The wines were a delight and the steak and salmon were prepared with artistry. He guided us with each entre and the salad was shared by us with dressing aside. With no way to catch the big game at home, CJ Mahoney's was the perfect destination. Nestled in a cozy booth, we had our own personal TV, the perfect setup for an immersive viewing experience.

We kicked off the game with a classic Supreme Pizza, a cheesy, saucy delight topped with a colorful array of ingredients. While she sipped on a couple of refreshing 7 and 7's, I opted for a crisp Diet Coke. Later, we indulged in a flavorful cheese Quesadilla, a cheesy, crispy treat that hit the spot.

Despite the packed house, the staff handled the crowd with impressive efficiency. They were friendly, attentive, and kept our drinks flowing.

CJ Mahoney's has become our go-to spot for game day. The combination of great food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere makes it a winner in our book.“

“Just left and wanted to write a review ASAP! Took my guy here for his birthday. We went to the bingo brunch. Even though there weren’t many people there at 10 am the bingo host played the game and awesome music in between each number being called. We each won bingo and got some fun prizes - shirts and games. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for playing games. The hostess was very welcoming. Our server was sweet and attentive and the food and drink were fantastic! What a gem! Can’t wait to come back!“

“I went to Time Out on a Friday night around midnight in search of some late night grub. It seemed as if this was the only place open in Waterford! I tried the chicken fingers and fries, and they were great! ?? You might say how hard can that be to cook? I've been to other places that it seemed like I told them to cook a dinner impossible. Anyway, the waitstaff was awesome and attentive, plenty of TV screens, there was a great dj spinning that night as well. About 30 people came in not too long after me and atmosphere livened up considerably. The Time Out is definitely a vibe! “So nostalgic, my dad owned this restaurant bar back in 1993 when it was 4th St Bistro & Señor Froggs, so being back here and seeing it flourish truly makes my heart happy! The atmosphere is absolutely fabulous, and the service was quick and friendly from the moment we walked in. “We went on Thursday for the Burger (3-6 pm) night. $9 for burger / fries and drink. The burger was a single patty but very thin. But the price was right. It would be a poor burger value at full price. Cosmik fries weee awesome as usual. The brownie dessert was great. Service was excellent by the bar tender aunt Royal oak. Bar Louie nearby on Main St has a huge burger on special on Tuesday nights.“

“I took my two son’s here today. My youngest has autism and others’ kindly describe him as “a handful.” Accurate. The server comes over and asks for our drinks. She brings them back and my son just throws the cup across the aisle. And then laughs. Autism is super fun like that. Lauren (the server) was super nice about the mess. Another female server cleaned up the milk. They were both very understanding and it helped so much - probably more than they realize! “I've always had a good time here the handful of times that I've been. Bartenders are always great and the vibe was chill with an array of different characters. Very easy to lay low and keep to yourself but also any time that I've mingled with other patrons they've always been pretty cool. Nice big parking lot right off the service drive, which comes in handy if you don't feel like doing downtown Ferndale. Perfect walkable neighborhood joint if you live near 75 and 9 mile. I've never experienced it being too crowded and there's a solid pool table in the back. Also did my first karoake there and had a blast.“

“Not really much of a sports bar person in the past, and I have lived in Royal Oak for years and just started coming here. The service is always really great, but because it’s so popular sometimes it can get very busy, it’s a great place to watch a Lions game hockey game, etc. The staff is always been extremely personable, and the owners are almost constantly there. Definitely a place that cares about the product they are putting out, The pizza and the cheese sticks are delicious. I will literally die if the cheese sticks ever go away. Definitely an old school bar where you can actually speak to people and meet new people pretty much at any age group. Definitely not the norm for downtown Royal Oak.. Some of the other reviews sound like they’re probably from people who aren’t used to being in public.. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.“
