“With a recent infatuation of fresh made pasta and my love of cozy quaint restaurants, Love, Pomelo was a must try on my list.

I've walked by Love, Pomelo on numerous occasions and never knew that some of the most delicious pasta was being made. I made a reservation for one and took a seat at the bar for the evening. The ambiance invoked a comforting romance novel, dimly lit with soft antique touches.

Since I planned my visit on a Wednesday during happy hour, I was able to not only partake in happy hour, but also their $20 pasta specials. So, I started with a Spritz as my cocktail and some of their broccoli, which I never knew broccoli could be the main focus and taste so damn good. Perfectly seasoned, crisp, and full of garlic flavor. I'm still dreaming of this broccoli. I opted for a red sauce rigatoni pasta with guanciale, and this pasta literally made my soul dance. A little red pepper flakes on the side for heat and I was in heaven. I couldn't end the night without dessert, although I was stuffed. So, I settled on a small serving of Amaro & Gelato. The sweet Amaro liquor poured over two small scoops of real pistachio gelato was the perfect nightcap to a beautiful meal.

Between the fresh made pasta and broccoli, Love, Pomelo has stolen a piece of my heart, to which I cannot wait until my next visit to relive the experience.“

“Ordered off of their catering menu for my wife's birthday. I purchased the Margharita Seafood Special with shrimp, scallops and lump crabmeat in a rose' cream sauce and it was excellent! The homemade meatballs jad everybody raving and their sausage, onions and peppers in marinara sauce was also great. Thankfully we had some left overs that we are still enjoying. Lastly was their Greek salad, very fresh and loaded with feta cheese. I definitely recommend these folks for your next lunch or dinner or when you need an event catered. Call and ask for Saul and he and the staff there will take great care of you!!“

“Real Italian cuisine is served here in ample helpings. Mama's Favorite Caesar salad can be split for two people. It's loaded with soft fresh mozzarella, artichoke, & sundried tomatoes. It's my favorite, too. The lasagna had so much of the wonderful delicate tomato sauce, it was covered. This is the real authentic lasagna of Italy. For a tasty pasta with a kick, the Salmone Al Pesto has a marvelous creamy pesto sauce, & a heaping of small fresh button mushrooms. They say it's only 6 oz. of salmon but the whole plate was covered in large segments of it--it's large enough to take home for a second dinner. Mama had made her own Tiramisu. The delicate sponge soaked with flavor is something not to be missed. Get it when you can. The service from Madison was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable & extremely helpful. This is a wonderful place for authentic Italian meals.“

“My husband and I have dined at Basta Pasta on numerous occasions, preferring to sit at the bar, and have never been disappointed. The service at the bar is excellent and the food is delicious. You get a lot of bang for your buck with the salad and breadsticks with the meal too. Drinks are always well made and we are never left waiting long for refills or food. The entire staff are always top-notch and on top of everything, professional, hardworking, and polite. We appreciate this local restaurant and will continue to frequent it. Desserts are also delicious. Also, the coffee drink I ordered had real whipped cream which was impressive.“

“Marta manages to be both lively and cozy simultaneously in a rowhouse that previously housed Salt (one of my all time favorite upscale restaurants) We went for a friend's birthday, and all 3 courses were delicious, beautifully presented, inventive, and not the same old menu that you find everywhere. Very sweet wait staff was super attentive, educated about the food and wine and made great suggestions. Our original wait staff had an emergency and had to leave in the middle of service, but seamlessly another wait person stepped in to covered us. Kudos to the front of house team for handling with such skill and ease. But the food was definitely the star of the show. For me, the standout was the tuna cannoli. I'm not even sure I can do justice to this deliciousness with a crunchy outer "cannoli" shell with a slight hint of sweet surrounding a creamy center of tuna crudi with little dots of avocado cream. And all was covered with a pistachio "dust." The spicy meatballs were delectable nestled in a cloud of creamy spicy ricotta. And the Duck and Foie Gras Panzotti (little triangle ravioli) was creamy, delicious and the perfect combination of delicate tastes. And the Tiramisu Affogato ended the dinner on a delicious note! “Had found the place by accident roaming around the night before and ordered a chicken sandwich that was AWESOME! So decided on it for the pizza, highly recommend, the following night while roaming again. Started speaking with a older woman behind the bar who is part owner and she was so delightful and informativ of the area of Little Italy and told me of some of the history associated with the area. Such a great experience for an out of stater to have.“

