“Ali is an absolute ray of sunshine. I walked into subway after one of the hardest days of the school year, and all i really wanted was a nice turkey and cheese. He proceeded to take my order, asking me how my day was, and cracking light hearted jokes. By the time i got to the register, my day had gotten so much better. I even offered to pick up my baby daddys kids, and pick up a 7am-11 shift at work (thats how good it got). The bread was nice and fresh, lettuce crunchy, and turkey AMAZING (He even put the right amount of mayo). Usually when i see the money drain from my account, i feel sorrow and loss. But this time, seeing -7.99 from subway in owings mills get taken from my account, made me smile.“

“This review is long overdue. I don’t visit Sunny’s (the breakfast place) often because I usually don’t carry cash. However, when I do go, the service is always exceptional, and you can be in and out quickly. A breakfast sandwich will cost you about $5-$6. If you want toasted bread with butter and jelly, it adds an extra $1. Adding cheese will also cost an additional $1. Sandwiches start at $4 before you start adding the toasted bread, cheese and other things.

They offer muffins in flavors like blueberry, chocolate, and banana nut, as well as fruit options such as watermelon ($3), pineapple ($2), and melon. You'll find a variety of drinks from Everfresh to clear fruit juices. They also sell chargers, earphones, and other accessories.

If you want a small side of grits or something similar, it’s $3 for a small and $4 for a large. You really can’t beat prices like that. Some customers have complained about the lack of Apple Pay or card options, but I believe that if they offered those, there would be added taxes. You can think of it as a way to keep things affordable and simpler for both sides.

Additionally, if you want to add cheese to your grits, it costs $1, just like it does for the sandwiches. They will add sugar to your grits at no extra charge if you request it. Overall, you can’t find better prices than this compared to other breakfast places that charge more for basic items like toasted bread, butter, and jelly.“

“Vibrant place, wide selection of food. Spacious, seating is ample. I'd rate higher if it weren't for the aggressive and nasty bathroom attendant who repeatedly tried to pick a fight with me. Maybe it's a hostile work environment and she has to make herself feel empowered by taking it out on complete strangers. I have no idea. If you have to use the restroom, keep your head down and get in and out as quickly as possible.“

“There appeared to be only one person on duty at the time. She was extremely slow and appeared to be very distracted by the outside of the building. I approached the counter and began to give my order. The person on duty left the counter and proceeded to get a chair to prop open the doorway.
As I ate my sandwich the person on duty did this again with another customer. It was rather weird.“

“I live in Indiana and was tasked with ordering food for the reception after my dad's memorial service at Charlestown in Catonsville, MD. We were going to have someone pick up sandwiches from Costco but it would mean they would not be able to attend the service. I called some other places but received poor customer service. I remembered how much my dad liked Subway. My siblings took him there often. So, I called what I thought was the Subway next to the Giant by Charlestown but apparently I called a different franchise down the road and I'm thankful. I talked to a lovely woman who said she would have the owner contact me ASAP which he did! Peter (P.J.) was patient with me and helpful from beginning to end. He delivered exactly what was ordered and on time. P.J. responded to my texts and answered my questions promptly and provided the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. He really took a load off my shoulders and I am grateful to him. I highly recommend you support his franchise!!!“

“Treated the kids out to dinner. This was our first time eating at Charley’s. Walking through the door, Sophie greeted us with pleasant vibes… almost as if we were her regulars. Ordering process was fast and easy and food didn’t take long at all. Everything tasted hot and fresh. The cheesesteaks had the perfect portion of steak and the meat had a really good taste, seasoned well. The bacon cheese fries were phenomenal. For dessert, we had these little cinnamon & sugar bites which was served hot and fresh… just wish it came with icing to dip em in. Washed everything down with a mango and watermelon lemonade. Both were delicious and had real fruit pieces in it, freakin awesome! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning in the near future, but this time I think I’ll get double meat on my footlong steak sub. What you ask he does greatly.Unfortunately the older small guy in that location is not good and rude. Once he didn’t want to get Italian bread with herbs, he said they didn’t have it but when I decided to leave he found one and he always puts just few vegetables if you ask to put more onions he refuses and tells you that they only have those not more. This location is very close to me when I come and see that guy is working I usually don’t order and go to another location located 3 miles from there.“

