“Unbelievably good. Obviously the pie is the star of the show. The flavors rotate, but the crust is always deliciously flaky with a perfectly seasoned, not-too-sweet filling. Don't miss out on the savory hand pie either!

Aside from the pies, everything else is also just really good. The other standouts for me are the savory bread pudding, the rosemary cookie, and the lemon poppyseed cookie, but everything behind the glass is phenomenal.

These sisters sure know how to bake. They're closing up their regular operation soon, but I'm optimistic that they'll find a new, more sustainable way to share their delicious baking with the community.“

“The best bakery baked goods I've EVER had! Stopped in last week for the first time, bought the multi-grain sourdough bread, blueberry muffins and the croissant cinnamon honey muffins. Oh my heavens, delicious doesn't aptly describe the baked goods I ate. The muffins and bread are made with clean, natural ingredients - no fillers or junk. Every item has a distinct flavor profile. The blueberry muffins were bursting with blueberries. The honey drizzle on the cinnamon croissant muffin was divine, tasted like it came straight from the beehive. Le Rouge has a new fan!“

“I always get the mango cakes, very tasty! Though I don't know if I'll get the largest size there. Last time and a separate occasion, the mango were overripe/ sitting out to long and were mushy. I usually go for the smaller sizes now and haven't had that issue.“

“The best cookies and cinnamon roll in Metro Detroit. The cinnamon rolls are huge, made fresh and served warm on the weekends. They are always a big hit at my Open Houses! Highly recommend both, and I look forward to trying the ice cream cookie sandwich. it looks amazing, you can customize your sandwich by choosing your choice of cookies and ice cream flavors.“

“4 star, could have been 5star if they bake the bread a little longer

1. Location is convenient. I don't have to drive to Dearborn for man'oushé (flat bread) if I am nearby for work.
2 Everything is fresh, bread is roll off from a machine at the back and then bake in the brick oven. They need to bake it a little longer because the back of the bread is sort of white.
3. Meat bread is not oily for some reason. more tomato flavor compare to other bakery. Maybe that's how the owner likes it.
4. Zaatar flavor is mild, herb is not overwhelming. Maybe because I ate it when it was cold.
5. Cheese bread is good, bread is thick like pita bread which is odd.

“Excellent pastries. The best cappuccino I ever had. Absolutely perfect. It's a small local place. Constantly busy even during the week. My son loved their roast beef sandwich and cheese Danish. He also had a cappuccino. We live an hour away but I'm hoping to make it more often. Their cakes are divine. Everyone who lives out here goes here and orders their cakes. I've never had anything average .Every item is above and beyond everywhere else. I first visited and ate here when they were in the Village of Grosse Pointe City. Still is the best.“

“My husband and I just got married at the end of September. He's Italian and his family comes here for many desserts and pastries. When I was considering who to go through for our wedding cake, Mannino's was the obvious choice! I don't have very many photos since we are still waiting to get them back from the photographer. We ordered a small, 1-tier cake just for my husband and I to eat, and 170 cannoli for the rest of our wedding guests. We had half with chocolate chips, and half with nuts. They were a big hit and all of our Italian family members loved them! Our cake was delicious as well, and Lisa was very accommodating while we tried to figure out what flavor and fillings we wanted.“

“I stumbled on this place by accident today. The place caught my eye as I drove past it and decided to make a U-turn to try it out. The lady owner was very nice. I saw the German chocolate cake and asked about it and she said thats her top seller. So I tried the German chocolate cake and a fresh spinach pie that was still warm. I enjoyed them both. The spinach pie was buttery tasting and flaky. The German chocolate cake was very good. She said her menu changes up from time to time. She said she bake cakes and pies to order as well. “I've been here multiple times for steaks, this was a go to for my mom's BBQ parties annually for many years. Since they expanded into a restaurant and market we primarily just get the prepared foods since it's a little out of the way now but as a shawarma fan I can say they are top notch and have amazing food. They load up portions and everything has been stellar from flavor to freshness and at a fair price. I will go out of my way to get dinner from here. Highly recommend trying.“

“Chef Denetia did the desserts for my wedding. They were delicious as they were stunning. We did the chocolate framboise cupcake, banana crunch cupcake, passion fruit cupcake, mixed fruit tart, and the orange and rose shortbread. When you go in for a taste test, Chef Denetia will give you the more popular/basic flavors. I HIGHLY recommend you request to try the more unique treats because that is where she truly shines. My only complaint is that she was difficult to get in touch with. And I couldn’t finalize the menu until the week before my wedding because I was waiting on her to make me a few samples she had promised me. That being said, the samples were worth it!!!!“

I had their Maple Shakerato and a brownie. The drink had the perfect level of sweetness once stirred, and the brownie was soft with rich chocolate chunks, really satisfying. The ambience was also great; the indoor seating area had a calm, cozy vibe. Most people were working or studying, so it wasn't too loud, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done.“

“Edit 10/26/25- I have gone in a couple times this year, most pastries are good still but I have run into a few that are not so good. The lemon poppyseed muffins was absolutely terrible, so dry and flavorless. The brownies are just to dense to enjoy.
The Custard torte cake was good, nice and light. I also really love the chocolate tort cake.
Great pastries and desserts. The staff is kind and helpful. Not a fan of them allowing beggers in the bakery to harass patrons.“
