“Anyone remember when this was called "The Chatterbox" ??? Lol I was a dishwasher here after school I'd walk down the hill and start my shift. Hahaha! I believe my wages were $0.75 per hour in 1990! Lol, and geez I sure thought that was a lot of money for washing dishes!“
“Absolutely best food, incredibly attentive staff, beautiful atmosphere. SO worth it!“

“A great spot for coffee, breakfast or lunch! I appreciate the healthy options and that many of their items are organic. The sisu nisu latte is delicious as well as the avocado toast, and blueberry muffins. We stopped here many times on our vacation and each time it was great!“
“come for the food, stay for the historic atmosphere.“
“Lovely old course to play on vacation. The gentleman in the clubhouse was great, helpful etc. One of the guys mowing was rude when I tried to find out where to leave my cart at the end of the round. Probably needs to find a job with little to no human contact.“

“Such an eclectic menu! From walking tacos to wraps to pizza. Her pizza is THE BEST! The crust is not dense and has a lot of flavor. The cheese is nothing you have probably tasted before on a pizza. I enjoyed the BBQ Chicken Wrap. It was enough for two people. Afterwards, if you have enough room, she has a pretty big selection of ice cream. A few choices are not your typical favors too.“

“A unique place to have breakfast or lunch. They are open from 7:00-1:00, so plan accordingly. The Lindell hash brown eggs were cooked perfectly, the hamburger was okay, nothing too special. We wish they were open in the evenings with dessert offerings!“

My family and I eat there quite a lot, because it is one of the best restaurants with excellent food, and great prices, and it's a great place to Socialize with friends and relatives with great drinks They have to offer..“

“This place is my new favorite! They get very busy on the weekend but worth the wait. Huge beer and cocktail selection; the food never misses; and service is amazing.
If they have the Dill Pickle Soup try it! Pretzels apps are craveable and burgers are the very best!! It’s a must stop when we are in the Keweenaw!“

“Our go-to breakfast spot in the valley. We live in Tamarack City, so location cannot be beat. Every time is amazing, though. Pancakes, omlettes, or our favorite, corned beef hash and eggs (extra cripsy!).
Beyond the food, you cannot beat the setting here. Great photos and some entertaining signs (even in the bathroom). It feels like the embodiment of a Cozy Yooper breakfast.“
“Midway between Houghton and Eagle River made this the perfect spot to enjoy everything the Kewenauw peninsula has to offer. Fluffy towels and pillows, and a peaceful, quiet room. We could really tell how much the new owners cared about our experience and they checked in to make sure we had what we needed. Just a a short ride into Calumet for arts coffee, and food, and just a quick trip east or west to beaches and parks for rock hunting and stargazing, waterfalls, and the beautiful woods. Driving up the shoreline to eagle river and beyond is a must for beaches and nature preserve trails, and the beaches at misery bay, Agate beach, and the mouth of the river near houghton were amazing for rock hounding and relaxing. Close to trails for winter, too. Glacia tavern across the road had great food, and also Slim's Cafefor breakfast a few steps away. Try the cinnamon rolls!“
“The Douglass House Saloon is a Houghton classic! Great atmosphere, cold drinks, and the popcorn makes it even better. This bar has been here since the 1800’s. The real highlight though is the bartender, Tristen—super friendly, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place (and Tristen behind the bar) will make your night! Enjoyed having a drink for my 50th Birthday after dropping off our daughter at Michigan Tech university.“

“Seat yourself style bar and grill, quick and friendly customer service. Several TV’s with sports and a few led boards with up coming games with various sports. Good selections of spirits! The chili cheese fries were amazing, loaded with great portions of chili and nacho cheese. The classic beef hoagie I dressed up as a beef-N-cheddar closest thing to Arby’s lol came with chips and a pickle spear, good size portion.“

“Decor is super basic which is fine cause they put their heart and soul into the food. We had pasties , seasoned potatoes and yogurt and all exceeded expectations. Their cinnamon rolls are the size a lot a small cake and looked phenomenal . So, If you're looking for really good food and don't mind simple seating this is for you. Very friendly staff too. Prices: inflation has not hit this place. Under $10 per plate.“

“I used to love mings but, I was sadly disappointed since they reopened. Started off horribly with our table having rice all over it right when we got there and the egg rolls are like half the size they used to be and taste like frozen grocery store egg rolls (they even gave me a little plastic sauce pack for them, that was a first 🤷🏼♂️) the crab Rangoons are now flat like dumplings and taste way different also. Me and my girlfriend got the General Tsos chicken and Sesame Chicken both came out within 15 minutes BUT, were somehow cold and soggy within that time and both tasted and looked exactly the same for some reason, hers just had sesame seeds on top and mine had red pepper flakes added to it. We left both dishes of chicken and took the rice which was the only decent part for 40+$.“
