“Frequently meet friends and have some of the best brunch in the city. Always busy but for a reason, and the service and hospitality which are already top notch, do not suffer. An example of this is when they bring you your food they remember who ordered which plate. This is one of those underrated hospitality things they do that other establishments don’t reach. “Our favorite restaurant no longer serves Manhattan style clam chowder and we are nothing less than heartbroken. We didn't realize that our favorite thing there wasn't popular enough to retain as a menu item when Leo's changed hands. “I am staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and received a coupon for this restaurant and decided to give them a try. I think they are trying to put everyone on a diet. Portions are small. I had to pay an up-charge for sweet potato fries with my meal and received 6 fries...6! The gentleman at the bar next to me also ordered sweet potato fries and he got 7. He also made a comment to the bar tender. Its like $1 a fry here...cray cray. Service was good. Food, just eh.“

“Yesterday was my first time eating here and the food was amazing! As someone who has had celiac disease for over a decade and had never eaten at a 100% gluten free restaurant, the experience was surreal. 🥹 To be able to look at a menu and order anything I wanted was an incredible feeling. “I ordered the blue gill entry. This was cooked/fried to perfection. Puts my mom’s to shame ( she cooked what we brought home and cleaned). However the Watermelon corn salsa was the best combo I’ve ever tasted!!! If I’d eaten this first I would have ordered a second helping. Oooh so good!“

“Service was great! Cider and cocktails were great! Food was pretty good, but the menu has been heavily reduced. I thought it was silly that they got rid of the veggie wrap, but they still have wraps and veggies available to make this item - so why not keep it on the menu?
Seems wise to also offer a meatless patty substitute for burgers, an easy thing to keep stocked in the freezer.
I know allergen friendly offerings aren't the main priority for many places, but some very basic options would be helpful 😅“

“We came to try out the city sen restaurant. My husband had the mushroom goat cheeseburger. He said it was juicy and flavorful --no condiments necessary. I had the beef quesadillas. although this was on the shareable menu, it was quite large enough for me as a meal. The food was good, but it was the little amenities that made it very special --the unique silverware, carafe of ice water and pleasant ambient music in a modern setting made it a very special place for our date. It was fun to people watch through the open air windows. ( they fold close to keep in the AC if needed )Alex the manager shared with us some things we want to come back for, live music, etc. definitely planning to go back!

Wheelchair accessibility: The restrooms are quite large with low sinks and wide stalls. Although they are on the lower level, the elevator is also large and quite quick.“

“Sunday brunch was at Tupelo Honey n downtown Grand Rapids before heading back home. It's a large restaurant and bar with outdoor seating. Our server was Elayna and she was friendly and sweet. Hubs had the chicken & waffles. Which he said was very good. I tasted the waffle and it was yummy.. I had the garden harvest omelette asking for the goat cheese grits and egg whites instead of whole eggs as those choices were indicated on the menu. Unfortunately, when the food was delivered there was roasted potatoes and no grits. When I told the girl who delivered our food, our server came back with grits apologizing. Then I asked her if the omelette was made with egg whites and she said it should have been, but if you see the pictures it's a yellow omelette. Usually egg white omelettes are light in color, basically white. The food was very good, however the two mishaps on a simple breakfast order shouldn't have happened. Looking at our receipt from the restaurant, the grits and the egg white requests was not noted on my omelette so it looks like our server neglected to enter those into their system for the kitchen. Also I was very disappointed, they only serve specialty iced coffee drinks, not a hot one in sight. How can you offer a variety of iced coffee drinks but not make a hot cappuccino, a Matcha, or a chai?“

“Atmosphere was great had a nice art deco feel. Line to get in kept moving no waiting forever for simple ticket check. The only problem we had was the drink prices were a bit high. Granted tic for comedy show we're not overpriced we understood the 2 drink minimum but when 4 drinks turned out to be $40+. Little much for high moon seltzers and jack/sprite“
