“It was late night, ordered take out. Seemed like there were only 2 employees working. Arrived 5 mins after ordering and had curbside pickup. No one ever came out. Waited a few minutes and went in. Had to wait 10 more minutes before getting my order.“

“With new ownership in place, I did not know what to expect. For a ward 8 resident and DC native, we take Sunday morning breakfast serious, and nobody wants to travel to PG, VA or cross the bridge for family breakfast. I have been to that IHOP at least 100 times, so I have seen the good and the bad times. I will say this, there is a noticeable difference in the customer care experience. From the attention to detail of the employees, the cleanliness of the restaurant (especially the bathroom), and the friendly staff, I was wholly impressed. I felt safe and ready to spend my hard earned money. I even tipped the waitress 50% because she deserved it. Hopefully the word gets out that it is a good thing to go to the Alabama Ave IHOP and the new owners keep this level of care for us the customers.“

“This place reminds me of Pura Vida Miami. The customer service here is great, really nice staff and ambiance! Just know it can take time to get your order. There’s a good amount of seating too if you wanted to bring your laptop. I’d suggest passing on the matcha, it was a hard sip, next time I’d order food/smoothies- which is what they’re known for.“

Also the food is delicious, there’s good variety and the seating is comfy. My only complaint is the water faucets were really hot last time I visited but maybe that was a fluke.

Ugh, I may need to move to Columbia Heights so I can visit more often.“

“I love this place so much! It’s a korean couple running the whole place and you cannot get food this cheap and good anywhere else.

The sausages and eggs in the breakfast platter were delicious. Seafood box had such a big portion for the price and the scallops imitation crab and butterfly shrimp were yummy! The scallops in the seafood box were especially meaty and fleshy.

The food was also not overly greasy at all and you can see that most things are cooked fresh and on the spot. The door has bars so it looks like they are closed but they arent. Cash only!!“

“The Chai is my latest obsession! Stopped in while visiting the White House and was blown away. The food was freshly prepared, hot and tasty. Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely frequent this eatery if I lived locally. For now, I am ordering their Chai online.“

“Didn’t have time to take a picture because I was ravenous but this place is great. We are here for a festival and needed a quick breakfast stop and Pancake House has been our choice for both days because they are so lovely. Food came out within 6 minutes, eggs were fire, bacon was fire, service was amazing. Staff is super friendly and kind. Definitely one of the reasons we came back.

First day I got dippy eggs with sausage and hash browns, second day I got French toast and a bacon egg and cheese. Everything was very yummy.“

“I have never been to a Crepe stand before but I will absolutely be back. I got strawberry and banana crepe and it was incredible. Perfect if you want something a bit sweet but not too heavy. I will be stopping bye again the next time I come through this airport“

“We didn't expect a great atmosphere at IHOP. Thankfully the pancakes are always the same - awesome. If IHOP has an issue it's that most every IHOP doesn't do special requests well. My bacon won't be very crispy even if I request it. Also, when I ask for scrambled light they come out scrambled hard like normal.“

“I came out of the metro stop on the way to work and saw this little unsuspecting shop. I decided later that day to go to lunch with my coworkers and suggested this place. There were quite a lot of people in line for these sandwiches, which was a very good sign already.
Reasonably priced and the KBBQ sub is STUFFED with saucy, slightly spicy meat and yummy pickled veggies. The turkey melt is also a popular favorite and my coworker liked it. It made me full for the whole day. I really want to try their bowls next time!“

“Came here for Breakfast, was greeted and seated very kindly. The place is clean and the staff has a welcoming attitude and everyone else in the store was getting along. I ordered the breakfast sampler and a glass of milk total rounded - $19.00. The food was delicious, served hot and quickly. Only thing was the bacon was a little bit stiff but overall in all with the milk 9.5/10. I feel like most all the service outshined more than food. The first thing we noticed as we got closer to the entrance was that all of the windows in this property had steel bars covering them. I instantly thought, "We will be completely protected inside if there is a riot between the police and gangs outside." The food is decent, service is fine, and it’s no frills no hassle. The big brunch steak burger that is topped with an egg and ihop sauce on a brioche bun is tasty, but could be a bit bigger. I also miss the corn beef hash they used to have but their omelettes are good. The maple syrup that sits on each table needs to be wiped cleaned more regularly. Our old fashioned syrup bottle was practically glued to the syrup tray. Clearly this location drums up a lot of charity bc there are tons of donation leaflets hanging from the ceilings. Ample parking nearby.“

“These burritos were a godsend.I was on day three of four hours of sleep, moving cross country, and had just unloaded the truck. This was the perfect blend of stick-to-your-ribs, quick, and delicious that I was looking for.I kid you not, the burrito has a weight to it when you try to pick it up. I got The Hangover, but I now trust this kitchen implicitly. Follow your heart and eat your body weight in whatever delicious burrito calls to you.“

“On 12 Dec, I visited the IHOP O'Donnell drive in forestville Maryland, this was the first time that I have experienced such poor service. I placed my order with the waitress Joybeth: a brown crispy waffle with the butter melted on the side, a Salisbury steak with onions and mushrooms in gravy and a cup of featured cocoa. I asked that my food and drink be bored out all at the same time. That did not happen... I first received a waffle that was not full and wasn't completed with butter cold on top, then I had to wait another 10 minutes for the Salisbury steak. So by the time my food came the waffle was cold I sent it back. When I finally got all my food I still had not received my beverage. I watched this young lady go to other tables... one guy asked for butter and he got it just like that. Another one asked for napkins, they got the napkins just like that, so I'm still waiting on my cocoa to go with my food. By the time I started eating the steak was cold. I left a dollar tip. Worst service I ever had in my years going to IHOP“
