“Been coming to this place for a few years now and it's my go-to spot every weekend to get my Chinese food fix. Occasionally, the taste might be a bit off, but it's good most of the time. The servers are very nice and affordable price. The cafe is kind of small but I like the quaint atmosphere. Will continue to come.“

“The Truffle Tori Shio Ramen was the best ramen I've ever had, hands down! The food here is delicious. I gave 4/5 stars for service because I think it's a bit presumptuous for a restaurant to expect 20% tip for a restaurant that literally doesn't have full table service -- I went for lunch and ordered and paid on my phone. I recall they say 20% will be added if you don't tip, and when you do tip the recommended amounts are 20%, 25%, and 30%.“

“I went to Jinya to celebrate my daughters bday. Our server was Monique and she was absolutely amazing. She smiled the entire time and she was so helpful. The food was quick and fresh and it was just all around a great experience

“If you are looking for a place that will actually give you flavorful spicy food you can find it at MaLa. So many places advertise spicy dishes but it always comes without it. The menu is huge but the dry hot pot is what makes this resturant unique. They use a combination of spices and you can pick the protein and vegetables. I opted to go with one of their signature combos rather than inventing it myself. It is made for two people so I had plenty of food dining alone.“

“If you’re in search of authentic Thai cuisine, look no further than this hidden gem. Tucked away like a best-kept secret, this unassuming spot delivers food that is as delicious as its artful presentation. Each dish is meticulously crafted by the talented Thai chef/owner, whose passion for authentic flavors shines through every bite. The flavor reminded me of homemade food in Thailand.
The service is impeccable, adding to the experience, with the server/bartender who made as feel like valued guests in a cozy, bright and cheerful space. In a neighborhood increasingly filled with gentrified spots, this place is a refreshing reminder of what real, freshly made food should be. I wish I lived here just for the opportunity to dine at this incredible restaurant more often!“

“Despite the rumor that I heard about the Spot's food being not so good. I tried out this place because it was very eye-catching and I was surprised that it is a very good noodle soup. The both was light, not too fatty and the beef tripe was quite flavorful.“

“What an awesome hidden gem! The food was reasonably priced, and the portion sizes were good. If you go, be sure to try the tonkotsu rice! It's a fried porkchop. It was so fresh and krispy. Also, Mon-Thurs, if you buy an entree, you can get a milk tea for only $2! It's a great deal.
The waitresses were super kind, they let us take the milk tea home in a to-go cup because we didn't know about the offer until the end. Usually, it's for dine in only!
The crepe was also tasty. It was made in front of us and the fruit was fresh too! We got the Banana Nutella crepe.
We'll definitely be back.“

“Omg, sooooooo good!!!! We ordered some
Specialty rolls, Classic Rolls, and Shrimp Tempura Udon. Everything was fresh and delicious. My 6 year old saw the beautiful presentation and declared he wanted to try some of the rolls. He’s always said no to sushi at other places, but said the food looked too good to pass up here. He also enjoyed the miso soup.
The online ordering process was easy and the pickup process was just as smooth.
Definitely, my new go to spot for sushi.“

Wish I took a picture! Visited here twice. If you go here, make sure to get SamSun Jjajang, which is like everything black noodles. I think this is one of the better ones I've tried in the DMV area. Solid jjajang. I mean, as long as they put a lot of ingredients for the price, I'd say it's pretty good. Oh and their Kkanponggi is good too.“

“I have eaten here thrice before. with my colleagues. I ordered the basil fried rice with vegetable and chicken. It was bursting with fresh flavors and wonderfully intense spiciness. Everything is so clean, and the staff is friendly and efficient! We were the last ones to leave and never felt rushed or like we were being a nuisance to the staff. I had a third, wonderful experience and i highly recommend it!“

“New restaurant with new owner. First-time customer. Ordered their lunch special. I asked for fried rice. You can tell an excellent by the fried rice. Surprisingly, the fried rice was top tier. Excellent fried rice comes with each rice grain freely separated from each other. Bad ones are ones that clump together like clay, wet n oily. I had the lunch special sit in the container for at least an hour, but it was still free and not clumpy. The dish was tasty as well. A real surprise. Real value to add soup with $1. But the hot n sour soup was lacking ingredients and was too watery for me. Hope it gets to keep its excellent chef n quality. There is no good fried rice around here. This one is a gem.
The place is mostly a storefront. Humble beginning. Will definitely try other dishes for times to come.“

“Excellent, fresh, flavorful food. A regional food I’ve never had and was happy to try. Lovely environment and owners are very friendly and grateful that you are there. I wish I had ability to order more items off the menu. I’ll definitely go back.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free rice noodles are excellent! There are a number of rice dishes and grilled meats“

“Very clean and great decor, instagram worthy!! The food was simply AMAZING. Authentic and full of flavor and quality. They make the bread buns for the burgers in house ?? I live 45 minutes away and will be back for sure. 100% worth fighting the traffic to get here and I mean that. Also they have some great drink options. The watermelon lime soda was so cute and very tasty!
Parking: Free street parking just behind the block it’s on“

“Fantastic, delicious, authentic food with quick turn around from ordering. The location is almost missable in this compact strip mall, but the ambiance is surprisingly nice that nearly helps you forget there’s a loud bustling street just outside. I highly recommend this restaurant as possibly my favorite Chinese noodle restaurants in the DMV area. Check it out. You will not regret it.“

