“Not often I leave a review but I absolutely love this place. The staff is so kind and the food never disappoints me. When I got my wisdom teeth removed, this place basically ensured that I ate a filling meal. Personally, this restaurant is my comfort spot and I look forward to always coming here. I normally get the pho and the spring rolls, and I've ordered it enough that the staff is starting to remember my order 😅“

“Happy Dragon is our favorite Chinese food in the area. It took a number of different restaurants before we discovered it. My family from Florida (8 of us) ate there and EVERYONE loved it. Servings are large, prices are fair, and lower sodium. The item in my picture is a C6.“

“We recently had two visits. My first meal of fried clams-delicious. On our second visit we had a lobster roll. Stay away from them. Absolutely awful. I’m a Maine gal and this was the worst lobster roll ever. Sterns- you can do better, especially at 38$ !!“

“My friend told me that I absolutely had to try this spot out. Not only was the view amazing the food was even better. We started off with steamers. The steamers were huge and so tasty. As great as they were the lobster flatbread stole the show. The cheese with the lobster was delicious. It was the right amount of crunch with the cheese and lobster being cooked to perfection. “I come specifically to Old Orchard Beach every year just to eat at The Bell Buoy. They serve the best seafood and are very closely located to the pier and beach. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the lobster is a huge selling point. Friendly staff, great food, good service, and a mere walking distance from many of the other attractions. I cannot recommend this place enough, and hope it remains open forever.“

The counter asked if we wanted drinks when we said No, she looked at me and said Absolutely no carry in good or beverages. We told her we would take it with us. She told us the state of Maine was very strict about bringing food or beverages in. She then asked where we were planning on eating the food, which I found to be a strange question. I told her the car. She told us that we were not allowed to eat on the property. This is the strangest thing I ever heard. I live in Maine. I eat takeout all the time and prefer and yes I sometimes eat in my car with my own beverage. The place smelled like fried grease and that smell is offensive to me , because the place smelled I wasn't expecting the food to be good, but it was surprisingly delicious. Excellent coleslaw. Too bad we weren't allowed to sit in the comfort or our car in thier lot, because my germs might infect all thier food. We drove to a nearby Wendy's parking lot to eat while we drank our own beverages. Oh, and nobody from Wendy's stopped us from eating outside food and beverages in thier lot.
I think I will avoid taking future visitors here in the future.“

“We've eaten at Rick's numerous times over the past 3 years and we've had delicious, fresh, haddock, scallops and clams every time!! The reason the atmosphere is a 5 star is because it's great to walk along the pier, grab food from Rick's, and then sit on the tables or benches along the center of the pier area. The fried food is cooked to perfection with a nice light colored batter suggesting they change their oil often. We recommend Rick's.“

“It was a busy Wednesday night in OOB and lots of places had very long waits. We took our chances on Myst and they were able to seat our group of 7 on the deck within 5 minutes although they were busy too. The service was excellent, we had Kaitlyn (sorry if I’m spelling that wrong) who was very attentive, the food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. We have eaten at a few local spots and this was so far the best.“

“My wife and I stayed in Kennebunk for a couple days this week and our first stop was The Pilot House. Elliot was upstairs on the ship and he was awesome, he gave us great recommendations for food in the area, and pointed us at the best things to try. 10/10 would recommend the Clam Chowder, and hands down this place is the best view in Kennebunk. Maybe take a light jacket for the wind up on the ship, but it’s an amazing view unmatched by anything else in the area. Lastly, parking in general in Kennebunk is difficult/expensive, The Pilot House has their own parking lot with great availability in our experience and is free for patrons of their restaurant/tours.“

“We had an 8 pm reservation, but it took a little time to clear the table from the previous diners (kids, some food on the floor), which was fine - we were with friends and enjoying conversation. We were seated at 8:15, and our server poured tap water. She said she'd be right back. It was ten minutes later when my wife mentioned to the hostess that we'd like to order cocktails. Five more minutes passed, and I asked another waiter to please have our server come to the table. Finally, twenty minutes after we were seated, our server took our entire order. We got our cocktails at 8:55, forty minutes after being seated. The food arrived at about 9:15. The cocktails were great and the food was delicious, so I'm giving the food five stars, but the service was poor, very slow. We've dined here probably forty times over the past fifteen years, and loved it every time - until last night. We recommended the place to our guests and they had not been before, so we were really disappointed at the service. Our server was perfectly cordial and friendly, but gave no explanation for the slow service. I hope it was just an off night, and our next visit will be back up to what we've come to expect over the years.“

“Best part: If you squeeze in between the desk and chair, you can sit on the floor right next to the (floor to ceiling) window, and it's like sitting on the edge of a cliff looking out over the Turnpike. The noise level is well-controlled, and it's quite peaceful looking at cars and trucks roll by from six stories high. Needs to be high room on the back of the West tower for this effect. Quietest a/c / air system in any hotel I've stayed in, and the controls were pretty legible. Bed was comfy and slept well. Some mystery spots on the coverlet. If you're a DIY type, take along a scraper and some paint and you can fix the peeling paint in the bathroom. Stay away from the breakfast, if you're not used to a mass-market diet, either way you'll do just as well at McDonald's. 'Fridge is useful if you want to lightly freeze things. If you want the good ol' days of a freshly-made bed every day, get on it immediately. We waited til day 3, and despite obediently ordering 24 hrs in advance, chaos still ruled when we returned at 6 pm. The same fellow running check-in eventually arrived with a few towels; we decided he was probably running the whole place on his own that night.“

“My family recently got takeout while on vacation! My husband went in for pick up and observed a clean spacious dining area while being greeted by friendly staff. We had a chicken tender basket; and the steak and cheese sub. Both cooked wonderfully and we left happy and full.“
