The sugar pearl waffle is thee best and the chicken was just so perfectly fried and juicy!!! This is now going to be our new norm chicken and waffles spot! 5 stars hands down! The only down fall is there no sitting options, but it's still worth 5 stars!“

“Ordered through Doordash at 10PM on Christmas evening! What a lifesaver. Dark meat chicken is so good. Lightly breaded (if any breading at all). The skin is very crispy and tasty. Ate it with pickled jalapeno and fried pickles. Reasonable price.“

“Gus's has the best chicken in Detroit and it's not particularly close. I feel like it has almost become underrated with time, but it still holds up.Gus's is one of the only places where I enjoy White meat. The chicken is that juicy. The collard greens are also awesome. This chicken isn't at all like the standard fare around town. It's got a unique batter and taste that I've yet to find anywhere else.The staff is incredibly nice and your food comes out promptly with any sort of modifications you want.Again, there have been a lot of new options for food that have popped up around Midtown. “One of the best places in Detroit to get all your meat and poultry. It’s right across from Eastern Market and there is free parking lot within 50 yards. The selection and quality of food are great. If you have questions and want to pursue the selection, avoid going on Saturdays because they are really busy!“
