“Hi everyone. I experienced this place for the first time yesterday. I would just like to say that the fish was not that fresh. I ordered a pickerel fish uncooked, just bone and scaled. When I got home I had to still scrape scales off my fish. The eyes on the pickerel was only half clear. Whenever you buy from a seafood market the eyes on the fish should be as white as possible. I would suggest to customers to cook your own food, that way you’re not eating food cooked in everyone’s oil. The fish was a 6 out of 10 but they could do better.“

“Wow. What an absolutely fantastic final dinner of 2023! After we managed to find a late dinner reservation for New Year's Eve, it was a relief to discover that our excitement about the tasting menu was well-placed. I would definitely recommend the drink pairings as well! The amuse-bouche featuring oysters from the West and East coasts was a delightful way to splash into the meal. The wasabi and the mangosteen featured in each of the oysters, respectively, complimented the beautiful brine of the oysters in such a wonderfully playful way. This first tasting urged us to pause the menu progression and order an extra dozen oysters to explore the other possibilities. Tasting from Vancouver to Prince Edward Island, they were beautifully prepared and of excellent quality. The first course of lobster salad felt like a summer in Maine. Not that I've ever been to Maine, but the imaginary scene flashed across my vision as I took that first refreshing bite. The grapefruit emulsion worked almost majestically with the light, refreshing flavor of the lobster salad. The tapioca chip was perfect for the crunch to fully bring the different elements of the dish together. A fascinating intersection of refreshment and comfort. The second course was the potato pavé. I'll be thinking of this potato often for the foreseeable future. It was one of those dishes that makes your eyes pop open a bit when you bite it as you realize how good it is. A beautifully layered and seared rectangle of flaky delicious potato resting with a lovely salsa brava speckled with trout roe, topped with tarragon, cured trout, and black truffle flakes. I don't even know what else to say. It was stunning. Sea urchin buttered ramen, the third course, will always be what I wish my at-home thrown-together ramen could be. It was rich, it was luscious, it was comforting. Growing up in southeast Texas, crawfish boils were always some of the most exciting times of the year. The crawfish tails in the ramen brought me back to those summer days eating crawfish with a cold beer. The duck breast for the fourth course was exceptionally cooked. It was juicy and flavorful and made a perfect bite with a bit of cauliflower, raisins, apricot, agrodolce, and foie-sauce. Each bite was such a symphony of flavor that kept me coming back. Last but absolutely not least was the gâteau ardéchois: the chestnut cream cake. Accompanied by cranberry coulis and crispy meringue bites, this dessert was a sweet but still mellow finish. While the coffee mascarpone ice cream was a robust and complementary flavor, we both agreed the vanilla coconut ice cream was the star between the two. Thank you again to the stellar crew at Mink! “Went here for our 11th anniversary. Was recommended here many times. We had the tableside tomahawk for 2. Sliced by the tableside by the manager and plated as well tableside. When i tell you, this steak was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Seared to perfection, excellently cooked, and very conservatively seasoned to bring out of every flavor of the steak. The house salad and dressing is unlike any around, leaving you wanting more. Our waiter (Joe) i believe was absolutely stunning. He caters like no other, but also lets you enjoy your meal, without interupting and still servicing. If i could rate higher, i absolutely would. I will DEFINITELY be back here. “We dined here for the first time this week and had an incredible experience. The ambience and quality of service really stood out to us. The build out of the space is also beautiful. The food was some of the best we’ve had in Detroit. We especially recommend the chips and side salsas, tlayuda, tetela, and enchiladas! We will definitely be returning.“

“On Oct. 19, I ordered the Shoreline Shrimp & Scampi
Plump sea scallops & tender jumbo shrimp simmered in a luscious lemon & caper cream w/ grape tomatoes. Served w/ crispy red skin potatoes, fresh vegetables and grilled garlicky toast rounds.

I ordered this entree with linguini noodles. The shrimp and scallops were great!

The cream was bland and there was no luscious lemon, caper cream. The cream was loose and I did not taste any lemon or capers (almost nonexistent and tasteless) which generally adds a nice flavor to food. Also, I did not get any grilled garlicky toast rounds.

I have ordered this entree several times before and it was DELICIOUS. I even encouraged my friend to order it and she was disappointed as well.

