I had 3 different layers with 3 different flavors, i had the chocolate cake with raspberry filling, the Jamaican rum with coconut filling and lastly the mango cake, the flavors were out this world, it was soo good and moist except for a little hiccup with the Jamaican rum but i called the bakery and they solved the problem the proper way. This is by far my favorite bakery and i will continue to come for every event i have.“

“My husband and I love getting ice cream at Kyoto Matcha. I love the atmosphere and the vibe. We almost always get awesome service. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because one time we ordered a slice of cake to go and we were given a frozen slice. Normally we are asked when we are going to eat it. I asked if we could get a slice that isn’t frozen and the woman helping us didn’t have the best attitude about it. Misunderstandings happen but I don’t think it was handled well that time. They make what is unquestionably the most delicious chocolate chip cookie I have ever tried in my life, and I am including all the dairy and gluten filled cookies I had before developing food allergies. My one and only complaint is the unpredictability of their hours of operations as I have TWICE driven the half hour here only to find a dark storefront - I STRONGLY recommend the operators consider some method of letting fans like myself know they will be closed during what would be their normal operating hours.“

After a few hours of working, my friend and I bought a tiramisu cake and violet cheesecake. The tiramisu was great, but I personally wouldn't recommend the violet cake. It had a very strong lavender taste, which tasted odd for me. “I live across the road from Woodmoor Pastry Shop and have been here maybe close to a dozen times over the years. At first I was not sure what the fuss was all about, but now that I'm more of a regular and have sampled most of their product types, I know what's good. What's great about this shop is that they have a bit of everything, and much of it is made fresh daily, especially when it comes to bread, morning pastries and doughnuts. Things like cookies and cupcakes are probably not made daily, and at times I've had some cupcakes that were a bit dry. Where they stand out is what they make on a daily basis - the doughnuts and morning pastries and they make some decent breads and buns. The cookies have often been a miss for me as well as some of the other baked desserts. The cupcakes I would overall recommend the specialty ones, such as the Hostess and carrot cake. But what ends up bringing me into the shop on some mornings after my Saturday parkruns? The cronuts! They are big, fresh and oh so delicious. Even the day after, the are amazing (even more doughy and dense, in a good way!) The service is always fast and friendly and the price is very fair too!“

I'm from Los Angeles visiting for business and the mochi donut craze has simmered down over there.The ube mochi donut here was perfectly sweet for this kind of donut, and it had a really nice mochi chew to it. For those unfamiliar with mochi, it's a rice flour, which makes the texture more chewy rather than a traditional donut. It's not a fluffy donut, so if it sits out for too long, the fried oil gets absorbed into the dough more. The one from Donutchew was still fresh enough to not have the oily texture to it.I also got a jasmine milk tea (half sugar) and really enjoyed it. Jasmine tea had a strong floral aroma/taste to it and this milk tea didn't dilute it out. If you like the taste of teas, I'd really recommend this one.“

“The service was solid, she was helpful in telling me the prices and flavors they had at the time. I got 6 slices for 20$ and of those 6 slices I got: 2x cookies n cream, 2x raspberry swirl, 1x mango, and 1x Black Forest cake. As a big fan of anything cookies n cream I was excited to try the cheesecake version of it and It was very underwhelming and disappointing.The raspberry swirl was pretty good and might just be my favorite, it seems that the best thing to go with a cheesecake is fruit because it's always good together. The Black Forest cake was surprisingly better than expected and you can taste the fruit that's in it too which makes it even better.The mango slice was unique and different but still decent. If I was ranking the flavors I'd say first the raspberry swirl, second the Black Forest cake, third the mango, and lastly the cookies n cream.Btw I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake, I think it's a decent dessert but it's nowhere near my favorite desserts so if you like cheesecake i can see you enjoying this place a lot.I would be open to coming back to try their apple Crumb cheesecake, carrot cake, and their blueberry cheesecake.“
