“Good place to eat it’s worth you time“

“I was recently vacationing on Lake Huron and a local asked me if I’d been to Amar Pizza and suggested we stop there on our way home. I was quite intrigued that I was being recommended a place to try that was over 2 hours away from where we were, but stopped we did, and damn I’m so glad we did!

First, how on Earth does this place have an average rating of a 4? The low ratings must be from a long time ago because this place runs extremely well and they have mastered their unique pizza. This place is one to go to and one to tell all your friends about.

We were planning on ordering 2 small deep dish pizzas- a Naga and a Tandoori, but we ended up ordering a large and they were willing to split the pizza in half- which was a cost savings and super nice of them, for the same amount of pizza.

The cashier was super welcoming and friendly and walked us through the menu and I thought her customer service was top notch. We ordered our pizza and were quoted 20 minutes, and it was ready in a little less time than that. The pizza was made fresh and boiling hot from the oven.

Both pizzas belong in their own category of food. They are pizza but they also taste like something else. The components were well mastered- the crust was crispy and fluffy, and tasted a bit like a light focaccia. The flavors were well balanced- not too greasy or spicy or hot- really just perfect. I love the way they chop red onions, it really allows you to get the full onion flavor which I love.

The interior was modest but clean. There was bulletproof glass like other reviewers mentioned. I’m not from the area but the neighborhood seemed safe, just not a white area, and I would have eaten inside if I didn’t have dogs waiting in the car.

They have an extensive of typical and more unique beverages. I couldn’t resist trying the Mango Pepsi, which was delicious.

The prices were incredibly reasonable- I spent $40 that covered four meals. And the pizza was really good reheated too. They charge a 4% fee to pay with a credit card.

I marked this as a place to definitely return next time Im in the area. Thanks Amar Pizza for a great experience!

Parking: There was plenty of paid street parking when we visited around noon on a Thursday. The fee was 25 cents for 15 minutes. We waited about 20 minutes for our pizza after ordering so 30 minutes should cover you if you are taking it to go!“

“Ordered food to go through UberEats. The food portions were really generous. I liked the mandi rice and mandi chicken which were really authentic and tasty. The mandi lamb could have been more tinder and the broth was not clear and had many of the bottom spices. Overall, the food was really delicious, authentic and worth the price. The only issue I had was with UberEats experience where they picked up the wrong order at the first time“

“Usually, I come here to grab lunch for my boyfriend and honestly the service is amazing especially for a Little Ceasars very nice and welcoming. I feel like the put care in making our pizzas.

I always receive my food made to order, This might be my new favorite Little Ceasars.“

“What a great little gem. The food was amazing. Started with the chicken somosas with the green sauce.. fantastic the green sauce has a wonderful flavor and nice little kick. We got the butter chicken and the beef kala buna very yummy. The waitress was amazing very helpful with order and even given me a try on the amazing sweet treats they had there. “Been a long time since I’ve found a spot that gave me food worth my money. Everything seems to be shrinking, but the price. The deals here are definitely reasonable. The pizza here is pretty good. I ordered the XL Cheese Pizza w/ Garlic Butter Crust & Butter-Parm All Over as well as an XL Pepperoni.

Parking: Parking in Hamtramck is tricky. Respect the meters, cause they do have cameras. Don’t get a ticket in the mail.“
