“This was my first visit, even though I've driven by the place a hundred times. I caught them just before kitchen close, but they cheerfully took my order. I have the fresh Perch special, which was incredibly good. The place is a bit small, so it was a little loud when I was there. Did I mention the staff were so pleasant. I plan to make the Pour House my go-to place when I'm out that way”

“This place is magical. My husband and I stayed here 9 years ago and again this last weekend. And it was just as perfect. David, the innkeeper, is amazing! He really makes sure you feel special. The chef that prepared breakfast served a beautiful eggs benedict. Not to mention the lovely brunch with Santa event that we were lucky to attend, the food was awesome. Oh, and the wine is outstanding.”

“We stopped in after getting our Christmas tree from Kolariks Christmas tree farm just before noon on a Saturday. Rookie parent move, we had promised our 2.5yr old a sprinkled donut however when we arrived the case had been wiped out by the busy morning rush. The sweet lady working overheard us talking and offered to make our son a fresh sprinkled donut. Her kindness and delicious donut made his day! Also highly recommend the pumpkin cream cheese muffin and lemon poppyseed muffin! Thank you Chimoski Bakery!”

“Fischer's locally known simply as "Happy Hour" is an absolute gem. Family owned it has an old townie feel to it, nothing fancy but everything works. The service is top notch, and extremely friendly. I love going to Happy Hour because it just feels so cozy, you don't find places like this anymore. Can't recommend it enough!”

The owner came over this morning and talked to us for a while. Super place to go. Went back and had a burger this evening. WED-FRI 4pm - 8pm - evening burgers. Everything we have had is GREAT!!!!! “Green Bird is a little slice of Heaven! They even practice sustainable farming via their “flerd“ (flock of chickens and herd of sheep) who rotate through each row of vines. I sat down and immediately signed up for the wine club because I knew this was something I wanted to support! And yes, the server was new this season but very knowledgeable and warm. No high-brow wine snobbery here! P.S. wine and cheese pairings are fantastic.”

“We have had many great meals here and have always gotten great food but tonight the service was exceptional. I’m embarrassed to say I don’t remember the name of our server but she seemed to be the most experienced server there and despite being very busy made sure we were well taken care of. She put up with my husband’s humor and made us feel appreciated and welcome. She didn’t make us feel rushed even while we enjoyed our drinks as they were clearly getting ready to close. Thank you!”

“Owners chatted us up. Cool mist on a August day first westerly from BigBlue. Also some east off west GT bay. Flowers grew like crazy, plants health. We had the MaLbec each time. Told friends owning Local Pour downstate in Sawyer Michigan along west coast and now they carry it.
We normally stay in TC. Find us a two bed place close to you and we will stay a couple weeks!”

“Melinda took such great care of our group. We are Fizz Club members but our kidults and their partners had never been. Melinda took lots of time to explain the various sparkling wines and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very attentive despite it being a pretty busy afternoon in the tasting room. We stayed way longer than our reservation but never felt rushed out. Such a great place!”

“Love this place! The coffee is perfect and people are nice. But for the life of me, why do you close at 2? I watched dozens of people coming to the door at 2 only to be told they're closed. People want coffee till 4 p.m. at least, maybe later. Why have a seasonal business that only opens 6 hours a day?”

We even had some car troubles and they were super kind in trying to help us out and let us stay even after close. Could have not had a better experience here. “We are locals and frequent Hawkin’s Farm Cellars a lot. The service is friendly and the Thai food is exceptional. My husband especially loves the Pad Thai chicken and I am a huge fan of the Green Curry dish. You could literally close your eyes and just point to anything on the menu and never be disappointed!”
