Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. “Buddy's pizza is definitely at the top of Detroit style pizza. It's not overly thick and has great flavor throughout. The toppings are fresh and they let you do half and half in their large ones. The special seasoned sauce really seals the deal on the pizza and is free to add as a substitute for their original sauce. The wings were okay, but really small for the price. Probably wouldn't order those again. OThe waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and definitely helped us make informed decisions about the pizza. I would definitely recommend Buddy's and will eat there again.“

I guess it's because it's cooked to order, so you have to wait about 30 minutes for your pizza after ordering. But the deliciousness is worth the wait. The Andrea Bocelli inspired spaghetti carbonara and lamb shank were perfect! The menu offers a large variety of items, we will definitely revisit (but next time no apps as they’re filling, along with the free bread given as well). The restaurant is kid friendly, and plenty of high chairs are available.The only complaint I have is I was leaving the restaurant with a stroller, and the doors don’t have automatic open functions and many staff were at the front desk chatting and using their cell phones which was unprofessional.“

It comes in a marinara sauce and a generous dollop of creamy riccota. The eggplant parmesan is properly cooked and also delicious. It comes with a side of spagetti. Only critique is the side of pasta lacks sauce. It is a bit pricey, but 2 will eat this for 2 days, so the value is there. This is about as good if not better then most other quality dine in Italian restaurants. And the nicest thing is the staff is excedingly friendly and an absolute pleasure to interact with.“
