“Our food was delicious and fresh! The cooks took their time and did not rush to get the order out quickly. I ordered Shrimp and mixed vegetables and my husband had the Salt and Pepper Shrimp. Both were cooked exactly how we like it! The meals reminded us of Chinese food in our home town NYC! We will definitely be coming back!“

“Don't know if we now have a new cook in the house. My Chef Special No. 20 Shrimp and Scalops with special chef sauce was devinely delicious. Egg Foo Young was especially thick and full with karge pieces of shrimp, chicken and beef. Our waitress is new to us, she is so kind and respectful. An A++ experience this time with this restaurant which has been in Waldorf for many years.

“This is the best Chinese takeout we have found in the area - we drive here from Waldorf to pick it up because it really is better than any other place we have found. The only one that comes close is Hunan Star in La Plata but this is still preferred. My husband loves their General Tso chicken and I'm a big fan of their Egg Foo Young. Portion sizes are large so we always have leftovers! Worth the drive to Manokeek!“

“Growing up in the area this place has been a treat for our family. Good memories here. Years ago, pre-pandemmy when the dining room was open, I used to go here with my pops on occasion. If you get your chicken hot and fresh it's CRISPY and nothing has ever come close to how good it is. The lady who helps you when you pick up a carry-out order is so sweet. Please tip her!! If you like General Tsos but want to branch out, get the sesame beef. It's my favorite dish. Panda Xpress' crab rangoons do not stand a CHANCE against Golden Star's cheese wontons. “I ordered hot n sour soup and chicken pad thai. The soup was delicious and had ingredients I had never tasted before, perfect 10 for the soup. The chicken pad Thai was awesome except for tiny egg shell pieces ruining the experience.Overall, it is a great place to order Chinese food. “Food is GREAT. I live down the street from this place and get food almost every time I pass it and I switch it up and get different things and they’re all good! Try the half and half tea it’s AMAZING make sure you pay with cash cause there’s apparently a 7 dollar fee for using card“

“Living in Waldorf for over 15 years and loving Chinese food, I've tried a lot of places, but Eastern Carryout stands out as the best around. Their food is consistently good and tastes great every time. My favorites are the fried and buffalo wings, pork fried rice, double-cooked pork, and General Tso's chicken. If you're in the area and craving Chinese, this is the place to go.

“Very fresh ingredients and home cook taste. My mom taught me how to cook Chinese food Hong Kong style and the chefs here are just as good. They always use fresh veggies and meats. I am always happy with everything I order here.
My FAVORITE:
1. Hot and Sour soup; it is a vegetarian style hot and sour soup with clean ingredients made to order. Each soup is freshly made not like some other places when they have a big pot of day old hot and sour who knows what's in it type.
2. The Singapore style Mai Fun with shrimp and chicken is also very good even though a little moist for my tastes but the fresh ingredients wins my tummy over.
3. French fries- it is greasy and crunchy as French fries should be.

“Me and my boyfriend come to this Chinese place every time we are in Maryland. We have been nothing but please when it comes to there food and service prices are fine. I guess cuz we live in Virginia prices are a lot higher out there than they are in Maryland so their prices is okay with us. We normally just order the usual 6 piece fried chicken fried hard with your fried or shrimp fried rice and their cheese steak egg rolls are the best can't go wrong.“

Parking: It is a small parking lot shared by the carryon and a liquor store next door. There is usually a place to park outside the carryout.“
