“I grew up in Lake Shore but live in Rochester, NY. This is our place to get a taste of Maryland when we visit! Always great flavor and huge portions. Additionally, friendly, helpful staff! As my 83yr old mom navigates cancer treatment and little appetite, her bright spot is the funnel fries and a cup of soup. We thank you for being patient with us on New Year's Eve as the last customers of the night! Forever customers!“

“First time my brother and I were here for St. Patrick's Day. The place was really busy, but the servers, bar tenders, and the rest of the staff were awesome. Someone was always available to take an order, clear plates, or come by to check if we needed anything. I ordered their calamari appetizer, meatloaf with mashed potatoes and bread, and my brother ordered their bangers sandwich. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We stayed for a while, and for the start of a live band, they had in for St. Patrick's Day. I definitely recommend checking this pub out if you are in the area.“

“A new spot that we’ve been trying to go here since it opened. Very “Octo” themed and has the decor to go with it. It has a nice bar downstairs with tables in the back. Walk upstairs and you’ll find a quaint room with more tables and a very nice separate bar for private parties or as an additional bar. Everything we tasted was great and the presentation was a delight to the eyes. You have to try the octopus ceviche and the ostrich tartar. The drinks were very tasty as well and everything was adequately priced. We’re going to add this spot to our dinner outing rotation and bring our supper club members. Definitely the best spot we’ve been to in the past year.“

Food is cooked to order, so.appreciate the brief wait, because they also provide friendly customer service. I usually check Instagram to make sure they are firing up the grill, and they seem to br wrapping things up by 4pm. Tip: add those caramelized onions to your burger! “Upon arrival, we followed the faux grass carpet into a clean and open dining area where the comforting voice of a sports announcer danced with smells of rich spices and tea. We ordered Mushakal (veg. stew) and baba ghanouj to split and were pleasantly surprised to have been offered each our own starter soup and salad, hot tea, and a hefty serving of hummus to match the ghanouj. Staff was warm and pleasant, and made us feel as welcome as bubbles in a bathhouse. Food came quickly and was very reasonably priced. Upon leaving, for a moment I was sure that I was walking on a red carpet as soft as it was well-earned, but as I rubbed my rose tinted eyes, it was clear that I stood upon that same strip of turf, humble as the pale moon. We were catching up when one of the employees came over and said that they needed the table. We could move to a different table. They had 8 people waiting to be seated. We left. “Saw this spot on Facebook and wanted to give it a try. When I tell you the food was delicious everything was seasoned well and fresh. Even down to the cookie which another customer suggested them to me and they were good also. We ordered the Apple butter wings that came with garlic parmesan fries and fried Brussels which my wife said everything was so good and tasted great even the wings were big and not some of the typical small wings you get from other places. I also ordered the make your meal deal with 4 wings, collard greens and Mac and cheese all were good and very well seasoned. Customer service was great and everyone was very friendly. We will definitely be a repeat customer and try something different the next time we go. “Have been to this pub three times and have been very happy with the food and service each time. The crab tots are a great appetizer and almost too good, as we ended up finishing that appetizer and struggling to finish our main courses. The sushi burrito was well prepared and fresh, although I wish it was a little larger. The sushi bowl, with the Smaltimore Bowl being my choice, was also great, with a solid portion of salmon and tuna and fresh ingredients across the board. The service was also top notch.“

“We had the best visit at IHOP today. Our server Abrea was on point, the meals came out quickly even though it was near the end of a Saturday brunch rush. It was really nice to see all employees happy, not just while at the table but when walking around. This says a lot about management making the restaurant a nice place to work. We spoke with the manager, Mohammed, to commend the staff and he was incredible and obviously takes pride in his restaurant and his staff. This is our new breakfast place!“

So $12 for a burger reminds me of that scene from Pulp Fiction where Vincent orders a $5 dollar shake and is questioning the validity of a five dollar shake.Shakes at 5Guys are like $7.So, is it worth it? “On the hill is my favorite coffee shop in Baltimore. Food & drinks are consistently good and reasonably priced. You can't beat $6.50 for a bacon egg & cheese bagel. They have online ordering which makes it super convenient to order coffee on my way to work. They also have those cane sugar sodas on draft which are so good if you are going on a coffee break, I don't know where else you can get a fountain cream soda.“

The service is timely, attentive, and very conscientious of making your experience great. Food was exceptional, good burger (oddly hard to find in Bmore), perfectly crispy wings, and fries and tater tots were also perfect. The steak was savory and slightly overdone for me but very good with the egg and biscuit. Bbq Lamb was the most interesting pairing well in a breakfast sandwich. I would have never thought to put lamb in breakfast. The chicken was good with some type of sweet sauce on it that was good on the biscuit alone.“

I think this was the best cheeseburger I've ever had! I also got a side of the hand cut fries that we also awesome as well. It was rather stacked having double patties. I'd normally never eat all that in one sitting, but it was so good I actually ate everything in one go! I ate the evidence.)Parking: There are many options for parking in this neighborhood. This particular side of the block on St Paul and (I think) fronting the restaurant entrance on 31st is metered. But the opposite side diagonally across from the entrace, the block behind it, and most of the surrounding blocks are residential permit zones where you can park for free for up to 2 hours if you are lucky enough to find a space. Just keep your eyes open for signs to clue you in on if you're scoping out a metered or permitted parking spot. If you're totally out of luck on finding a street spot, I think there is garage parking a couple of blocks up the street, but haven't used it myself before. Google will surely show any garages in the area.Parking in the evening at this location is easy. I was able to park right in front of their entrance and was in and out in less than a minute. I didn't pay a meter.During the day it may be a bit more challenging to find a space that close, but there is parking all around.I'm not sure how late they run, but whatever you do, it's worth it to pay the parking meters - at least during the day - to avoid getting an annoying parking ticket. This block is essentially part of the Johns Hopkins campus, so the "meter guard" is every active. The machines take coins, cards or pre-purchased passes.“

I could tell they had their act together.Orders were taken with efficiency. Two double shack burgers with fries and two chocolate shakes. The total of $65 with tax and tip was a big ouch!The meals pushed out within 10 minutes. Everything hot and tasty. “Great to see an old favorite open again! I hadn't been in Jerry's since the 90's but I used to love to go there when I was young. I think the place looks better now than it did back then. I got there later so I only ordered some chicken wings to eat and they were very good. The bartender Tom did a great job and later on, the owner David came out to spend some time with us. Any of you old timers, he looks just like his father Pete. We had a great time and look forward to getting back there again soon.“