“Amina Thai in Rockville is an excellent spot to relax and enjoy some delicious Thai food. Their extensive menu features a variety of dishes, catering to both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. I tried the chicken Pad Thai, and it was truly exceptional. The sauce was wonderfully tangy, and there was plenty of chicken—definitely a step up from many Asian restaurants that skimp on meat.
We also ordered the veggie noodles, which were decent but didn’t stand out. Overall, the prices are reasonable, making it a great value. The staff were friendly and attentive, enhancing the dining experience. If you’re in the area, Amina Thai is definitely worth a visit!
Dishes Ordered: Veggie Drunken Noodles, Chicken Pad Thai and Tofu Vegetable“

“Located in downtown Rockville, Maryland, Sichuan Jin Restaurant specializes in authentic Sichuan cuisine. My wife and I have been loyal customers for over 20 years, and our recent visit reminded us why.
Don't expect fancy decor or ample seating, but if you crave spicy Chinese food, especially Sichuan dishes, this restaurant delivers.
Sichuan Jin's standout features include homemade-style cooking with generous portions, making it ideal for intimate gatherings with family and friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Sichuan flavors through every dish.
During our recent visit, we ordered four dishes, including the delicious beef noodle soup and a dessert: crispy pumpkin cake with sweet red bean paste. A must-try! Consider try it before dinner – you won't regret it.
The price was approx. $50 per person, well worth it considering the generous portions and leftovers. Overall, I strongly recommend Sichuan Jin Restaurant for Sichuan food enthusiasts.
Parking: The town center garage parking is free within two hours.“

“I got the tonkatsu ramen. The broth was rich. The slices of pork were fresh, juicy, tender, slightly sweet, and abundant. There were at least 6 slices in that bowl. The assortment of vegetables and narutomaki added unique, delicious tastes and textures to the dish. Their food presentation is perfect. You'd have to see it to believe it. The ramen actually looks like it's straight out of those food commercials and restaurant food posters. All in all, it's a great place to eat.“

“Best pho around. I’ll start there!
Broth is flavorful and doesn’t just taste like water. Meat is fresh. (We always order the Tai #15) and bean sprouts, mint, jalapeño and lime are always fresh!
The water is not great so beware but if it has a lot of ice it helps lol. They do have other options to choose from as well. We normally get some soda.
The place is very out dated and kinda ran down. It is all men so you know they don’t care. There is a few guys that have been there FOREVER and are super nice. Some of them do not speak good English but they do understand.
Oh, they only take cash but if you do not have it there is a ATM at the laundry mat next door to get cash.
Weekends can be super packed as it’s a great hang over saver lol but durning the week it’s great!
Don’t judge a book by its cover! It’s really worth it!“

“To this day, this is probably the best place in the area for some Chinese takeout. This is the usual go for parties and always give us extra goodies from fried chicken, rolls, etc. Yet, most recently the food was a bit off… hopefully it was just an unlucky batch otherwise it would be a bummer to see this place go downhill.“

“Terrible place to enjoy Pho soup
I placed an order to take out, it turned out that when I got home they weren't even close to my order.
Due to urgency, go to that place
But if you want a good Pho soup, I recommend this one, which is 5 minutes from this terrible place. I'll share the address with you.

“I’ve been going here now for about 8 years and Passion Fin has the most remarkable sushi in the DMV. It’s definitely in my top 3 sushi restaurants in Maryland. I can tell the pandemic hit them hard and they now are closed on Mondays due to understaffing. Prices have been raised so I can only justify getting some during lunch happy hour which ends at 2:45. They have good Miso soups to go and they have mastered their packaging for carry-out. There’s a few tables outside where I often enjoy my food outside but whenever I’m there closer to 3pm the inside of the restaurant is barren.“

“I’d been seeing rainbow soup dumplings and wanted to try them so decided to order from Dumpling District. They look slightly larger in photos than they are in real life.
There are 6 dumplings - pork, Mala (spicy pork), chicken, shrimp & zucchini, crab & pork & lastly a truffle with pork.
They were lukewarm. I tasted the shrimp, which was the green dumpling. It was my favorite out of all of the dumplings. It was a nice flavor. Next I tried the pork, which was good; then the chicken, which tasted okay. Next, I tried the crab & pork, which was a good tasting combo and then the spicy pork, which was the reddish color dumpling. Lastly, I tried the truffle pork, black dumpling. I was most looking forward to this as I love truffle, but this one was my least favorite. While it looked cool, the flavor wasn’t there.
Overall, I like the idea of pairing the dumplings together so that one can try various flavors at once. Aesthetically it looks like such a fun dish because it’s so colorful.
Now, I also ordered scallion pancake with beef. Normally, I wouldn’t order beef, but I’m oh so glad I did. It was delicious!! The scallion pancake w/ beef tasted flakey, flavorful and hearty. The beef was well seasoned and perfectly paired with the scallion pancake. Although it was a little oily, I would order the scallion pancake again and pair it with an Asian-inspired omelet made at home, it was that good.
I’m looking forward to dining in at Dumpling District. I’m happy to see that there are several throughout the DMV-area.“
