“We come to Flat Rock once, if not twice every week! Had never had a bad experience. Last night we had a new (to us) server, Hector and he was PHENOMENAL! He was extremely nice, checked on us numerous times, just an amazing guy who clearly loves his job. It was our son’s birthday and Hector brought him out dessert with a candle fully ready to sing to him. Thank you again Flat Rock for the amazing time, and Hector for being so amazing with our kiddo and making his day special!“

“I was traveling for work and was looking for a local place to eat and get a cold snack. I found the Flippin Cow was about a mile from my hotel.

Small place with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were pretty friendly and attentive. Typical variety of off the shelf cold snacks but they also offered some of thier own speciality drinks.

Typically type of menu items for this type of establishment but let me tell you... the cook know how to properly cook a flavorful smash burger. I was so impressed that I went back 2 more times during my stay in Elkhart.

If you want a fantastic smash burger without all the franchise noise and distractions... Flipping Cow is your place to go... just don't tell all of your friends... I still want to be able to get a seat when I stop by there next time.“

“I would give them 5 stars but they don't have a driving range. You must tee off crossing the St. Joseph river on 4 holes and the course is beautiful. It is for accurate golfers or those with plenty of extra golf balls for sure. One of my favorite courses in a 6 county area.“

They have good Wisconsin Cheese Curds.. and I always and end up getting the Butter Burger - its greasy, but it's so good! Definitely recommend if you’re hankerin for a great spot to eat!“

“My wife and I had dinner there to celebrate our 63rd anniversary. She had the steak and shrimp while I had the shrimp duo (grilled and fried shrimp). The only minor complaints were the croutons on the salad were very salty and the shrimp (all of them) were slightly overcooked. (Not unusual in the midwest) Although we told her not to, the manager took them off the bill. Our server, Lorenzo, was very attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a very good evening. The Chandon champagne splits were VERY reasonable.“

The service was prompt and friendly, with nice recommendations toward the menu. The food was great! I had AYCE fish (hake) and it was delicious! The breading was nice and light, so you could actually taste the fish. My hubs had fried chicken and he enjoyed that as well! “Love the Bucket!!! BUT, did have an unpleasant experience for the first time in our many visits. 11:00 in the morning it took multiple conversations with staff to get the outdoor music turned down. Other customers also felt the music for that time of day was inappropriate. We are music enthusiasts, But sometimes it’s pleasant to enjoy a meal and cocktail with audible conversation. We will continue to frequent The Bucket and also request music at a reasonable decibel so we can converse comfortably. Thanks“

“We have visited before and knew we would have to wait on a football weekend. We got seated very promptly at a high top in the bar(we like)! The waitress was sweet and delivered good service. The guys had bison meatloaf and it was very salty. (previously it was really good, so my husband recommended it this visit). I had the fish special and it was cooked perfectly. Other dish was a pasta dish and she loved it. Good flavor. We had a very nice time. Food and service very good and we did not have high expectations being it was ND football weekend. Only reason for 1 rating down was the disappointing meatloaf. So more like 4 1/2 stars!“
