“Guthries is hands down the cutest little nook in Lewiston! The vibe is speakeasy meets craft lunch and I am HERE FOR IT. They have a soft spot for vegetarian/vegan options without sacrificing the flavor, ask for their homemade hot sauce, you won't regret it. Everything is very fresh & made to order, and the baked goods are out of this world delicious but usually fly out the door long before lunch time, fair but sad for the late riser like me, lol Everyone that works at Guthries is kind and funny and friendly, 100/10 recommend.“

“Terry & Maxine's absolutely surpassed our expectations of a diner. We were impressed by the extensive menu, the portion sizes, and the flavors in the dishes themselves. Everything tasted homemade and authentic. We ordered the Mexicali Benedict (pictured), Irish Benedict, and side of French toast. For two, this ended up being a lot of food, so we brought some home. This was our first time here but know this will become a regular spot for us. And the staff were kind and prompt! Couldn't have asked for better.“
“I've always said that The Heritage is one of GR's best hidden gems. This restaurant is run by students at the Secchia Institute for Culinary Arts and offers a fine dining experience at a fraction of the cost. There are a few tips you'll need to pay attention to if you'd like to check it out. First, sign up for their email list so you get notified when their reservations open. They have extremely limited hours and dates that they're open (usually only two months throughout the year for a few days each week). The second thing to know is that your meal may take a bit longer than if you were to go out to a restaurant. Since it's a teaching environment, you may overhear instructors telling students how to properly clear tables, giving them tips, etc. and your food may take a bit longer to come out. All that said, if you can get a reservation for lunch or dinner at The Heritage, I highly recommend it. For dinner they usually offer a pre-fixe menu although it has changed over the years. I've dined at The Heritage several times now, for both lunch and dinner. If you have the time for a longer lunch, it's really fun. Nate and I went on their very first day of service during the winter 2024 session and it was great! You could definitely see some nerves, but we were enthusiastic and encouraging. We ordered a bunch of items from the menu: hand pulled mozzarella, chopped salad, shrimp bisque, pork curry, haute style beef, and two desserts. They start you with bread service, and they kept asking if we wanted more throughout the meal. The first few courses were spaced out appropriately and presented nicely. I LOVED the hand pulled mozzarella - it was flavorful and the baguette was perfectly toasted and not too crispy. I'd order that again. The salad was a huge portion and so beautifully plated, but it was a little lacking in flavor. I added some salt which helped. (In general, I have found most of the food to be a tad under seasoned for my taste, but they had salt and pepper shakers on the table). Our entrees took a bit longer to come out, but they were delicious. I preferred the haute beef, which was a perfectly cooked (medium rare) filet on some potato croquettes with delicious sauce. I did think it was interesting they didn't ask me how I wanted the steak cooked, but it was great. They also didn't offer a steak knife, but it wasn't necessary. The pork in the curry was super tender and cooked really nicely. Dessert is displayed on a cart that they bring around which is really fun. We went with the mocha latte torte and the raspberry passionfruit torte. I loved the mocha latte torte as it reminded me of tiramisu. In lieu of tips, an 18% service charge is added to each check and this money is put into scholarships that go back to the students. They also provide a comment card that you can give feedback on at the end of the meal. If you are a patient and kind foodie with a bit of time on your hands, definitely try to make it to The Heritage for a meal!“

“My wife and I go here every year for our wedding anniversary, which is now going to be thirteen, and we will continue to go to Fishbones because we love this place. The menu is always filled with delicious recipes, and the staff is always excellent, and we do love the romantic atmosphere. Highly recommend to all foodies.Parking: At peak hours, finding a spot is a little difficult. Might have to walk a little.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is.“
“Solid food, particularly for a mall. Funny little space with a cramped full bar and maybe ten or so booths. Bar was packed at like 1:30 on a Wednesday afternoon on Xmas break. Mall barflies, am interesting derivation. Service was great and fast - despite there seeming to be only one server for the entire place - and the drinks were STRONG. Hence the bar full of local alcoholics, I guess. Would eat there again. Had like a veggie wrap, someone had fish and chips, someone had chili, another French onion soup, and steak tips. Everything decent to solid. The chili was respectable. The side of pickled beets they offer as a choice was surprising and delicious.“

“On 12/29/23, I attended a private party, organized by my daughter and son-in-law. The end of the year 2023 marked their 10th anniversary and I can't imagine a better place to celebrate their love, than WillowsAwake. This is a beautiful venue that offered a good service, friendly atmosphere, and excellent food. I loved everything about it and definitely will visit it next time, I'm in Maine.“

“I ordered a chicken tender dinner basket and it was literally some of the best tasting chicken tenders I've ever had. The fries had that real potato homemade taste. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp. The waitress who handled my order was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I will absolutely be ordering again.“

“This was my first time visiting. It was a Friday night. The place was packed, even still, the wait was quite resonable at around 15-20 mins. But they give you a pager so you can go to your vehicle if you'd like. They have an entire gluten-free menu and dedicated fryer. Portions are very generous. Our server was lovely and just very friendly and knowledgeable. I had gf chicken nuggets and ff. The food was tasty. I will definitely go back.“

“Only reason service wasn't ? is it was super busy. Great atmosphere. Amazing crowd in there! Loved the shirts ? that said, " The locas eat here". Really choice cuts of meat on the menu. I am extremely pleased with the chefs ??. Cooked my steak exactly as asked. .. You don't need a steak sauce at this place!!! It's seasoned and cooked perfectly when delivered. And I was there on a Wednesday and the place was packed!!That only happens if the staff know what they're doing and treat you right.I'd recommend it to everyone. I'd also not tell anyone.. cuz it's a little slice of heaven people don't need to ruin. Out of state people have a tendency to do that.“

“My wife and I don’t eat out often due to our dietary restrictions. We both have celiac, so gluten can make us very sick. Our server, Amber had met with the Chef and hostess ahead of time. They worked together to plan a meal we could enjoy safely. Sedgley Place made gluten free bread, and deserts for us. Amber was able to answer all of our questions at the table, no need to run and ask the chef! The service was every bit as amazing as the food.Dietary restrictions: Gluten FreeDairy Free“
