“Went here for the first time with my daughter, who is a coffee aficionado. We both loved the decor of the place. It’s quite beautiful and the menu offers so much variety that I wasn’t familiar with, I know I’ll be back. Our coffees were unique, and the pastries were tasty. I’ve seen others complain about the price but we paid about $20 for two coffees two pastries and that includes a tip. I don’t think that’s unreasonable in today’s world and it’s so much better than chain coffee shops.“

“I highly recommend The Roost Detroit. The hot chocolate is a winner. I also enjoy their mocha. Both the the atmosphere and service is mellow and efficient. The pastries and meals are freshly made, daily. This is a favorite cafe of mine for drinks, pastries and specialty items.“

They also need to modify their playlist; most people are here to work or study, and the music can be a little energetic, heavy bass, loud vocals for that purpose. “I've been a few times and it's such a nice cozy space with the seating areas and bookshelves lining the walls. I noticed they had a patio area setup in the back too once the weather got nice. Recently, on 2 separate occasions, I tired their matcha mint lemonade, salted burnt honey latte, and I got a breakfast sandwich too. I really loved the lemonade and would get that again, but that latte I would drink every day if I could I was so sad when it was done lol.“

They’re open pretty late in the day, meaning you can enjoy a latte in the morning, a refresher at lunch, or an evening sweet treat all from one place.

The hot Mocha is my go to but we've also tried their Matcha, Tiramisu and Caramel Macchiato which are all also delicious! I highly recommend checking this coffee place out! “Unique. I love their red bean donut, but everything there is amazing. The atmosphere is bright and it is always busy and somewhat loud, but it does have wifi and one is able to concentrate. They have so many optioms for food if one doesnt like something as traditional as a red bean donut. Everyone ive gone with has found something they like there. There is always a diverse crowd there. It is a cool one-off place everyone should try.“

“I went to this coffee shop for the first time and instantly loved the classy, clean, and local vibe of it! What was even better was that this Black-owned shop delivered in good service and outstanding quality and great varieties of coffee and teas! I had the delicious salted caramel latte!! And the best part was LITERALLY THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH I have ever had at a coffee shop!! I had the turkey and cheese deluxe sandwich with their house sauce and Swiss cheese! It amazed me of how fresh, soft, and lightly sweet the croissant bread was, and how delightfully flavorful the rest of the sandwich was!! I gotta go back!!“

There is a self ordering kiosk and we were offered the option to use the kiosk or to place our order with the restaurant staff. He was super helpful and patient. “If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“

Both were excellent, not too sweet, and the price was reasonable. The employee at the drive thru was also very nice, didn't rush us to order as it was our first time here.
