“Third year update - this place continues to delight and amaze! Tried the butter toffee cake, equally great. All the pizzas are spectacular.
This is the second year in a row we had an early dinner here, and once again it was amazing.
All the dishes have a special touch to them, something unique and delectable.
The pizzas are spectacular, with wood fired char on the crust. The sandwiches are equally wonderful, each with perfectly balanced spices.
My special of the day spicy martini was one of the best I ever tasted, potent yet eminently drinkable.
The desserts are out of this world, especially the brownie sundae.
The service was terrific as well. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

“We wanted Italian tonight and was pleased to find Cartellis North End right in Dover. Service was great. You can actually see the kitchen from anywhere you sit. Even though the place is small and noisy, the atmosphere was quaint and the food was delicious. I heard they give large portions, so we ended up each ordering appetizer and splitting an entree but still brought some home. Loved the spinach/artichoke dip. The chicken wings looked delicious but the penne vodka with shrimp dish was wonderful. Thanks for being so close to home and bedtime wishes to expand some day soon.“

“Nik and Charlie’s is the best! I was housesitting in the neighborhood and ate there four different nights. The food was great, and the service was even better. The woman who runs the front counter and the takeout phone is a delight. I wasn’t sure if I had been overcharged one time, and she very kindly showed me the receipt from my order that day and explained my confusion away and didn’t even make me feel bad about it. Superior customer service. It looks incredibly clean inside, and their BLT is really really good. I look forward to my next time getting food from Nik and Charlie’s.“

“After three long years (last year they were closed for renos, and the previous year, we landed on a Monday) we got to York 54 a half hour before closing, but the vibe and the flavours were top notch prime time !!
We shared the Beet and Blueberry salad and a Red Curry Thai pizza (did I mention this is my fave pie ever ?) and a Olive Branch pizza.
We left with grins on our faces ??? and we will be back on our next trip to Vacationland in 2025 !!

“I’m a foodie! I took my sister and her husband here for their 50th wedding anniversary dinner early afternoon. Wedge salad was fabulous ! Best I ever had! Pan seared Halibut with roasted veggies and Parmesan Risotto Was perfecto! 14oz rib eye with scallop potatoes and roasted veggies was cooked to perfection. My sister had the Bolognese with garlic bread. We will all go back again!! Haverhill, MA“

“We have been to this restaurant several times and decided to go to lunch with a friend from out of town. The restaurant has great food, the atmosphere is very inviting and the waiter was very attentive.
Parking: The parking lot is small out back but there is extra parking in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is popular but we always seem to find a place to park.
Wheelchair accessibility: My husband uses a walker and it was very easy for him to get in and out of the restaurant. Everything is on one floor.“

“Not many pizza places in the area serve slices anymore. Gigi's is the exception. I ordered two massive, crispy slices for under $10. They hit the spot after a long work week. I can't wait to custom order a delicious pie in the future.“

“This place is honestly great! Great service great food, and hot and fresh!!! I got the chicken ranchero sub, I took out the ham because I don’t like ham all that much, but then I added pineapple too it, made the sandwich so much better, there is also bacon and lettuce tamatos, and cheese on it!! 100/10“

“We were driving through while on vacation and chose this place based on its negative Google reviews, which all sound like they were written by people who were mad about something else. Not being mad about anything, we predictably had a great time! Staff is super nice, food was good, and the menu is huge and features some surprising combinations.
To share our joy, here's a picture of my husband and his $6 beer. (Where we live this is an $11 beer.)

“Went to Gibbs for the first time last night for dinner. Our waitress was so friendly and accommodating, offering to bring out my son’s food first so he could eat sooner (he’s almost 3). We ordered the grilled wings which were delicious as well as the Reuben and prime rib. Everything was good! Friendly and laid back atmosphere. Will come back again.“
