“At a recent family birthday celebration, I needed appetizers at the last minute. I went to the right people for help! It was no problem for Kal and Ann! They cheerfully made fresh batches of delicious hummus (two varieties) which came with chips and pita bread. I served that, along with two kinds of their fabulous soup, to my dinner guests. Everyone complimented the delicious food Kal and Ann prepared. If you haven’t tried KAL’s Lunch Bowl, located in the Royal Oak Farmers Market yet, I recommend it. Whenever we go to a different city, I always try to find at least 1 new plant based dish to try. I try to pick a smaller business and a place that has something unique. Detroit area has some outstanding choices for plant based food - more than a lot of cities. I would recommend More Life Foods as a top choice for a vegan, vegetarian, or an omni. “The chicken and gnocchi soup was delicious, I'm glad that it comes with free refills. Unfortunately the restaurant was experiencing a breadstick shortage so we couldn't get breadsticks until after our entrées had arrived. My entrée of chicken alfredo with broccoli seemed like they forgot to actually put the Alfredo sauce on the noodles (see picture), so that was disappointing; however the grilled chicken slices on that entrée were good.“

The fish was well cooked and seasoned, the chicken was great with nice sized tasty shrimp. Everything was clean and the cashier was nice.
