans. She loved it would definitely go back?Vegetarian options: The pupusas are customized. You can put whatever feeling you want in themKid-friendliness: Can't lose with the french fries and the beans.“
“We are regular customers at this location, we really like the food at this restaurant, especially the pupusas, but lately the rice pupusas are no longer the same, they are hard and dry, I imagine that the cooks are not the same, but they should value the employee more when you do a good job so that the quality of the food does not change, also the waiters, some are super efficient and others not, and the tip we leave them is shared, something that is not fair from my point of view, because there are waitresses who never They bring what you ask for, they pretend not to listen, when yes, they have listened; I think that it is fair that each waiter collects what he earned with care and good service.“
