“Well, this is your typical somewhat hole in the wall bar, although a little more upscale than that.

The food typically is pretty good. The service not so much.

I probably should have given a little higher score for atmosphere.

My two biggest issues. The relatively minor, but annoying.
First, for most things other than fries there's an upcharge, about three bucks. But they don't tell you that typically, even when you ask
The other problem is they have begun charging a credit card surcharge. They are required by law to post notice of that, prominently displayed, and to let you know about it. But they don't do it.
Those two things are off putting.
Overall, though, reasonably good place.

“Went to FrameBar yesterday for the BirriaBar pop-up with chef Eddie Vargas. Food was excellent and a great value for the amount of food at the price point. I loved that the chef was making the rounds in the dining room to ensure every customer was satisfied. The birria platter and quesabirria were both great, as well as the salsas, queso, and aguacates. Lastly, the bar had good Mexican-inspired drink options, with the smoked Oaxacan old fashioned being my favorite for both taste and presentation. Great work all around.“

“We had dinner and it was delicious. Every single dish had its own character and unique P+P touch. We had Steak Tartare (mayonnaise based which was different but good), Filet Mignon, Asparagus, Mushrooms, Lobster Risotto, I forget the name of the salad - and the cocktails were *perfect* and presented beautifully. The service was incredible, staff friendly and welcoming, overall atmosphere outside (where we sat) was perfect and spacious. Honestly for my Wife and I to start our evening for an anniversary date night at P+P - I couldn’t be happier. You will spend money. It’s worth it. They did go the extra mile for us, had a Happy Anniversary card waiting, brought out a desert for us with an edible chocolate piece that said “Happy Anniversary” - and it was fun. I cannot wait to go back.“

“My brother in law found this place because he was diagnosed with diabetes, he likes the sweets and their keto cookies are amazing. They have all sorts of sweet baked goods, but the cookies and the keto cheese cake will take the edge off for the sweet baked goods cravings. This is a neat neighborhood business that is clean, offers great goods and the service is very friendly. Give them a chance and you will discover that you will not be disappointed.

Unfortunately, the $5 pretzel was a bit disappointing. It was on the harder and bland side even with the seasoning and only came with a spicy mustard, with no option for cheese, which would have been a nice addition. Not worth the price. The atmosphere, however, was warm and inviting, with plenty of board games to enjoy - perfect for a relaxed outing.“

“One of my favorite places! Staff is great. They have limited indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating (covered with heaters for cold weather). The patio is such a vibe!

I love the Belle Island smoothie. I add the adaptogenic mushroom mix to mine for an additional cost. Other add ons include electrolyte hydration boost, maca, pea/whey protein, hangover helper, immune booster, etc.

I haven’t tried much of their food menu, but if you want a good snack, I always enjoy the power bites — made with sunflower butter, date, goji berry, oats, chia, date syrup, and sea salt. Delicious! :)“

“At a recent family birthday celebration, I needed appetizers at the last minute. I went to the right people for help! It was no problem for Kal and Ann! They cheerfully made fresh batches of delicious hummus (two varieties) which came with chips and pita bread. I served that, along with two kinds of their fabulous soup, to my dinner guests. Everyone complimented the delicious food Kal and Ann prepared. If you haven’t tried KAL’s Lunch Bowl, located in the Royal Oak Farmers Market yet, I recommend it. “I am a resident of Birmingham for the past 4 years, the are ice cream parlors on each corner of Woodward. My point is that the product is amazing! The best ice cream! It’s very sad to me that the staff never says thank you…. In my experience.

“I tried the Chai ice cream mixed with Biscoff the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The nitrogen gives it an incredibly smooth texture, and the flavor is perfectly balanced with the right amount of chai.

However, I do have one complaint: their hours can be unreliable. Even though their Google listing says they’re open, I’ve found them closed several times when I’ve visited. This is particularly frustrating because I drive from Florida to Michigan for a week during Christmas break every year and always make a point to stop by. It’s disappointing to arrive and find them closed, especially since their mobile ordering system still works.

“I’m 49…this place was my first job when I was 18 and found out I was gonna be a father…and after all these years Markies in my opinion is the best pizza joint around…everything on the menu is top notch and it’s hard to decide what to order…I highly recommend the Raviolis..the Ribs…the sliders …the Bacon sticks…the Poppers…the wings…and the pizza. The folks that all work there are the best and they always aim to please…I will always be loyal to markies“
