“Pretty good food and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server was a spectacular. Unfortunately the bar service was slow so our server had to apologize 2 or 3 times for not delivering our cocktails earlier. They took quite a while. My margarita was too tart for my liking but my hubby enjoyed his (some spin on an old fashioned)
It seems the menu selections are not really for your average Mexican cuisine diner. A bit pricey for no reason at all. I probably wouldn't come here again by choice but if someone else invited me, I'd return.
My husband got the half chicken and I got the steak, both were pretty good and came with veggies and house made corn tortillas which were great for making little tacos. Use the accompanying salsas on the menu, they boost the flavor of the entrees. Parking around this place is not the easiest.“

“My cousin wed their beautiful bride last night and their original post wedding brunch location fell through at the last minute. Groups of us came through right as Supergeil opened. Now let me tell you, they moved mountains to host our celebration. The food was incredible and the warm hummus was some of the best I’ve ever had. Thank you thank you thank you for today! Cheers 🍸 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“I have gone to the Whitney every year for Christmas dinner. It was annual holidays to celebrate with my nieces. Last Christmas holiday we chose to take the buffet. I was extremely disappointed. All I wanted was prime rib. The server was not very friendly. She stared at me and I was very uncomfortable when I asked for the prime rib only. There was just a small end piece and she gave me a very thin slice close resembling lunch meat. I don’t understand since I paid for a complete meal and it wasn’t cheap. I could’ve gone somewhere else and had a wonderful prime rib dinner. The au jous was not warm, so that was very disappointing. I will never do the buffet again if it’s like last year. In previous years, I’ve attended the buffet and it was outstanding.“

“Absolutely 100% recommend Nemo’s! We’re here for tigers opening day and I am breastpumping. I asked if they had a room I could pump, although they didn’t have a secluded area for me, they let me pump in this back area. Thankfully I had a wearable pump so you can’t see anything but one of the bartenders brought me a water & a hotdog and was just the sweetest man. Truly thankful for their hospitality! So very sweet! Above and beyond!“

“This is a small, but cool vibe old-time neighborhood bar. Came here with a group to see the Brother Crowe band who are an amazing and gritty, bluegrass-leaning Celtic Roots powerhouse band. You grab your own drinks from the friendly and efficient bartenders, the menu had some great choices and everything came out hot and delicious. The band rocked out and everyone there was really getting into their high energy music, singing along and dancing. I hope I get a chance to come back again!“
“Had a work event here and I celebrated my birthday this past weekend love the vibes. Enjoy the fact that you can hang out inside or hang out outside but still enjoy the music. That drinks are not super expensive. Parking isn’t too hard to find in the area quick easy spot to access other bars.“

“Hi. My wife and I recently visited Stadt Garten in Detroit and had a fantastic experience thanks in large part to Diego. He is the buyer and was working behind and he deserves recognition for being knowledgeable, friendly, and super helpful.
From the moment I walked in, Diego made us feel welcome. He clearly knows the beer, cider, and wine selection inside‐out. I asked a few questions about what’s available, and he guided me through options with enthusiasm and patience, and never making me feel rushed.
His service was top‐notch: attentive, always ready to offer suggestions, and quick with drinks. The vibe at Stadt Garten is cozy yet lively, and having someone like Diego really enhances it. He adds personality and warmth.
If you’re headed to Stadt Garten, make sure to say hi to Diego. Whether you’re a beer, cider, or wine lover, he’ll get you set up with something great. Can’t recommend enough!“
“Orange Peel Theory is hands-down one of the best summer drinks I’ve ever had. The blend of Holiday Spirit Epsilon Tequila with coconut, orange, and citrus is insanely smooth, refreshing, and just the right balance of tropical and tangy. It’s like a beach vacation in a glass. I’d serve this at every campsite, tailgate, and backyard hang if I could—absolute 10/10!“

“Came here for a night out with my fiancé and ended up having a blast. They have all the old school games, which fills up my happy little old-school heart. The bar was amazing, and the drinks were fantastic. I will definitely be back as I still have a crap ton of coins. The only con I have is that there's no tickets or prizes for winning the games.“