I will return to Lilly's because overall the food is really good. I just hope the next time I order this entree, the flavor truly fits the description and I get my garlicky toast rounds. P.S. Seth our waiter was GREAT!!!!“

“I am a huge oyster person and I had to come and try. We came on a sunny fall day and ate on the cute patio. We got the tower for 2 and the fall salad and some drinks. It's definitely a place for drinks and small bites because we ordered a tower, half dozen oysters, the scallops and a couple drinks and I wasn't satisfied. But the flavors were so good I really liked their Mignonette and sauces. I love how they had mocktails. The service was great and fast as well. I would definitely come back.“

“Ran into this place the day before the marathon. Sat at the bar and got recommendations on what to get from the staff. Everything was fantastic. We ended up with calamari, scallops, gnudi, and trilece for dessert. This place was one of the best parts of our trip and we're excited to return. The only thing better than your food is your staff.“

“Excellent dining experience! My dinner entre was expertly prepared with all the native Indian spices and seasonings combining in a perfect and tasty way. I highly recommend the native naan bread with garlic and cheese...wonderful! So many times at previous Indian restaurants the seasonings were way to over powering. Not the case here...everything was well balanced and delicious with a 1-5 individual level of culinary heat. I chose level 2 (mild with a touch of fire) and it was perfect for my tastes. Additionally, the service for our group of 11 was attentive and perfectly organized. A very friendly and informative manager offering suggestions and descriptions of each menu item we inquired about. “My family and I just left left the Detroit Seafood Spot. It was a great experience. The food was del-lis-ious. The hospitality was off the chain for me because since we have been here in Detroit, the places we have gone to eat have been everything but nice. Places we will not patronize again. Not so with Detroit Seafood Spot. We will be going back again and again. I can't remember the name of the gentleman who serviced us but his personality was something you don't get often and he has the most prettiest smile and white teeth. If you want good food, give this place a try. We highly recommend. You also can get take out as well. Very satisfied. 👍🏾😁

If its the weekend there isn't lunch prices duh!
You can not see an empty table,sit yourself down, and wonder why you didn't get service. Duh!
No reservation? You are not entitled to any explanations other then "You are welcome to make a reservation for 9pm tonight" no one has to tell you how long they are holding an earlier reservation for. Its not yours you are not entitled to answers about a reservation that is not yours. DUH!!
So many negative reviews because you feel as though the employees were looking down on you. I have checked across your other negative reviews and they have the same complaint.... I think you are the problem. DUH!!
Last but not least, Your Husband said he called and was told on a Saturday that reservations were not necessary. Yeah sure. He either called the wrong place, or he was told "We aren't taking reservations for today" that is not the same as reservations aren't necessary and if you do not know the difference you have no business eating at an establishment such as this, stick to coney islands because I guarantee its one of those two things. No one told him that Reservations weren't necessary on a Saturday night. Use some common sense DUH!

I really don't know or understand what's going on with the fish market these days, but the fish from other establishments I have frequented, are bad pieces of fish to sell to the market.

I won't name the establishment, but they serve fish for profits only. The quality of the fish is subpar at best .

Fred's has consistently served fresh flavorful fish, with choice pieces that were selected for satisfaction and to cure the hunger of their customers.

“Ordered a carry out for my wife that just had surgery! She also has a gluten and egg allergy, the staff was very helpful in determining the food was free of these allergens. BTW, the chicken fettuccine Alfredo was awesome and the noodles were some of the best we have had!

“They have been at this location for 3 years; this used to be a family dining restaurant. Yeah, for filling in the location with an exciting dining spot vs leaving the building abandoned; let's support this local business!

I was here for a Yelp Elite event last night. I loved the atmosphere and the service was some of the best I have experienced. I just love pleasant, happy, kind service; the world needs more of this. We tasted so many different dishes and I loved them all. My favorite dish included the super-yummy sauce/gravy that comes with the Hibachi Combo plates...off the charts tasty! While the restaurant name and theme screams 'seafood' I sampled their wings and mmmm-mmmm-good! I'm not a big fan of oysters but their oysters were tender and juicy; loved them. The fried rice was fluffy and flavorful. The prices are very reasonable.

I wish I were in a mood to have a drink but I just wasn't so I passed up the bar but I could tell they had a wide selection of mixed drinks, beer and wine.

This is a great place to take a date or have a fun family meal.“
