Randomly came across Gaijin late night after leaving Go! Comedy Ferndale.
I was ecstatic when they had 80s video karaoke when I walked in!!
The owner Remy is great! I told him to surprise me with some ramen & a roll. They were both amazing!
I rarely do reviews, but I had to shout out this place! I'll be back & im bringing everyone lol“

“We went here for our friend's birthday, and it was fantastic! I had the French toast, and it was light and fluffy with delicious sweet cream!

One friend had the steak benny and really enjoyed it, while another got the southwest benny, but subbed the chorizo for carne asada. A couple toppings accidentally got left off, but our server was SO sweet and helpful, and got those for us right away!

Another friend got the Monte Cristo, which was also phenomenal. I snagged a bite, and I really loved the way they batter and fry the whole sandwich! The twisty fries it came with are also delicious!

I ordered an affogato as my beverage, and it was a very fun, fancy experience! It comes in a cute raised glass and you get to pour the shot yourself. It was delicious! I finished it before the food even arrived!

This place has wonderful food and a great vibe! My friends and I can't wait to come back!“

“Our sister outing started and ended at 220 Merrill St. We had a good time enjoying good company, good service, and atmosphere.

Our reservations were at 3:00 which was during happy hour. If you want to enjoy their happy hour you must sit in the bar area.

Also, we didn’t know you cannot order dinner until 4:00. So, we ordered the Mediterranean Barbecue chicken flat bread while we waited, delicious, it truly lit our appetite on fire, as we watched the clock slowly clicking to 4:00.

The time had finally arrived. We placed our orders, 3 lamb chop dinners (5 big chops) and 1 Filet Mignon with a lobster tail.

Everyone started chowing down on there chops served with saffron rice, chopping up the tender steak and sopping the lobster tail in butter, it was on.

The chops were very flavorful, tender, nice size, and divine. The chef, knows their calling.

Our waiter was s handsome older gentleman ready to serve. Explained everything throughly about ordering before 4:00, making sure we were comfortable while waiting.

Overall from being seated to leaving wagging our tails, our sister outing was fantastic. Maybe next time we’ll sit on the patio. Patrons were out eating, chatting, and enjoying the sun. 🌞“

My only issues were the brown rice that came with it was too small of a small portion and I needed more to go with the main dish. Extra rice was 6 bucks for another small bowl. I asked if they had Sriracha and they brought a small mini plate of it. I looked over the bill and they charged $1 for the Sriracha. Asked for a lil extra ginger and they added $2 for that. The server said there would be an extra charge for rice, but didnt mention anything extra for the ginger and Sriracha. I don't like being nickled and dimed for things that should be included, especially a sauce. Server was attentive and did a great job.“

“Perfect date spot for your nerdy girlfriend. This cafe has a cozy coffee house vibe. Soufle pancakes are what you order for her - worth the 30min cooking time. Takoyaki was so much fun.

Sushi rolls were very well thought out, flavors balanced and layered but kept the high quality fish as the primary flavor. I was seriously impressed with the sushi rolls. 5 out of 5 stars.“

“Came here for sushi and it definitely did not disappoint. I ordered the GM Roll and the New Salmon Roll, and both were really tasty. You can tell the ingredients were fresh, especially with the salmon. The GM Roll had a nice crispy texture with a sauce that brought everything together really well. I also appreciated how nicely everything was plated — it felt upscale but still comfortable and relaxed. Service was quick, there was no wait, and parking was easy too. I’d absolutely stop by again.“
