“At a recent family birthday celebration, I needed appetizers at the last minute. I went to the right people for help! It was no problem for Kal and Ann! They cheerfully made fresh batches of delicious hummus (two varieties) which came with chips and pita bread. I served that, along with two kinds of their fabulous soup, to my dinner guests. Everyone complimented the delicious food Kal and Ann prepared. If you haven’t tried KAL’s Lunch Bowl, located in the Royal Oak Farmers Market yet, I recommend it. You won’t be a “just another customer” ~~ You’ll be a FRIEND!“

Whenever we go to a different city, I always try to find at least 1 new plant based dish to try. I try to pick a smaller business and a place that has something unique. Detroit area has some outstanding choices for plant based food - more than a lot of cities. I would recommend More Life Foods as a top choice for a vegan, vegetarian, or an omni. I'm going to try to convince the boyfriend to swing through on the way back to Ohio so I can get another gyro.“

“I stopped by the Olive Garden in Rochester Hills recently, and honestly, it felt like stepping back in time. The place looks old … not in a charming way, but more like it hasn’t been updated in years. There’s definitely a sentimental side to it, especially for someone who used to love Olive Garden, but that feeling can only carry so far.

The chain’s overall quality seems to be slipping. From the service to the food, everything felt just… average. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. You can still count on the breadsticks and salad to do their job, but beyond that, the dishes don’t have the flavor or consistency they used to.

It’s a 3-star experience for me , mostly for the memories, not the meal.“
