“Bimbimbap has always been my favorite Korean dish, especially when I became vegetarian. Great selection of toppings much more than a typical bimbimbap would have. I did a pick your own and layered in everything that caught my fancy, including the potato noodles halfsies. Service was adequate. Portions were good and ingredients seemed fresh. Of course my sauce was gochujang. OK value, tasty, it's like a Mediterranean bowl Korean style. Lots of seating, Sat upstairs. Not very crowded on a Thursday night, unlike the rest of this happening shopping venue.“

“Unfortunately the service was displeasing at best. The ingredients were in good to decent shape in comparison to the numerous other SG locations I’ve been at, but the service was disappointing. One of the workers who took my on Sunday evening shift was generous with the base, which I appreciated, but skimpy with the vegetable and protein toppings. She did not bother to actually empty the scoop, so my bowl ended up with half scoops of pickled cabbage, onion, etc. I had to wait for the steak to be cut, and while it was nice to get it fresh, the portions were maybe half or two-thirds of the usual protein. SG has always been good hearted and for my personal preference perfectly slightly with their protein, so it was quite noticeable. My friend commented as well. She did plate the bowl neatly and was very generous with the blue cheese for some reason. She also overcharged a dollar or so, not sure where. It was just disappointing.“

“Unbelievable experience at what initially looks like a carryout restaurant. When we walked in we knew we were gonna take our carryout order and sit in. The menu has a lot of variety. The food came out fresh and made to order, but it did not take a long time. I looked at the reviews and saw that the Gyro over rice looked really good, it tasted even better!!

The owner was very relatable, and very hospitable. Though you order at the counter, they bring the food to you like at a sit down restaurant! It felt almost like I was eating at a family-friend’s or my uncle’s house!

I already know what I’m going to order when I come back from my second trip! Keep up the amazing job !!

“We have a big party in Choyhona on Saturday, March 9th. The tables were set beautifully, salads and kebabs were tasty (most recommend Kutabi with meat). Everything was served in time. Waiters were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.“

“Came in on a hot day (July 2025). Loved the noodles, ease of ordering on the monitors and good seating to work thru lunch break. The customer service was 12 out of 10. All the workers were friendly and attentive. They greeted everyone, cleaned up after each guest, and asked every customer how they were doing and if they needed anything. Kudos to the ladies in the kitchen. I do think the AC is broken so it can’t be easy. There were also no bathrooms so I wasn’t able to wash my hands.“

“Ambar's newest location does not disappoint. If you know Ambar, it goes without saying the food is amazing. new offerings on the menu gave me some new favorites to add to my already long list. “The cocktails are on point. I had a Mezcal JungleBird and a Firing Squad. Both were delicious. My friends also liked their drinks. The bartenders were fun and entertaining. The one guy has a propeller on his vat - he is hilarious.

We had lamb kebabs, hummus, and charcuterie. The lamb was so tender and tasty - a little bit spicy with a hint of mint. I think that the hummus had beets in the recipe - delicious. They gave us so much hummus that we could have used more pita but we didn’t ask. The bresaola on the charcuterie plate was out of this world. I heard that they make a pretty solid burger but we already had dinner and we were just snacking with late night drinks.

Classy place. Framed prints of Alphonse Mucha’s work behind the bar - there is an Art Nouveau feel. Nice looking room.

Pretty great place - one of the best places in DC IMO. I really hope that it doesn’t get ruined by stupid drunks roaming around Dupont Circle.

