It was not crowded. I heard the Sax player from another area in MGM and the rich tones drew me to the upper level to “Lobby Bar”! So glad I stopped by! Great musician. Great sound! “Amidst the hustle and bustle of businesses and restaurants lies a hidden gem. The sunsets here are stunning, and you can enjoy one of the best views in the area. Walk past the wheel to the right, and you'll find a cozy bar with seating over the water. Relax in a comfy chair and watch the sunset. While the bar doesn't serve liquor, it offers basic drinks. There are no food options, but my husband and I loved spending the last two evenings here, listening to music, chatting, and watching the sun go down. It's a perfect spot to unwind with or without a drink.“

While the patio area was a bit cramped for our group size and the proximity to the smoking area was less than ideal, the overall experience was positive. But, I had the best fried pickles I've ever had, a delicious chicken cordon blue grilled cheese sandwich, and many different craft brews which were all fantastic. “Randomly found out about this place after having dinner with a friend at the sushi restaurant upstairs. It looked like a cute modernly decorated bar once we entered and it was. The music was GREAT, the bartenders were lovely and super attentive! The drinks had delicious interesting flavors and definitely gave you that kick you’re looking for after midnight. We got to sit at the bar to enjoy your cocktails.“

“Fun bar to chill and hang out with friends, or meet new ones. There are 3 pool tables and more than 6 screens. There is even a pull down screen when they have video games. The pool tables are 7 foot bar tables and well felted. You pay with a card on the table and it’s about $2 a rack. The vibe is good with various music and neon lights. Very Instagramable if you like taking photos with neon and fake plant walls. There is bar seating and seating at tables. There is no food at the Toro Bar so bring your own.

Toro always has sports on TV and drink specials. They have a beer and shot special and other mixed drinks. Don’t expect a world class cocktail, but expect a fun night and good people. This is a good neighborhood bar in Columbia Heights and Uptown. A short 10 minute walk from the Petworth Metro station. It’s right on 14th Street NW and off the bus line too. There is street parking in front.

“An excellent dining experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Beautiful decor, stylish but comfortable seating, and just good vibes all round.

All of the food was amazing and so creative, especially the beet tartare which had this vegan egg yolk that looked and tasted like a real egg yolk! The mocktails were really fun too.

Only downside is that it’s pricey for the amount of food you get, but if you’re looking for a more refined dining experience with great atmosphere and delicious food you should definitely consider this place.“

“Solid bottomless brunch! The drinks are STRONG, food delicious and filling and exactly what you want when you are doing a bottomless brunch. Appetizers were a little pricey imo, but $48 for an entree and unlimited cocktails I mean I can’t think of a better bottomless brunch I’ve been to for that price point. Also super cute vibes - beachy/coastal. Could be a casual breakfast or a boozy brunch with the girls!

(Note: if you are an espresso martini connessuier, don’t get it. It is made with cold brew and they add sugar so it’s quite sweet. It’s alright especially for a bottomless, but if you’re picky get any other drink.)

“This place is intoxicating!! The decor is very Gatsbyesque! Totally cool private gin club speakeasy vibe. Went here for after dinner drinks with my girlfriends and it really hit the mark! Rachel and the rest of her VIP team made planning the event seamless and they were so helpful leading up to the event. They took care of everything day-of so I didn't have to worry about a single thing except enjoying my event! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the music was excellent. “If you’re in DC, Quill cocktail bar is the place to go. Its dim lit atmosphere and ambience provides such an intimate setting whether for friends and family or for business. You have your choice of sitting indoors or outside on their raised patio. Oh, and the service here is phenomenal! When you first sit, they bring you mixed nuts and olives and introduce themselves. Their cocktail menu may have only been just a page but if it’s not on there, they can definitely make it for you. My wife requested an Espresso Martini (non-menu) and it was the best of its kind she’s had yet. She also enjoyed the Ventura Highway, from their menu. My personal favorite of theirs was the “Johnny be Woode.” This became my go-to there. They do have a dinner menu as well. Their burger exceeded my expectations! Their desert menu impressed! The presentation was artwork and the flavors will surely make you long for more. Our server two of the three nights we were there was Andrew. Andrew made sure we had everything we needed and could possibly want. He provided absolutely excellent service, great humor, and pleasant conversation. On our third evening here, Amber greeted and served us. Amber is another gem at Quill, making recommendations on menu items as well as local recommendations around the town based off what my taste preferences are. Both Andrew and Amber had an awesome attitude and helped make our stay at the Jefferson Hotel just that much more memorable! The atmosphere, service, and great attitudes made for such a unique and satisfying experience that we ended each of our evenings, visiting Quill. Next time we’re in town, we will definitely be going back to Quill.“
