“the food here is super yummy. it reminds me of the food i ate in thailand. i did ask one of the servers why it is not as spicy as it is in thailand. they told me that they pair the spice level with modern taste buds in the US. they did tell me that the chef can make a special request to make it as spicy as the food i had over there. i was so happy with my experience. the staff here were super professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. i will definitely come back. 10/10 experience :)“

“We came here for our anniversary and had a good experience. I loved the staycation cocktail, the calamari and the the sea scallops were the best I’ve ever had. Sadly the lamb appetizer was over cooked and the prime rib was chewy. Not great. It was also served with burnt hummus. Our waitress was good to me but seemed irritated with us that the steak wasn’t great. We won’t be rushing back any time soon. But we love Detroit and trying new restaurants.“

“My husband and I took my mom for her birthday dinner, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is upscale and yet relaxing. Gavin was our server, and he made great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the wine list. We had a fun chat about the Culinary Institute of America. And he shared his love of food and wine. The menu is extensive, and all of the food was heavenly. We had the most delicious steaks (cooked to perfection), crab, fresh vegetables with creamy rich sauces, mushrooms were fabulous, and the risotto was perfection! We had strawberries flambé, lemon tart, and crème brûlée. They were all perfectly balanced with rich and bold flavors. The meal was perfectly paced, and Gavin made our evening very special. “First off, the everything bagel wings were so juicy that it squirted in my gfs face. Main takeaway. And very tasty, IMO! I got the peach rosemary zero proof drink, very tasty. My partner got the "deez nuts" which was fun to watch her squirm and request it hahaha She got the primavera, it was okay. Could use more salt/flavor. I got the baby kale salad that tasted pretty good but the salad items were not cut up, so it made it slightly difficult to eat, but I think that's a personal preference. I got the blackened chicken and it was over cooked but good flavor. Decent place, just some execution errors. Fast casual for right before the Nicki Minaj concert. Our server was sweet and prompt. Top notch service from everyone we encountered there“

“disappointing birthday celebration. our most recent trip was a disappointment. our service was slow which isn't usually a big deal for us, but we were there for 2 hours and left without our birthday dessert in order for us to get to our show afterward. 2 hours should have been plenty of time for meals plus birthday dessert, and it usually is, but this time they fell short of expectations. hopefully they do better next time.“

We intended to just ask one of the servers if he could alert our server we were ready to order but he ended up taking our order for us rather then having us wait and he was very helpful with the menu and very informative. We also met I believe the supervisor or manager after he came to our table and he too was very personable and kind. My husband and I really enjoyed the food and the vibe of the restaurant itself was lively and welcoming. Great drinks! We've had a lot of M&C and this, by far was the best!! They use heavy cream plus different cheeses and the result is *Heaven in a Crock." I'm not kidding. He's also tried their shrimp and sausage stir fry and fish and chips - all were wonderful. We made a reservation for Saturday evening, place was not packed we were seated in the downstairs area by the bar clean neat decor with NOLA vibes. Our server was great she recommended the oysters based on your preference and suggested the beef tartar as an appetizer. For main dish we opted for shrimp risotto and chefs special that evening was sea-bass with crusted vegetables. Outstanding fish was buttery and flaky and risotto had ton of flavor. Dessert was an interesting combination of sponge cake soaked up with caramelized pears just wow!! They also have a live jazz music upstairs. Great experience absolutely worse a drive. “Nicks country oven is the best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. I stopped in for my lunch break and ordered the gyro omelette with freshly cut potatoes, white toast and coffee. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. The staff is absolutely friendly and always have the biggest smiles on their faces. I felt so welcomed. I’m happy I found this restaurant and will be making this my regular spot for the days I forget my lunch for work. (Hopefully I forget my lunch more often). “I 1st thought the food was horrible. However, I ordered it from door dash and took roughly 1.5 hrs. So the food was cold and saturated in too much garlic butter. I give everything 2 tries. I ordered take out, I live less than a mile away, the food was nice and hot! Wasn't drowned in butter. The shrimp are deep fried enough to eat the tail. Prices are great for shell fish. “Food is tasty. Ive tried the sliders, egg rolls and gumbo. All are pretty good. My only complaint is they are expensive. I spent $20 on lunch. Portions are small and pricey. I can think of other carry out spots where I can spend half the money and get basically 2 lunches. Definitely worth a try it your not on a budget.“

“The Polish Yacht Club's Walleye and Perch are some of the best in all of Detroit (only Andrew's competes and it's a bit more expensive). It's a large portion that's cooked perfectly and tastes incredibly fresh (a rarity around here, but I won't name names). It's fried, but not greasy at all, and it's flaky because it's fresh (no squishy fish here, thank God) Every dinner is served with pickles, coleslaw, French fries and soup so the value is ridiculous. They also don't lack condiments (malt vinegar included) which I appreciate. The inside of the Yacht Club genuinely looks like the Cigar Lounge of a Country Club. I love it. Small, casual with old school elegance. And the service gives off that same vibe. It's like you're in a cigar lounge only with no smoking and excellent food. She took our food orders.I don’t know if our food just sat under the heat lamp too long but both of our dishes were over cooked. I got a chicken sandwich (also under seasoned again) and he got the sword fish. Both very dry.Also I got a rum runner which was very good (just tell them to hold the dead flies)For the price we paid, I don’t think our dinner was worth it. “This place used to be Mike's chicken. I haven't been there in a couple of years. 2 weeks ago, I decided to stop by this restaurant, which I thought it was Mike's chicken. I was looking at the menu and realized it had a whole new name called Hooks chicken. So as the new owner was speaking to me. I decided to continue with my order. I'm not going to lie! That fired chicken , shrimp, and onion rings were the bomb. I already had been back for a second time.“

I ordered the strawberry basil lemonade mocktail and found it to be too sweet. The hibachi chicken was good but the rice was a little too salty.
