“Very nice all around. They were very accommodating and served us just before closing at 2:00 pm. We had arrived at 1:45 and they were pleasant and served us right away. We had great sandwiches and coffee which we both needed. We had had a difficult morning and hadn't had a coffee. Very pleasant and gracious.“
“The Village Tavern is one of the best restaurants in the Kennebunk area. The food is delicious. The lamb dish is extraordinary. The wait staff is friendly and professional. It has plentiful seating both inside and out and a bar area as well. Whenever we want a cozy, intimate dinner, we always head to the Village Tavern.. You can always look forward to a great meal and a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend going to the Village Tavern. You will not be displeased. Ken Kennebunk, ME“
“Been going there about four years with some of the family. Some of my family travels to Sanford every month from Old Orchard. I'm big on clam chowder. In my opinion it's the best clam chowder I've ever had. And I've tried a lot of restaurants who serve it. The service is fast and good. What I like a lot of the items come small medium and large. Which is good depending on your appetite. Easy going music throughout the dining room and not blearing ..,“
“Went on Monday and it was such a cute little place! The waitress was so nice and there was hardly any wait at all other than trying to decide what to have! So many things sounded delicious. I had eggs benedict and I was not disappointed! The pancakes are huge as well and they put so many blueberries. I would highly recommend going to check it out.“
“Perfect home town feel. Awesome chili. Can't beat the prices. My bf got the full belly clams with shrimp and a bowl of chowder. We both ate for under $40.Dietary restrictions: The only gf options are chili, hot dogs and hamburgers. Lactose free frozen yogurt and sherbet.“
“Our first introduction to Maine was at this unique roadside eat in or take out stand. The food was cooked to order by our host, and it was delicious! Nothing fancy here just good vibes, hard chairs, friendly folks and great home cooking. I had some haddock, cooked to order because of my wheat allergy and my husband had "911 pork tenderloin sandwich with Mayo horseradish sauce and provolone cheese. Yums all around!“
“I can't imagine I haven't posted a review for Sweet Memories yet. This is always my go to spot for breakfast. I live within walking distance. I can walk to breakfast if my body is having a great day otherwise I drive. When I walk inside the ladies always welcome us with a huge smile. The food is always on point, price is perfect. My favorite part about coming here is the restaurant reminds me of Cheers everyone knows you - maybe not by name but by face. The signs on the wall are fun. If you come in - in a crappy mood I always leave smiling. If a waitress is in a blah mood I bet you can give them smiles for miles. I just love these ladies and their hard work. They were my love for breakfast here in Sanford. My second is Mel's on Route 4 / Alfred Rd. You can't go wrong with either one.“
“My favorite restaurant, hands down. Never had a bad meal and the pies are INCREDIBLE. You can tell when a business takes pride in their food and service, and this place has it down. Waitresses are always friendly and efficient even when the place is jamming, which is pretty much always.“
“We had breakfast last weekend. The staff is always friendly and has great service. I prefer their dinner menu over breakfast but the food was still good. We have ran into their computer system down several times so you may want to have cash if you go.“
“I feel like this place needs a good 5 stars. I think it has gotten a less than desirable rep in the past but I can confirm it is not the place I knew growing up. The food was really good, did I mention 2 DOLLAR TACOS ON WEDNESDAYS! the pulled pork nachos were also great and the prices are very fair. Pool tables are in good shape and overall nothing to complain about.“
“had a great time Staff was amazing Amazing. Our server name was Lynn very very sweet and funny. She made our experience worth coming in definite character and team player. The only thing that I thought was unsettling was one of the managers his name was Gregg I believe. was disrespectful to the hostess, who we thought was great. Also, her name was Beth. She was an older woman very very nice. It looks like he was making her really upset by the way that he was speaking to her and I don’t think anybody should ever treat their staff like that. Someone needs to talk to him about how he talks to his staff especially when his customers are inside the restaurant other than that we had a great time. .“
“Dinner was wonderful they had live music and it was majecal the fire place was lit and everyone was so nice. Lots of local people made me feel at home. In my new town. I just move here. I had such a wonderful earning. Thanks to the gang at Oak Street.“
