“Me and my husband had been eyeing this place for a while and finally decided to try it and OMG we were NOT disappointed!!! From the beautiful lady that waited on us to the range of options we enjoyed the experience! Now the food I can’t put into words EXCEPTIONAL!!!! Thee best ramen I’ve ever had AND THE EGG ROLLS BABYYYY!!! Oh we can’t wait to get back for more!!!! 10/10!“

Piping hot and flavorful, great crust. We will certainly be returning. As far as cost goes, dining downtown it is what it is. Can't really say they're overpriced considering most restaurants in that area are on that same ticket price“

Plus, it was on a sheet of parchment/wax paper that was completely stuck to the crust & impossible to peel off! Unfortunately, these 2 details turned what should have been an enjoyable night into a messy and frustrating experience!“

“Went to Ciao last night for a birthday/Valentines Day dinner. They had a set menu for the night. Every single thing we ate was beyond delicious!! The plates were so pretty to look at and even better to taste. So much love went into each plate! The Gorgonzola gnocchi melted in your mouth. The meat (on the short ribs) fell right off the bone…don’t even get me started on the cheesecake and chocolate creme brûlée!!! 😍 Mia, our server went above and made the night so much better. “Stopped in for dinner & was pleasantly surprised. Great Atmosphere, lovely service & simple Italian ingredients executed beautifully.

From the second the bread basket hot the table to the lovely waitress who bagged up the food we couldn’t possibly eat any more of, we had a great experience.

“Charming. An old school Italian restaurant in a charming part of Grosse Pointe Park. A family friendly restaurant without being adult unfriendly ?. I went with a classic lasagna and it tasted like I was a “made man” in the Corleone family or something. Heaven! Atmosphere was classy without being stuffy. Midweek dinner and not much of a crowd so we were seated right away. I think my favorite part was tomato sauce that was used in the lasagna.“

“I've only bought the Italian sub but I noticed they make pizzas also while you wait. There's an array of salads plus frozen pizza you can pop in the oven. I've had a lot of subs but these are the very best. They make them while you wait.“

“I’m going to call this a hidden gem because “The Hill” is kind of a sleepy business district if I’m being honest. Cafe Nini is also on the opposite side of the street from the majority of the restaurants The Hill has to offer.

Make no mistake, this cozy little Italian restaurant is one of the better restaurants on The Hill. The wife and I went for our regular date night and were definitely not let down.

I had the fruitti di mare and the wife had fettuccini alla carbonara. Both were excellent. Can’t wait to go back and try something different.