“Excellent place. The falafel wrap was outstanding chock full of falafel with the requisite salad, hummus and tehini. Even better when you add some hot pepper mix for a little spice. Spouse enjoyed the falafel platter which included a side of pita. Their fries were great, very crunchy. Their food is very authentic to various middle eastern countries that I have visited. The place is comfy, booths and a few tables. Service was quick and excellent. The owner is Palestinian and surely deserves our support. We highly recommend!“

“We visited DC this weekend from NC. I went to DC Vegan with my non-vegan husband. Two days later he's still raving about the chick'n cutlet club. He said it was the best "chicken" sandwich he ever had and I can't convince him it was actually vegan 😆 Well done friends 👏👏 I had the artichoke bowl which was fantastic and the cheesecake is to die for! “I "cried" when my fave VEGAN or VEGETARIAN "GO-to" eat-in place closed all their locations around Boston. That was sadly & formerly GrainMaker .. (gone now) However DiG has grown on me as their deFACTO replacement for all FRESH VEGGIES and otherwise ALL FRESH MEAL VEGAN or VEGETERIAN eats and eat-in place! This is becoming my greatly reccomended "hidden vegan and veggie gem" in Boston with LOTS of locations. They have 3 locations thus far in Boston and 2 in Cambridge. I hav ONLY visited their downtown location thus far! Just as formerly with GrainMaker, DiG is as close to authentic home cooked! & genuinely HEALTHY! AND fresh meals that you can get to. Always fresh veggies, steamed & otherwise. --(they also serve a variety of proteins, as in variety of meats and fish, but i stay vegan. I have NEVER tried any of their meats or fish here.. ONLY their veggies and seasoned TOFU on occasion.. more oft than not, i do not even get their TOFU as a protein and opt to feast on JUST their steamed or boiled or baked veggies, bases. like rice and excellent mixed veggie salads sides!) Have been frequenting it for about 2 years since 2023 now, but held off on reviewing it until i was SURE of my experiences here. Decided to review it today bcs "it's time". I spoke to the very customer service oriented and responsibve supervisor here at this location, his name is DiJuan and was served by Adonis today and he was also very accommodating (after i explained i eat vegan) and on showing me my MANY fresh veggie choices, bases, proteins (including delish prepared Tofu) and PLENTY of heavenly veggie sides, all preped like you'd expect to find in a Thanksgiving grand day family meal. (AND they do this EVERY DAY!! ) This is HEALTHY eats and quite tasty and delish! See my posted pic w this review of my choice of eats today. In short, just today, i started with very little brown rice as my base and added 2 types of their fresh salad, Cannellini Beans w dill & greens along with their steamed or boiled Kale greens and added also a sweet potato that had been steamed & also steamed brocolli. I LUV eating fresh, healthy, TASTY and "homemade style" (as in NOT processed!!). I added their Garlic dressing to top it off. It came to something like 10+ bucks (B4 tax)! Unheard of !! for a BIG & FULLY portioned full veggie plate like this! BIG PORTION of a FULL PLATE! -- i declined, as usual to get any protein with my meal today, is why, STiLL i got a HUGE portioned plate! ( I normally HAVE2 order 2 - 3 separate orders and combine them, at HoneyGrow, anuther fave local "vegan" franchise in Boston, in order to get filled up if i'm only eating OMAD, as in One-meal-a-Day, in order to get full elsewhere usually!). They have a FAMILY (feeds4) option after 3pm every day that feeds 4-5 people (adults not kids) for like $43. QUITE A BARGAIN for something like this. AND it look like a Thankgiving day meal to top it off! --(formerly anuther non-vegan place "had this", now gone, called Boston Market. However they LOADED their side protions and even base meal with SO MUCH SALT, yuck! so that was ALL you could taste. THEY supposedly made home made, but found out NOT SO!!, theirs was loaded with processed sh*t, like their supposedly home-made mashed potatoes were the powder kind, loaded with pseudo milk and SALT, YUCK!!) NOT SO ! with this place.. DiG is 180 degrees fr tht.. This is truly GREAT tasting REAL and "home-prepped" veggies. They are winning me over from my other 2 "go-to's" "vegan-ish" franchises in Boston whcih have steadily been declining for various reasons, those being Bon-Me (their employees, over at Bon-Me for last 2-3 years it seems at ALL locations i have tried, simply do not undertsand nor speak english for the most part, their food WEN i can get it ordered the way i want it, is generally good, oft times its taken over 2 returned plates in order to get it prepared the way i orderd it.. v“