“Absolutely enjoyed our time here., we were just passing by and found this place. Wish they had locations in other states or at least ship their Bourbon.
Loved their drink menu and their bottles, labels and design.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re near the area.“
“Last Chance Saloon in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood is a hidden gem with serious vintage charm. Step inside and you’re transported to a laid-back, 1970s-style hangout, complete with dim lighting, retro décor, and a playlist that sets the mood just right. The bar serves up nostalgic cocktails like the Wisconsin Old Fashioned and the Blue Hawaiian, alongside a solid selection of affordable beers and whiskeys. With friendly bartenders, a cozy atmosphere, and a welcoming crowd of locals and newcomers alike, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay for one more round.“
“Meantime offers a bespoken experience for the serious beer aficionado & creative cocktails while still having a cheap coors on deck for the casual. A Sleek n Simple design on historic bones with everything from barstools to my favorite seat- the plush couch in the living room area beside the huge glass panels that open up allowing in city energy & air. A stone's throw from LCA for a drink b4 the puck drops or music events. Parking can be daunting during special events but there's decent access to metered street parking(get the app) n parking lots around. Lots of regulars stop in & also great for couples & 1st dates. Best for last!! Meantime had a big beer mug to fill in replacing the former 8° plato beerstore; Meantime delivered chill and elevated. A kicka$$ crew, offers 2 Rotating hand pulled beers(MUST TRY) big ABV stouts(my 🍺🖤) amongst the best from MI to Germany, food pop-ups, big TV to watch games and cool merch. Flowers throughout. May Meantime go for a Longg Time ✌️“

Like a cheers atmosphere you wanna go where everyone knows your name. Ms Krystal is sweet and loving and people be dressed to impress there. TV's seating 💺 ♥️ people call it a "hole in the wall" but those same people be in attendance "lol They come from all over the city to this place you must get there early on Sunday nights cause DJ Tony Rome be on hot blazing 🔥 fire. “We had drinks here today and my vodka and cranberry only cost $4.50ea (as of 09/26/23) which is the cheapest I’ve found in a while! And the bartender who is also the owners daughter is super sweet! “I was in Detroit for a business trip, and looking for a place to relax en femme (my thing). Other CDs advised me to go to Adam's Apple. For a gurl, it is the best place EVER! I was there two nights, and could not believe the number of gurls there, men also (not enough or too shy to my taste, but that is another story). You go to such bars for the people, not the place, and it checked all the boxes!“
“A group of about 10 of us stopped in on a Monday for happy hour - there was a nice crowd, music was playing, sparsely decorated. They have a great patio right on Woodward which is why we came, but it ended up raining. Although only one bartender was working, cocktails came out fast and tasted fresh and good. They have an interesting n/a mocktail made with homemade cordial and soda - I didn't try it this time, but it's good to know they have an option other than soda and lime. The aperol spritz looked good as did the spicy margarita. A good place to catch a quick drink.
They have an interesting food menu - sushi during the day and late night, and bbq for dinner. Maybe a little odd, but I remember when this place was Oslo and had the best sushi, so maybe it makes sense? I'll have to come back to try the food. Everyone working has also been really friendly, so I'd come back. An excellent location if you work downtown.“
“A perfect nice, clean corner bar.Great atmosphere and fun times.“
“I recently visited the hand roll Japanese restaurant located in the newly renovated Book Tower in downtown Detroit.
The standout dish for me was the Sushi Dog—a fried sushi rice roll filled with crab meat. It was not only incredibly tasty but also impressively creative, offering a fun twist on traditional sushi. Another highlight was the sushi balls, which came as a set of four: salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and avocado. Each had its own unique flavor, beautifully presented and perfect for sharing.
The hand rolls were excellent—fresh, flavorful, and made right in front of us. I also enjoyed the Tamago Sando, a Japanese-style egg salad sandwich that was light yet rich in flavor, definitely a must-try.
The only disappointment food-wise was the Yaki Soba; the noodles were overcooked and lacked the depth of flavor found in the other dishes, making it my least favorite.
Unfortunately, the main issue came at the end: we were given a happy hour menu, but when the bill arrived, everything was charged at full price—double what we expected. That mix-up definitely left a sour note on an otherwise enjoyable evening.
Despite that, the quality and creativity of the food were strong enough that I’d still consider returning—just with a little more attention to the bill next time.“

“Bodega in Detroit is such a gem! The drinks were spot-on—creative, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere had that perfect mix of energy and charm, making it a fun spot to hang out without feeling overwhelming. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier—welcoming from the moment we walked in and genuinely attentive throughout the night. I also loved the cute market inside—it adds a unique, cozy touch you don’t see everywhere. Can’t wait to come back!“

“Our bartender, Nick, was fantastic. He not only makes a wonderful drink, but is informed regarding all the great spots in the city and knows how to recommend a good drink. If you go, try his Vieux Carre. If you like a good old-fashioned this is similar. Just delicious!“

“I was a first timer. I live 58 minutes outside of the city. I walked in and was skeptical on the entire place. Full of random pictures of musicians. So I Looked up what the place was about after we got in.. And boy Howdy, what a history on the place. From walking in and greeted by Charles, the Bouncer/host/busier, amazing person, was a rock star! To then asking if Larry the owner was there; and HE WAS!!! They make you feel as family! I would support them 150% in the inner city, everyone there is something special. I’d love to talk with Charles more, and Larry; WOW! What a cool guy! I just love it. I’ll be back for sure! 10/5 stars for them!“
