From the beautiful lady that waited on us to the range of options we enjoyed the experience! Now the food I can’t put into words EXCEPTIONAL!!!! “We came at 11pm on a busy Saturday night and we were seated almost immediately. It was a little loud but to be expected on late night weekend. For drinks I ordered the Friend of A Friend, 10/10 for sure. We ordered the garlic knots and got the grandma, pesto, and meatzza pizzas. The Pesto was definitely the star of the evening. Our server Paige was awesome and made us feel right at home. Would gladly come again.“

“We have long been loyal Cook Shop customers and I am writing this review as we recently ordered a take-out catered dinner for ten people and it was outstanding from start to finish!

The entire process was smooth — from placing the order and the excellent recommendations to the thoughtful packaging that made serving at home so easy.

Every dish was fresh, flavourful, and hot as if we were eating at their charming and intimate restaurant. Our guests could not stop raving about the quality and generous portions, from their signature caesar salad to the Orechetti a La Sausice with rapini. We also served Chicken Lemonata paired with mushrooms and it was perfection on a plate. Their tiramisu served as an outstanding finish to an already exceptional meal. My guests were asking the ingredients in every dish as the flavours were spectacular.

The staff was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. It is evident they take great pride in both their culinary quality and customer service.

It had not crossed our minds to use this incredible restaurant for catering, and we are so glad we did. For me, The Cook Shop delivers a dining experience worthy of Michelin Star recognition. I highly recommend The Cook Shop for anyone looking for a stress-free, delicious catering option. They will be catering all of my future dinner parties.“

“Ordered pizza for pickup while staying across the street at Holiday Inn Express. Although the toppings were plentiful and delicious, the crust was undercooked & a little doughy! Plus, it was on a sheet of parchment/wax paper that was completely stuck to the crust & impossible to peel off! Unfortunately, these 2 details turned what should have been an enjoyable night into a messy and frustrating experience!“

“Went to Ciao last night for a birthday/Valentines Day dinner. They had a set menu for the night. Every single thing we ate was beyond delicious!! The plates were so pretty to look at and even better to taste. So much love went into each plate! The Gorgonzola gnocchi melted in your mouth. The meat (on the short ribs) fell right off the bone…don’t even get me started on the cheesecake and chocolate creme brûlée!!! 😍 Mia, our server went above and made the night so much better. Definitely worth every penny!!“

“This food is hands-down, some of the Best Italian food in the metro Detroit region. I had to write this review directly after eating this food because it was so good. It’s a little bit on the pricey side, but believe me you get what you pay for. I ordered the shrimp scampi, and it had a lot of shrimp on it. I was completely stuffed by the end of my meal.“

“Charming. An old school Italian restaurant in a charming part of Grosse Pointe Park. A family friendly restaurant without being adult unfriendly ?. I went with a classic lasagna and it tasted like I was a “made man” in the Corleone family or something. Heaven! Atmosphere was classy without being stuffy. Midweek dinner and not much of a crowd so we were seated right away. I think my favorite part was tomato sauce that was used in the lasagna.“

“I’m going to call this a hidden gem because “The Hill” is kind of a sleepy business district if I’m being honest. Cafe Nini is also on the opposite side of the street from the majority of the restaurants The Hill has to offer.

Make no mistake, this cozy little Italian restaurant is one of the better restaurants on The Hill. The wife and I went for our regular date night and were definitely not let down.

I had the fruitti di mare and the wife had fettuccini alla carbonara. Both were excellent. Can’t wait to go back and try something different.