“My husband and I were looking for a good meal slightly out of the chaos of Fells Point and stumbled upon this most delicious Italian restaurant. Chef John recommended the Rigatoni alla Vodka with shrimp and it was everything. My husband always particular about seafood felt the shrimp was cooked to perfection. We also had the Buratta as an App and took a Tiramisu to go and enjoy later. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable meal with excellent service. We will be back. “An unexpected hospital stay changed our plans for Valentine’s Day, but a week later we were able to do carry out. I had the Linguine Primavera with EVOO and my husband had the Chicken Marsala with fettuccine. The meals were fresh, flavorful and seasoned perfectly. Warm soft crusty rolls added to our enjoyment. Portions were so large, it provided a second night’s dinner! This wasn’t our first meal from Acapella and they have always been on point. Will certainly be back!“

The veal parm with penne and meat sauce is perfection — tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly the way true Italian comfort food should be. It’s easily one of the best veal parms I’ve ever had. And the mussels? WOW. Truly the best mussels around — fresh, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor. I could come here just for those alone! To top it off, their espresso martinis are to die for. Smooth, balanced, and delicious every single time — the perfect drink to pair with a great meal. Jake does a great job! Huge compliments to the new chef and the whole team. “Our waiter was probably the highlight of the meal. He was very conversational, very attentive and made our experience great. The food was good for the most part, we all got different items, and perhaps it's that the cheese was to exotic for our understanding, but the raviolis were good, my steak salad was good but came out 5 minutes before dessert, and my grandmother‘s filet mignon was good. Everyone said the gnocchi was amazing and so delicious. They also gave us desserts for my grandmother‘s birthday, and the moose was phenomenal. Overall, it was a good experience however the service was amazing, I would go back just to be attended to buy our waiter, who made the dinner amazing.“

“I love olive garden so much !!!! Usually I dont know what to get because all of it looks SO good and I want to try something I've never had sometimes and it always ends up good!!! I had gotten a text last night about a free delivery fee code ( OGDELIVERS) which saves me 5 bucks. And I knew immediately that I was ordering olive garden for lunch tomorrow . Originally I was thinking of ordering a bucket of my favorite soup ( zuppa toscana... its SOOOOO GOOD . I love it SO MUCH. I cant eat from OG without having it.) And then just 2 desserts one for later and one for tomorrow ( because i have nothing sweet in my house and dont feel like going anywhere and ik I'll crave a sweet lol) that's all I was going to order ..... But of course it's a womans prerogative to change her mind lol so when I looked at the menu I ended up choosing something I never ordered specifically from olive garden and it was the *CHICKEN TORTELLONI ALFREDO* .. I absolutely LOVE Alfredo . (As long as it's not from a jar from the grocery store, it has to be homemade or atleast tastes homemade). And I dont know what Olive Garden does to their chicken to make it SO DAMN GOOD ...but Its literally DELICIOUS. definitely one of my favorite chickens!! And their are ALOT of different chickens.....lmao. and then instead of having normal chicken alfredo with the classic fettuccine noodles... it's made with asiago cheese filled tortellini. Which is pretty similiar to cheese raviolis. So a chicken alfredo with cheese stuffed tortelloni.... I needed to try that ! And I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY I DID . I TOOK THAT FIRST BITE AND MY EYES INSTANTLY ROLLED INTO THE BACK OF MY EYES AND I SWEAR I WASNT THERE FOR LIKE 3 SECONDS . SO GOOD THAT IT CAUSED AN OUTER BODY EXPERIENCE. . now THAT Is how you know it's good. & OF COURSE between soup or salad, I chose my favorite soup Zuppa Toscana) and it came with 2 bread sticks . This meal was so great. And i was just so happy ... SOO GOOD THAT I HAD TO WRITE THIS REVIEW TO LET EVERYBODY KNOW HOW GOOD IT IS
