I had their Maple Shakerato and a brownie. The drink had the perfect level of sweetness once stirred, and the brownie was soft with rich chocolate chunks, really satisfying. The ambience was also great; the indoor seating area had a calm, cozy vibe. Most people were working or studying, so it wasn't too loud, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done.“

“I highly recommend The Roost Detroit. The hot chocolate is a winner. I also enjoy their mocha. Both the the atmosphere and service is mellow and efficient. The pastries and meals are freshly made, daily. This is a favorite cafe of mine for drinks, pastries and specialty items.“

“Absolutely stellar in almost every way. Two things to tweak: today it's maybe 60 degrees, and they just turned the AC on, so it's pretty chilly in here. They also need to modify their playlist; most people are here to work or study, and the music can be a little energetic, heavy bass, loud vocals for that purpose. I have earplugs in and still find it pretty distracting.“

What was even better was that this Black-owned shop delivered in good service and outstanding quality and great varieties of coffee and teas! I had the delicious salted caramel latte!! And the best part was LITERALLY THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH I have ever had at a coffee shop!! I had the turkey and cheese deluxe sandwich with their house sauce and Swiss cheese! There is a self ordering kiosk and we were offered the option to use the kiosk or to place our order with the restaurant staff. He was super helpful and patient. “This place is amazing! From the staff upfront to the drinks + the pastries here. The matcha was amazing, it was the perfect color. I added lavender in mine and it was very good! The pistachio latte here is also amazing! Not too sweet and you can actually taste pistachio! Very friendly staff and great atmosphere for studying!“

“This is my 2nd time ordering takeout from this place. The first time I got a hot Adani tea and honestly it was the first time it matched my preference. The caffeine level wasn’t intense. Usually when I get it from other Yemeni cafés, I end up not being able to sleep at night, but this one felt much lighter.

The second time I tried their cold pistachio latte and it was good. What really caught my attention though was their mousse selection. They had an assortment that included pear shape mousse and I think apple shape mousse, and it’s cute 🥰. They also have these cute teddy bear ice creams.

Another thing I noticed is they offer different kinds of khaliat bread stuffed with white cheese and drizzled with honey on top. They had flavors like pistachio and lotus.“

I have never heard of combining espresso and ginger beer, but the combination was absolutely amazing! Super unique, but the ginger beer has the right amount of spice kick for sure, highly recommend!

“If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“

“Their drinks are soooo delicious! Honestly my fav tasting latte in midtown. I love the cinnamon roll latte, cookie butter latte and the chai latte They also have a yummy caprese sandwhich. My only complaint is that they put quite a lot of ice in the drinks and not enough actual liquid. Also, usually hard to get a spot, but that’s just because they are so popular :) also their rewards system is nice!“

“My experience at The Espresso House was excellent overall. We found this spot online, and it is truly a hidden gem. The atmosphere was very masculine and spacious, with large televisions showcasing different soccer games. Very cool to have if you’re a soccer fan. The service was also amazing.