“We pulled up 3 minutes after the establishment closed, but we saw the open light on from the road. The gentleman who opened the door to tell us kindly they were closed. As we walked away he opened the door and said to us come in and we will take care of you. We were returning off of a long commute from VA and everything was pretty much closed to grab a bite to eat. “Never being here it took me a minute to look over the menu. The guy at the register gave me a moment to look things over and then gave me some recommendations. Not just what his favorites were but asked me what type of things I liked and then narrowed down the options! I ordered the Spicy Cajun Chicken sub with Fries. The sub was amazing. Super delicious and had a decent kick. It was toasted to a great crispy crunch without being too hot. The fries were fresh, hot, crispy, and very tasty! I would recommend this place. “It's the only place that's open in my area 24/7 only half of the employees can understand what you are saying which does make it hard when trying to build my sandwich the way I want it but otherwise it's a good little place for a late night bite.
I saw others comments about the homeless people just ignore them and you will be fine they will not do anything because there is always a security guard that stands outside by them so they can't cause terrible

Vegetarian options: I think it is labeled what is and what isn't idk I eat real food sorry but I'm pretty sure I saw a little sign above what things where veg.

Parking: You can park next to the subway or on st.paul St. But on St.Paul you'll have to pay but I think the pay cuts off at a curtain time not sure I usually just walk there

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes there is a very easy to access wheelchair ramp it's kinda tight so idk if it'll fit no scooter type of chair but a basic roll n go would be fine“

“I just had the best sub I’ve ever eaten. I went in because I wanted a good hoagie. I was on the phone talking about what I was looking for in a sandwich and the gentleman working overheard me and suggested I try the Bootlegger assuring me he would hook it up …OMG. It was incredible! I wish I got his name to properly honor him but I will be back & hope to see him there so he can work his magic on another hoagie for me. He was so pleasant and really took pride in making a great hoagie and I appreciated that so much.“

“This is now the *only* Subway I go to. Frankly, I never went to Subway until I discovered this place. The ingredients here seem exceptionally fresh & I am never shortchanged on them. I kno older reviews have a lot of complaints about not getting all the ingredients, etc.- but that must have been under a previous management. It's why I always sort reviews by most recent first.I always have particular tastes w/my orders & there is one employee at this location who knows exactly how to make my sandwich and he is always there when I go. (I will get his name & update my review.) I get the Double Monster in a wrap (instead of a roll) w/specific choices (Beef, Bacon, Pepper Jack Cheese, Chipolte sauce & all the toppings except jalapeños). He puts the ingredients in a specific order that he knows will work best. And tho it is a challenge to get the wrap to roll around all those ingredients - he gets it done perfectly every time. It's an art to watch & everyone in the store stops to watch him do it. The other employee kindly calls him from the back to come out when they see me enter the store...b/c they know I would like him to make my sandwhich. The other employee has made my sandwhich & did a perfectly good job - but there is a special rapport I have w/the one who regularly makes my sandwhich. And we have fun while he makes it.I always leave a good cash tip tho I pay by credit card for the sandwhich. I do this in most food shops & restaurants I go to b/c I don't know for sure whether the employees get the full tip in the credit card. “I work nearby here and I often stop in to get food after work. The employees are very quick which is nice after a long day of work. I occasionally eat there, they have a fireplace which is great when its cold outside! I generally get a coffee here too which is convenient in the mornings esp with their breakfast combo. Emerald City delivers on that. The service has always been dependable and the variety of what you can get is fairly wide considering this is a one-person operation. Tucked away in the basement, this place is practically the definition of hole-in-the-wall. Its good, satisfying food and extremely convenient.“

That said, this location seems to be a bit above average - perhaps because of its location to downtown Baltimore and the touristy inner harbor. I couldn't find it at first because it is a smaller set of connected buildings within a larger set of connected buildings in the shopping center. The place was clean. The cashier was also making the food. My Food was ready at the specified time. The food was hot and delicious. There is plenty of parking because of being in a shopping center.“
