“Dockside is one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph! I've shot many weddings there and I've loved every one of them. The staff is top notch, the grounds are beautiful, and view is unmatched, and during your reception you'll probably be visited by a nosy great blue heron. He's popped up at most of the weddings I've shot there. There are so many wedding venues in Southern Maine, you probably can't do any better than Dockside.“

“Came from out of state with the wife and no kids for a long weekend. We specifically were looking for a dive bar. Navy yard was recommend by our hotel check in girl. She said “I don’t know why anyone would go there”. So we went. And we were disappointed. It wasn’t a dive bar at all. The pool tables were in good shape the staff was super nice and the patrons were very friendly. I will come here again next year when we visit again.“

“Traveled out to Portsmouth from Wisconsin. Sick of seafood, best burger I have ever had on the east coast. Lots of tv’s to watch the games. Friendly people. Highly recommend you give it a try. Will try their lobster roll though before leaving. Had some delicious apple crisp for desert.“

“I was planning to go to a different downtown restaurant and walked in to this one as it started raining. The waitress took every effort to ensure our dietary requirements were taken care of. They had quite a few veggie burger options. We picked The Cool Beans, which came with a black bean and corn patty. She was quite transparent with the fact that they used the same fryer and oil for frying meat,veggie appetizers and fries. So, she substituted fries with freshly sliced avocado. The burger itself was thick and juicy. We ordered a PB& Chocolate milkshake that capped out dinner. They went out of the way to limit cross contamination. Will definitely return.“

“I couldnt believe the outside of D Street (Daniel Street Tavern) today. It has an outside seating area (very clean and welcoming) as well as a NEW Food Menu. I couldnt believe how tasty the 1/4 pound lobster roll was (came with Coleslaw, pickle and small bag of chips) for $20. The alcohol free Bloody Mary was spicy/tasty and a good addition to the role. They have many deals on alcohol but also lots of non alcohol options (pop, juices and non alcoholic beer). Place is very clean and server VIVI is on her Game!!! So much more then a Dive Bar!!!!“

“We had dinner at When Pigs Fly Restaurant & Pizzeria in York, ME with a large group of 12, and the entire experience was outstanding. Despite the size of our party, everything was handled smoothly and professionally.

A special shoutout to Daniella, who provided exceptional service throughout the evening. She was friendly, attentive, organized, and made sure everyone in our group was well taken care of from start to finish.

Our table shared several pizzas, and every one of them arrived perfectly prepared, hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. While most of the group enjoyed the pizza, I decided to be the odd man out and ordered the blackened salmon sandwich with fries. It was excellent—the salmon was cooked perfectly with great seasoning, and the fries were a perfect complement.

Whether you’re dining with family, friends, or a large work group, this is a fantastic place to enjoy a meal. The food, atmosphere, and service all exceeded expectations. If you’re in the York area, When Pigs Fly Restaurant & Pizzeria is a must-visit. And if you’re lucky enough to have Daniella as your server, you’re in for an even better experience. “I always love coming to the Pink Bamboo. The servers are so kind, the owner is amazing, and the quality of ingredients is perfect. I always leave here so incredibly full and happy. We’ve been coming here for at least 4-5 years and no other hot pot can compete. They may have a smaller selection of broths, but it’s worth it for the quality. “We had the best time here on an unexpected stop during a road trip. After driving all day from Vermont on a road trip back to FL we stopped in this little gem and before we even got into the doorway we were greeted enthusiastically by the owner Tony. The waiter Johanna and Tony guided us on how to order our very first lobster roll. We spent the evening laughing and joking around with them. “One more stop lobster dinner before heading south out of Maine. Went with the cold lobster roll this time. Was very good. I ordered the special. Lobster roll and clam chowder. Glad I did. Clam chowder was creamy as I like it. We sat at the picnic tables outside for a little while and took the rest on the road. Bae’s onion rings were really good.“
