“Alekos was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious and every bite was full of flavor. The drinks were phenomenal — truly some of the best crafted cocktails I’ve had in a while. They’re top-notch, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet like so many places tend to make them. A special shoutout to Liz the bartender, who was amazing! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly takes pride in what she creates behind the bar. Her cocktails were spot-on and elevated the entire experience. If you’re looking for great food, expertly made drinks, and excellent service, Alekos is definitely worth a visit. We’ll absolutely be back!”

“We've eaten there before. This was a take-out. We got there early. Our order was not ready, which I appreciated. (would have been cold had I been on time) Everything was very well packaged and brought up exactly on time. The stuff portobello was excellent as always. The angel hair pasta with garlic wine sauce and spinach was a bit bland, corrected with salt. The strawberry salmon salad would have been excellent if the salmon wasn't overdone. It was still very good. We did not care for the crab soup. 2 very nice side salads and yummy bread. Large portions. One of the servers offered us water while we waited which was very nice.”

“Lovely. Lovely. Lovely. An interesting old building wonderfully restored, with seating on multiple levels; an outdoors balcony perched over the street below, where you can sit and read or simply observe, unseen by pedestrians, shaded and with a fresh breeze. A small, quiet courtyard out back surrounded by the ancient rocks and blooming plants, secluded from street traffic. A friendly staff. Pups welcome. Delicious coffees and teas. And as scrumptious a pastry as any I’ve had, anywhere. Arrive at 7:00 when the baked goods are piping hot and fresh out of the oven and it’s an experience you’d be hard pressed to improve upon.”

Staff were nice and friendly. Kids play area. Decent amount of seating inside & outside. Some nice local stuff to buy- mugs, honey, coffee etc..

“Cow's Cones is the best ice cream shop around! It has a great location being in the country with a wooded setting along National Pike (US-40 Alt), very close to Greenbrier State Park. They have the smoothest, and creamiest ice cream that melts in your mouth. They fill your cone and cup up to the top, and don't skimp on the ice cream servings. The staff is super friendly, and it's an all around fun, clean, and happy atmosphere. Cow's Cones has several outdoor games to play including everyone's favorite game, cornhole. I believe this is the only local ice cream shop that has flavor burst ice cream. My favorite flavor is cotton candy flavor burst. If you haven't ever tried flavor burst ice cream, you need to very soon. It is phenomenal! Cow's Cones is pet friendly, and they even serve pup cups for your faithful companion to enjoy too. Lots of ice cream creations to try. Everything they sell is at a decent price. I highly recommend Cow's Cones to everyone wanting to have a pleasant evening while enjoying ice cream in a relaxing country setting.”

“Stopped in 15 minutes before closing on my husband’s birthday so I could get him something delicious. They never made me feel rushed and were absolutely lovely. I picked a key lime cheesecake slice, a berry tart, and a chocolate crème brûlée. My husband loved them all. Our favorite, though, was the cheesecake. SO delicious. I’ll definitely be back!”

“You can tell when you drive up to a place if the food is good by how busy the parking lot is. Sure was busy, but a few minute wait just allowed us to fall in love with the quaint interior of this Cafe. The food was as good as the wait staff! Would definitely plan to eat here again, to try the breakfast menu! The exterior porch all decorated for Christmas just added to the charm!”
