“Incredible food at a very reasonable Price. Tasted and looked very authentic. \n\nBe careful with the spicyness. Even the medium plates are very spicy so i dont imagine what thé hot ones are. But everything was tasteful and great.\n\nHow server, might be the owner, was very nice and sweet.\n\nHowever, for canadians especially, be aware that they serve American portions hehehe. Impossible to finish a dinner including appetizer and dinner. \n\nWould definitively recommand.“

“I tried Vicente’s Cuban Restaurant in Detroit last weekend before a Tigers game and it did not disappoint! A lot of restaurants downtown were either closed or had long waits, so I decided to give Vicente’s a try and I’m glad I did. “Hey, folks. If you’re thinking about checking this place out, I say “it is a must”. I am a dasher for DoorDash and I frequent this place getting orders, so I finally decided to order. Big fat OMG! I ordered a hot pastrami sub. Soooooo good. This place is located inside a gas station, so it is take-out only. Way worth it though. Most items seem to be between $12 and $16. There are some items above that, but the majority of items are quite reasonable. Only downside is limited parking space.“

“So disappointing. Yearssssss ago, this place used to be my go to for Mediterranean dishes. After 2020, this place has consistently gone down hill. At first it was "hit or miss" but its all "miss". So much so that I went to be bed hungry vs eating my carry out. It's so unfortunate because they used to be so good. Yesterday was my last try, I bow out.“

“Mediocre food at a hefty price. The filet I ordered was undercooked and due to being full from the clam chowder soup and bread, I didn't know until after I took it home. I fed the majority of it to my dog. The feedback I received from the owner was, "I bet the dog didn't complain." Suggestions: Train staff to have customers cut into their steak to make sure the temperature is accurate and cooked accordingly. (I regrettably should have done so anyways while I dined in) The owner definitely doesn't care about returning customers, but I will make sure to leave this review on multiple sites simply for the fact of how it was addressed with rude sarcasm. “I went to Taj AL-Yemen simply because it was open early and did not realize the space they took over nor how much variety they have.

1st this was a very famous breakfast spot in Hamtramck before the change of owners and I'm happy to say it still is. Very steady stream of workers coming in for a quick bite or grab coffee and something to go.

2nd the variety is wide and it's all very very good. I ordered fosoulia with egg, chicken galaba but it was too early for tandoori bread. I also got a mango lassi (yes I have to order it everytime I see it)

When I arrived I first drove past remembering the old spot then I double checked GPS. The inside layout of the restaurant has been redone, lots and lots of seating. You still have the doughnut counter but the I noticed Burek, whenever I see Burek I have to order it they have feta and spiced beef. It's super fresh and still warm at 7:15 am.

There's another hot food case, lots of choices but I saw the East African/Western Arabian (Arab/Swahili) style sambosas (yes with the B!) and of course I had to get 6 of those with the spice shake.

Additionally they have the same Arab/Swahili style sesame + honey crackers so I had to get some of these as well.

FINALLY I'm looking and they have the tastiest looking Saffron Rice and it was too fresh to pass up and a medium size box also had to come with me.

Now when I say I bought a lot of food I really mean I bought a lot of food. With tip it was only $70 and I'll be eating for days.

So happy to have found this gem in Hamtramck that opens up super early on my 2nd day of vacation. There's too much good food, the doughnut also look amazing. I'd say you have to go for the samBosas alone.“

The food was delicious and well prepared. My favourite dish was the carbonara gnocchi and duck breast. I would’ve loved to give this place a 5 star but the service was not great considering we were the only ones at the restaurant. Every time a plate was brought to our table, the server would already be walking away, while describing the contents of the dish. When we would wave the server down to ask a question, he never fully stopped at our table and didn’t wait to see if we had any other questions. He just walked away.
