“Marta manages to be both lively and cozy simultaneously in a rowhouse that previously housed Salt (one of my all time favorite upscale restaurants) We went for a friend's birthday, and all 3 courses were delicious, beautifully presented, inventive, and not the same old menu that you find everywhere. Very sweet wait staff was super attentive, educated about the food and wine and made great suggestions. Our original wait staff had an emergency and had to leave in the middle of service, but seamlessly another wait person stepped in to covered us. Kudos to the front of house team for handling with such skill and ease. But the food was definitely the star of the show. For me, the standout was the tuna cannoli. I'm not even sure I can do justice to this deliciousness with a crunchy outer "cannoli" shell with a slight hint of sweet surrounding a creamy center of tuna crudi with little dots of avocado cream. And all was covered with a pistachio "dust." The spicy meatballs were delectable nestled in a cloud of creamy spicy ricotta. And the Duck and Foie Gras Panzotti (little triangle ravioli) was creamy, delicious and the perfect combination of delicate tastes. And the Tiramisu Affogato ended the dinner on a delicious note! And for two people with drinks it was really pretty a good deal for the quality if the food, service and location. We will be back! Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5“

“Ordered off of their catering menu for my wife's birthday. I purchased the Margharita Seafood Special with shrimp, scallops and lump crabmeat in a rose' cream sauce and it was excellent! The homemade meatballs jad everybody raving and their sausage, onions and peppers in marinara sauce was also great. Thankfully we had some left overs that we are still enjoying. Lastly was their Greek salad, very fresh and loaded with feta cheese. I definitely recommend these folks for your next lunch or dinner or when you need an event catered. Call and ask for Saul and he and the staff there will take great care of you!!“

“This was my second visit to Love, Pomelo, and somehow it was even better than the first.

We ordered the Carbonara Verde and the Anchovy Toast, and both were incredible. The carbonara was rich and comforting without feeling too heavy, and the anchovy toast was the perfect balance of salty, creamy, and crisp. Every bite felt thoughtful and intentional.

What made this visit unforgettable, though, had nothing to do with the food.

I ended up having one of the most genuine conversations with the manager, Min We started talking as strangers, but I left feeling like I had been seen by someone who truly cared. In a world where we often move from place to place without interacting with the people around us, that conversation reminded me how meaningful simple human connection can be.

That, to me, is the definition of hospitality. It’s not just serving great food. It’s making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for.

Love, Pomelo has become one of my favorite spots in Baltimore, not only because of the food, but because of the people behind it. I’ll definitely be back.“

It's my favorite, too. The lasagna had so much of the wonderful delicate tomato sauce, it was covered. This is the real authentic lasagna of Italy. For a tasty pasta with a kick, the Salmone Al Pesto has a marvelous creamy pesto sauce, & a heaping of small fresh button mushrooms. They say it's only 6 oz. of salmon but the whole plate was covered in large segments of it--it's large enough to take home for a second dinner. Mama had made her own Tiramisu. The delicate sponge soaked with flavor is something not to be missed. Get it when you can. The service from Madison was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable & extremely helpful. This is a wonderful place for authentic Italian meals.“

“Loved that t his place was smaller on the inside than it appeared on the outside so the vibes were intimate. Small, focused menu of really interesting items made it easy. Raw and cooked apps. 5 or 6 small plates and only 2 large plates plus a big sharable large plate (octopus) special for up to 4 people. Good wine selection. great complimentary house-made limoncello to finish out the meal. Even an NA one for those that don't imbibe. Service was great!“

“I was at a birthday catered by Benny’s. The meatballs were outstanding, tender, moist, excellent flavor and the sauce was excellent also! Deep flavors, not strong, with a good texture, without that strong acid, garlicky tomato flavor! Baked pasta was great also! It was good for my tummy also, no reflux, YUMMY 🤗. “My husband and I have dined at Basta Pasta on numerous occasions, preferring to sit at the bar, and have never been disappointed. The service at the bar is excellent and the food is delicious. You get a lot of bang for your buck with the salad and breadsticks with the meal too. Drinks are always well made and we are never left waiting long for refills or food. The entire staff are always top-notch and on top of everything, professional, hardworking, and polite. We appreciate this local restaurant and will continue to frequent it. Desserts are also delicious. Also, the coffee drink I ordered had real whipped cream which was impressive.“

I had the Linguine Primavera with EVOO and my husband had the Chicken Marsala with fettuccine. The meals were fresh, flavorful and seasoned perfectly. Warm soft crusty rolls added to our enjoyment. Portions were so large, it provided a second night’s dinner! This wasn’t our first meal from Acapella and they have always been on point. Will certainly be back!“

Chef John recommended the Rigatoni alla Vodka with shrimp and it was everything. My husband always particular about seafood felt the shrimp was cooked to perfection. We also had the Buratta as an App and took a Tiramisu to go and enjoy later. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable meal with excellent service. We will be back. If you are looking for an excellent meal in a beautiful environment I recommend it.“
