“How could anybody complain when we’ve just been through a pandemic - We’ve been through a shutdown, many thousands of people have died, schools closed & kids had to learn from home (and then had hybrid learning), many businesses folded & people lost their jobs, the job market changed & people worked from home - Prices went up considerably which made it much harder for some people to get by & many could not make it - I feel that it is remarkable that The River Tap & Grill has done as well as any restaurant out there - Kudos to the owners, the staff & to all the others who have made this possible -“

“First time here. I enjoyed the atmosphere so much that I forgot to take pictures! I had a peach-cinnamon mimosa, which was delicious! Tried the It's Cheesy flatbread. It was a great combo of cheeses , spinach and garlic! Highly recommend! Promise to be back and post pictures next time.

“Food was absolutely wonderful, tacos were some of the best I have ever had, shrimp seasoned and grilled perfectly. Fries crisp and hot. My friends raved about their food as well. Our waitress was friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely be back!

Parking: Location was a little tricky to find coming from the Maine Mall. The entrance to the restaurant was not marked.

“The shift supervisor, Nicole D, DESERVES ALL THE APPRECIATION. She’s amazingly sweet and generous and has made me a new friendly’s regular customer. After seeing her employee post on the Friendly’s Facebook page, I sent her a private message telling her it was my good friend’s birthday and, as a major Friendly’s simp, I wanted to buy him a Friendly’s hat. She quickly responded to me offering to not only give Mason a hat, but to set up a whole birthday table just for him. She asked how many guests we were expecting and what time/day we would be there and set up the cutest birthday table with balloons, decorations, and candy. She even made him a custom birthday card!!! So thank you, again, Nicole for everything you did. We all very much appreciate you 💜“

“I would just like to tell a very short story about how my friend Rex who is 65 years old he is a homeless man out of the Portland area. I took him in to Denny's in Portland to get breakfast on a cold Winter's day in January 2022. We ordered our food with our server who was very rude and after eating our cold yucky breakfast my friend Rex was refused a bathroom to use and then the manager came out and told us for NO REASON, to leave and never come back! It was the worst experience because all my friend Rex needed was a hot breakfast he doesn't bother anyone and never sticks up for himself or creates a fuss! So in looking for another breakfast place to eat we found IHOP in Portland and from the start of walking into that restaurant was so nice and clean the hostess was amazing and sat us immediately with a smile our server Bethany she was amazing so nice and kind she took our order and treated us like human beings she was not judgmental and she took our order the same way she takes everyone's orders with a smile and gracious heart! My friend Rex absolutely loves his fried eggs and his bacon so we now visit the Portland IHOP twice a week. I had told the servers about what had happened to us with our experience at Denny's and the server from IHOP told Rex and myself that we were allowed at IHOP anytime and that they would love to have us!! I can't even tell you how much this warms my heart knowing that I can take my friend who has fallen on some hard times into a restaurant to eat a very nice warm meal and have the best servers in the best wait staff around us! You are amazing IHOP and we love you so much! We will be there every Tuesday and Friday for bacon and eggs comforted by the graciousness and smiles of everyone in the restaurant at IHOP! Keep on being the most amazing restaurant in the world because from my point of view you absolutely are! We love you IHOP thank you so much for your hospitality!“

“We just left there after having the fried whole belly clams. Absolutely delicious! It’s the cutest place to hang out and have some great seafood. The staff is friendly too! We had gone to another(big)place in the area the night before and we were very disappointed . Luckily we found the Salty Bay! today! I love the seating out back with the beautiful view and the Tavern on site where they serve drinks is great. Nice set up! We’ll be back!“

“My daughter found this place online and we met her here recently for a Sunday brunch date. It was clean and spacious and our waitress was very attentive. We had coffees in front of us within a few minutes of being seated and once we ordered it arrived very promptly. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich as did my daughter. It’s a little on the pricy side but I don’t mind when the place is nice and the service is good. Would definitely eat here again.“

“Update: I tried their ribs and cocktails, which were much better than their steaks. The ribs do, in fact, fall off the bone, and the Lemonade was great. The fries were well seasoned. I am upgrading my previous 3 star to 4. Originally it was three due to the steak being completely unseasoned, I am unsure if that's what the steak is supposed to taste like but I will totally avoid the steak unless they show me that they season thete steaks.“

“Kid-friendliness: This Applebee's location is very kid friendly in my opinion. I have a 14 year old and my cousin has a 13 year old. We all went, me, my husband, our son (the 14 year old), my cousin and her son (the 13 year old) and had a great time!“
