She took time to explain to this uninitiated wine consumer the differences between wines, glasses, and tasting, as well as pairing with foods. Speaking of food, this was also splendid. We started with oysters, which was a first, calamari, pork belly, arancini, and focaccia that melted in your mouth. My main course was the Swordfish with sweet potato puree, fingerling, and swordfish "bacon" jam. This is a silent gem that I selfishly stays quiet for my purposes, but Back River Bistro needs to be visited by anyone who loves a small curated dining experience. Much success to Matt & Corrinna. “Lovely would be the best word to describe the Smugglers Cove. I traveled alone and had no concerns about my safety. The breakfast is very filling and will give you energy for the day. I was able to skip lunch, since my breakfast was so filling.
The dinner option that I chose was a lobster mac and cheese. It tasted as if it was done by a gourmet and it was loaded with lobster! Yeah. My room had a good view of the waters both pool and river. The staff and other vacationers were very friendly. Great place to go if your single or a family.“
