“I love everything that Omar’s have to offer! I usually order online to pick up and it’s always ready on time or earlier. The platters are filled with delicious flavors. My favorite is the lamb platter and add chickpeas or corn. Pickled turnip is also great. Omar signature sauce + white sauce combo is so good I can take a bath in it!!! (JKJK) The employees are always helpful, working hard to get that fresh food out. This is our weekly dinner spot and I am lucky that they are right down the street from my house!“

“Very convenient and tasty, owners are very nice and willing to customize sauces, spiciness etc. I got the combo on rice and they basically gave me 2 meals worth in a nice microwaveable container. Cart is open till pretty late and located right outside the metro.“

“During my weekend stay in Washington DC I was able to visit the New York Grill twice.
Both times the food was IMMACULATE! I highly recommend the Lamb Gyro, and the fries were very good too!
Even with roughly a 20 Minute walk back to my hotel, the food comes out hot, and well wrapped, allowing the heat to stay within and keep your food warm for quite a while!
Overall, this was my favorite place we ate over the course of 3 days, out of about a dozen spots.
I DEFINITELY Recommend the New York Grill! Please patronize this great establishment, hell go 3 times a day if your budget allows!

“Chicken and lamb combo over rice with chickpeas is delicious! You can tell this food is made with love. Those chickpeas are the best I've ever had! Most food trucks make my tummy a bit unhappy, but not this one! Plus it feels like a good way to spend my money. Supporting local hardworking kind people while getting a delicious meal out of it is a win/win for me!“

“I love their chicken tenders.... seasoned and Krisp to tender perfection.!! Especially when they're hot..!! “My husband and I I came here for a date night LAST Saturday. We had a wonderful time! We had the Dal, buranee bademjan, and mantoo classic/ mantoo shrimp dumplings. All of these appetizers were delicious. We ordered the lamb shank for our dinner. We enjoyed the lamb but it was not as good as the appetizers we ate. We cannot wait to go back to Lapis!“

“The chicken sandwich was amazing! The chicken was super juicy and tender with a perfectly crispy coating. Every bite was full of flavor, and it wasn’t dry at all. The bun was soft and fresh, and the toppings balanced everything out perfectly. Hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had — I’d definitely recommend it!“

“They have a very unique specialty pizza with gyro meat that is amazing and unlike any other I have found. So yum. Also, when I had one bad delivery experience after usually good service, they went out of their way to make it up to me on the next order. Great pizza, (usually) good service, and a refreshing concern for keeping this regular customer happy. 👍“

“This is my go-to place for lunch when I'm at the office. The food is always clean, fresh, and delicious just the kind of meal I look forward to in the middle of a busy day. What makes it even better is the warm and excellent service. Dilcia, in particular, is always so welcoming and friendly she truly brightens my day every time I visit. Highly recommend for takeout or dine in (outdoor seating is my favorite).“

“Excellent kabobs, we had the lamb and vegetable and also the lamb shank. The platters are very generous with a whole plate of rice and a whole nan and side dish. Food ordered at counter and brought out to you. Staff are efficient and very pleasant. There is complementary tea besides water . Dine in tables utilitarian but kept clean.“
