“Oaky’s is out of the way near Grawn, but it’s worth the drive. Old timers knew the place as Giovanni’s Roadhouse, then Maddy’s Tavern. Both had ok food in a rustic building. Oaky’s owners have greatly improved the place. It’s large and airy inside, with a long wraparound deck outside. The food is mighty fine: the kitchen did a first-class job with our Smoked Turkey Club and Steak ’n Mushroom soup. The servers know their stuff and are a pleasure to deal with. The prices are a reasonable - indeed, they’re a buck or two lower per item than what you’ll find at competitors. And the parking lot isn’t the potholed monster like it was back in the old days.“

“OMG… SOOOOO GOOD! We called ahead to see how busy it was and Stephanie was delightful on the phone. When we came in Stephanie’s warmth, charm and friendliness met us at the door! She chatted with us about the restaurant and how it’s a product of her and her husband’s love for food. Everything is sourced from specific farmers so they know where all their ingredients are coming from! 💗 Our sever Vynessa 😊 was AMAZING, took great care of us, gave recommendations, chatted with us and poured love into her service! The food…. Holy smokes, it was so effing good! We had risotto, the flavors and textures just complemented each other perfectly, the best risotto I’ve ever had. The quiche was just as good and had great ingredients of rapini, sweet potato, broccoli, carmalized onions and more! We also had roasted potatoes and bacon sausage. We grabbed a scone and cinnamon roll to go, haven’t tried them at the time of posting this review. Please go here, support small, support local and have some of the best food of your life! “My husband and I both enjoy Indian food. This is hands down the BEST Indian food we’ve ever had! I had Daal Tadka and my husband had Daal Madkani. We also shared garlic naan. The ambience is modern with of course an Indian vibe. The aromas walking in were very enticing yet not over powering. They have a large variety of food. Plenty of vegetarian options which I was pleased with. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was timely yet not constantly interrupting. The chef brings the food to your table which was a lovely touch. I’m addition to the food being delicious, it’s very generous portions. We both had plenty left over to take home. Highly recommend this gem when you’re in Traverse City. We will likely visit it again before we head home next week!“

“Earthen Ales is a pleasant place to enjoy a beer. I stopped by to try a flight of beers and really enjoyed their darker ales. It feels pretty casual and welcoming, and I like how it’s kind of hidden away back there. I’ll have to look out for their beers in my neck of the woods.“

“I happen to live in interlachen and I absolutely love their barbecue chicken pizza I never have to worry about it not having sauces I don't have to worry about only liking onion on half I have never had a bad experience and all of the employees are so pleasant“

“It’s worth your salt to try Identity Brewing. Your first impulse may be to say “What’s up with the biscuit sandwiches?” Biscuits is a clever choice. They taste good. And they maintain their structural integrity when stacked with cuban, club, veggie, and chicken fixins’. That’s as opposed to, say, the buns used by Traverse City hot dog joints, which fall apart before they’re half eaten. Try the Chicken Cordon Bleu biscuit sandwich. Pair it with a pint of Strait Up if you like an IPA, or Amanda’s Folly if you prefer a soft blonde ale. And if you visit Identity between the rushes, chat with the staff. They’re good eggs. The guy we talked with has some of the best body art I’ve seen since the Navy. The gal will tell you she’s got a tat, too. Fair warning: she doesn’t. She gets tickled when she tells men she has a tattoo, then sees their eyes roam across her neck, hands, and ankles looking for it.“

“If you have a pup, this is the place to be. We took our 11-month-old puppy out for her first time. All the other dogs were very friendly and greeted her at the door. Then they went outside for a good romp in the big yard. The humans were also quite friendly and welcoming. It has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. There were a good number of beers on tap and tasty creative holiday drinks. We will definitely return.“

“This has been my favorite stop of our vacation thus far. The beer selection is large so I initially figured it was a quantity of quality place. NOPE. Every beer we tried was solid if not out right delicious. The pizza is made to order and the crust is made by a local. It was incredibly enjoyable. “We visited on 7/8 for a lunch. Food was delicious as always. My nephew accidentally dropped his very FULL shake and it hit the wall and spilled on the floor. The staff was incredibly kind and gracious, replacing his drink very quickly and cleaned up the mess in no time. He was VERY sad and embarrassed but Eden was so sweet and showed him such grace. It is a big disappoint after the 5 hour drive and no one in hospitality bothered to tell anyone staying here about the pool not being warm considering it’s the main attraction to this place“
